The location is perfect, right in between the Abu Simbel temples and the village (where restaurants and corner stores are), each 8-10 min walk away. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Very tasty! The reception staff was nice and helped us hop on the free EgyptAir shuttle last minute. They checked us in early, which was HIGHLY appreciated! This is a great hotel with good value for money for a short stay. I would stay there again!

This feedback is minor and if worked on I am sure it would elevate customer experience. The shower doesn’t have a curtain so the bathroom floods easily if you’re not careful. The room had a funky smell (not sure where it was coming from) so we used the air spray available in the hallway to cover it but it kept coming back. Wi-Fi isn’t reliable all the time. Cleaning staff knocked and proceeded to unlock the door to get into our room without our permission. Again, these were not major issues for our stay in fact I rate it 8/10. I would stay there again.

This is a lovely hotel that is within perfect walking distance both of the Abu Simbel temples complex and of the centre of the town itself. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Mohammed on reception, who helped us with trip planning and even went birdwatching with us. The restaurant was very good, and definitely seemed to be the best eating option in the area for anyone not staying in a fancy resort hotel. The in-room air conditioning, fridge and WiFi were also superb. We really liked this hotel and would certainly recommend it to other travellers.

The hotel is conveniently located a few meters from the entrance to the archaeological site. Our room was large, bright and soberly furnished. The staff members are very courteous and all speak decent English. However, the most notable aspect of this hotel is undoubtedly its distinctive atmosphere: in an architecture with evidently Nubian features is arranged an interesting collection of furniture items and vintage objects of local and European origin put together with refined elegance by the owner. From the old car parked beside the entrance to the paintings, prints, photographs, knick-knacks, wall clocks, and musical instruments, everything contributes to the Tuya hotel's singular distinction, all the more surprising in such a remote area.

Hamza at the front desk was the best, so intelligent and speedy at solving all the queries, thanks to him it was a very secure and comfortable stay in Abu Simbel! Congrats to the hotel to have found such a smart staff. All other staffs were wonderful too, Mohammed at the breakfast and dinner was so cute and attentive. The location is perfect to be the first to enjoy the infamous temple nearby and to take a sunset boat to see it from the ocean, much closer than all the other lodgings. Rooms and facilities were clean, very pretty and colourful designed in Nubian style. They have a small shop on site if you need drinks, snaks and souvenirs. It was the best decision to stay overnight at Abu Simbel and to choose this best located Tuya hotel for that! Going back to the airport the shuttle stopped right in front of the hotel and they safely kept the bags for few hours after the check out. The dinner was extremely delicious, best fish in entire Egypt. Breakfast is also nice and you can have it after doing an early temple visit. Thank you so much to the lovely Nubian staffs of Tuya hotel for a wonderful unforgettable stay and hopefully see you all again one day!

Exceptionnal - Great location, great atmosphere, great and welcoming employees - Mohamed was always available and helpful for information or booking needed. Great Wi-Fi and the restaurant is also good, always open, breakfast, lunch, diner. it's definitely worth it to take a night in this hotel which is 5min by walk of the temple, walk from it around 5:40 am before the 6:00 am opening to be there before most of the peoples is a huge advantage for the visit experience.

The Tuya Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Abu Simbel. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with cold refreshing drinks, and we were further pleased to discover that they had upgraded our room at no cost to us. The room was pleasantly decorated, spotlessly clean, and opened up to an outdoor courtyard full of blooming flowers. The hotel staff are exceptional, always ready to be of service in a friendly and welcoming manner, and the restaurant is beautifully laid out and decorated in Middle Eastern fashion. The food is superb, and the chef caters personally to a variety of diets. We loved the welcoming atmosphere of the place, and the fact that the front desk staff were always willing to assist with suggestions as to potential activities. We took their advice and arranged with them a lovely sunrise boat trip around the Abu Simbel Temple, complete with coffee. We also obtained our tickets to the Abu Simbel Temple nightly Sound and Light Show from the front desk. The temple itself is just a short stroll down the street from the Tuya Hotel, making it extremely convenient, and the nearby location allows you to beat the crowds. Be sure to take a short stroll through the town, as it is picturesque and very colourful with all the flowers blooming. Both the town and the temple are mere minutes away from the Tuya Hotel when walking. The Tuya also supplied us with an excellent driver to take us from Abu Simbel to Aswan. We highly recommend this lovely hotel and will return to it whenever we visit Abu Simbel in the future.

There was nothing we did not like about the Tuya Hotel and our stay there. We had only scheduled one night in Abu Simbel in our itinerary, otherwise, we would have been happy to stay longer at the Tuya Hotel.

The property is built in a traditional nubian style and it’s located just 10 minutes walk from Abu Simbel temple so it’s perfect if you want to visit the temple late in the afternoon and early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The room was large and comfortable, with AC and a mini fridge. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and it was really good and unexpensive. They also arranged a tourist bus for us to go back to Aswan after the visit.

Only the toilet was releasing bad smell from sewers

The hotel is located very close to the magnificent temples. It's only a 15 minute walk there. It's a 10 minute walk to the busses and minivans to go back to Aswan. My room was cosy and clean, as was the bathroom. Comfy bed. There was a smart tv in my room, which worked well and is set up for watching Netflix and YouTube. The staff were helpful and kind. So are the local people. The staff will help you arrange a ticket to the night show and/or to the sunrise at the temples. The food in the restaurant was honest, very fresh and tasty fare. This a great hotel at which to relax. Abu Simbel is a place where time slows down. It's like a different country entirely to Egypt. I really recommend spending at least one night at this lovely little hotel.

The free wifi was a bit patchy in my room but ok in the main areas.

The staff alone are amazing - the guys welcomed us with karkade (hibiscus) and were thoroughly impressed by the little arabic/nubian we spoke (we recommend learning a few words!). All of them were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Location is a quick 15 minute walk to Abu Simbel temples, perfect for those wanting to be the first when the temple opens. The hotel itself is really beautiful Nubian design with an outdoor courtyard to hang out. There's also the option to get an Egyptian breakfast in the morning (not many people ask for it) which we would recommend.
