The location is very nice (quiet, away from big streets, walking distance from the sea, with a lot of green areas around) and in a walking distance from train station. The accommodation is basic but clean and functional. The self check in (after 3pm) was no problem. The common kitchen (for all guests) is big and well equipped. Train connection to Copenhagen is easy and fast. There are shops and restaurants in walking distance. Great art museum called Ark nearby (with a very good restaurant). Geat if you like jogging by the sea in the morning.

You have to rent towels and linen if you do not bring them with you. Bringing your own is fine if you arrive by car but may be difficult when you fly to Denmark. But it is stated in the accommodation conditions so we knew beforehand.

Perfect for our group going to a sports event. Rooms are simple, but clean. Beds are comfortable. Location outside of the hustle and bustle, easy parking. We will stay again!

Nothing, but obviously not where you'll stay if you're looking for a fancy hotel. But great for this type of accommodation!

We arrived a long time before check-in and the very friendly staff were able to check us in early (very useful to be able to check in and sleep after driving all night). The room was spacious and clean. The kids really enjoyed the playground and giant inflatable hopping mattress. The shared kitchen was also well appointed and clean.

The area around the camping is spacious, green and calm. Room was also spacious and cozy. It's great option if you wanna visit Copenhagen (it's about 30 minutes by car). There is a place to play with your kids or make a picnic/barbecue. Pets friendly. There's possibility of making laundry (additionally paid 50 DKK).

Sheets and towels were additionally paid, but it's mentioned in the description (that's a standard in most of places in Denmark). Bathroom could be cleaner.

As a family, we can highly recommend the accommodation provided at Danshostel Ishøj to all people who want to admire the natural beauty and culture of Denmark. We have been coming here for several years now and the quality of the service is not only still good, but it is increasing year by year. The breakfasts are very tasty and plentiful and are served buffet style. Parents of smaller and larger children will appreciate the football pitch, outdoor trampoline and playground for smaller i.e. younger children. There are also outdoor chess for children. For the less demanding, there are plenty of pitches at the campsite. An Indian teepee is built here every year. The campsite and Danshostel in Ishøya has the advantage that the path to the sea leads through meadows and natural lakes, where you can observe great geese, white-fronted geese, black crows, greylag crows, the path leads past the Arken Museum of Modern Art. In front of the beach there is again a playground, toilets. The beach is a nice classic sandy beach with a gradual entrance to the sea. Overall from Danshostel recommend to all: young to old, excellent place for corporate teambuilding or scientific conferences. Retired people, cyclists, surfers, kayakers or, if you prefer, swimmers can also enjoy it. The people here are always friendly and welcoming.

It was completely hassle-free and easy to check in late. The communal kitchen was perfectly equipped, clean, spacious. The grounds were well-kept with a nice playground. I'd recommend! ,

Neat room with basic facilities, easy check-in with key box, clear instructions, friendly and helpful staff, big and well equipped guest kitchen, EV charging station right in front of the hostel area.

I liked that we had our own private room with bathroom. There was so much space indoors and outdoors on the premise and activities for our son. We ordered breakfast, which was self service, there was so much choice. It was delicious. The staff were very helpful and also very friendly.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

I like location and nature around the object. Very comfortable and nice room where you can sleep, eat, take bath, watch TV and just relax.

It’s not about dislike, mostly it’s offer: we came in hot period and took some food and drinks with us, we didn’t take refrigerator with us, so it will be great if next tome some small fridge will be inside of the room.

Large room and bathroom set in spacious grounds with lots of communal spaces. Convenient location, close to supermarkets and 10 minutes' walk from railway station (60 kr one-way and about 20 mins to Copenhagen central). Well-equipped guest kitchen. WiFi worked OK (note: password is all upper case, not as written on the instructions).

Room was a long way from the guest kitchen, so not particularly convenient. We would have liked to cook a meal then eat it outside our room, but that didn't really work. Maybe request a room near the main building if you plan to use the kitchen. Was kept awake the first night by a faulty bathroom fan that didn't switch off. Finally fixed it by switching the electricity off at the mains then switching it back on again. Linen hire was quite expensive - bring your own if possible.
