Staff was extremely helpful. Specifically Jonathan. He helped us navigate a misunderstanding with our booking and made sure we didn't need to wait a long time for it to be resolved. Having two small children, we appreciated his attention to our needs. He was also helpful with recommendations for activities.

We were frustrated with the booking process. We asked for two connecting rooms via booking.com and after we booked, we were told the rooms would not be connecting. That was not ok for us as we have two children under 5. We were not allowed to cancel the reservation - even though there is clearly a glitch in the way they are advertising room options on booking.com. Fortunately, we were able to come to a compromise but this was a really frustrating process and would cause me to pause on booking here again.

A very nice variety of breakfast options. The friendly staff took orders for omelettes. Each table was beautifully set and many tables looked over the lovely beach. What a great way to begin the day. I loved the convenience of my first floor room and the clothes line to dry everything after a day of fun. I really appreciate having a pitcher of filtered water in my room as I'm a huge water drinker. The towels and linens were of high quality and I enjoyed having use of a complimentary robe. The lodging was perfectly situated and met all of my needs; easy walk everywhere. The happy hour drink and tapas were a perfect way to relax upon conclusion of an active day in the sun. The staff were warm and welcoming as well with an excellent recommendation for daily excursions too.

The people are amazing. We could use one of two nights due to health problems. They did not refund us, since it was last moment. But they gave us their best room (Vila medeterain) and let us check out late. Nice people. The ocean view is unforgettable. Comfortable huge bed. The second bed is not if the same quality

No kettle coffee tea etc. in the room or at the lobby. Shower hardly works - lack of water pressure. Breakfast mostly sweet.

It's hard not to like Casa de Marita. It's right on the beach on the far side of the small town - so it's quiet on the property but easy to walk to everything. It's one of the closest hotels to the ferry (10-min walk). The staff was extremely attentive. Our room was clean (and spacious). Breakfast in the morning was included, and pretty extensive. We had dinner there two nights - both meals we really enjoyed. They helped connect us with a local tour guide agency, so we felt confident trusting the company to book/pay for tours in advance. Bonus: we paid for the jr suite, but were upgraded to the master suite because the hotel was only half booked.

I did extensive research on hotels, and Casa de Marita is by far one of the best in the town. I will say, I think a big difference is beachfront vs inland rooms. When I looked at the reviews, those who had beachfront LOVED their experience, and those who got inland rooms without a view thought the rooms were moderately overpriced for what you get. My suggestion: get the beachfront view. The cost-benefit is worth it for those rooms.

Close to the shore at the beach…happy hour at the bar looking at the ocean and the staff were super nice.

Maybe the lack of privacy in the “small cottage” we were at . The curtains didn’t close enough for my taste.

the furnitures in the room look old and run-down, a lot of tiny ants in the room, and no table in the bedroom to put stuffs, bathroom also lack of countertop to put changing clothes or make-ups.

We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6. the staff were fantastic they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We didn't want to leave!

We enjoyed the location and the beach. Marita, the owner and staff were very pleasant and the room was lovely. We ate dinner at her restaurant that was very good.
