We, a family of 5 with teenage children, have greatly enjoyed our 4 days in Cecilia Hotel. George, the owner, and all other staff were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure and highly informative talking to them. The roof terrace is great when the heat is down a bit.

One of our rooms was quite noisy since the window could not be completely shut. Breakfast is Egyptian and was not greatly liked be the kids. Pigeons are being held on the roof terrace which is associated with the expected droppings on seats and tables. This is cleaned several times per day but we found it not appropriate in this place.

Josh, after I come back I always recall your saying "a shitty place but makes people feel good". I hope everything keep going better and more, for the girls and the boys you have in this family also. Just like you do I chose a less commercial city for my next 10 years, maybe I still need to change because still I don't find out a way here. Sara, I always admit someone like you who is always like a sunlight, this, I've never told you. hope your study and next future going well, in Germany or China, but China would be more of a visit, don't work here, it's tough. we'll meet again, I feel that. This is a nice place overall. We had our own bathroom, which was a plus. The room is quite spacious, providing ample space for comfort. The beds are generally good, offering a decent sleeping experience. What stood out most was the helpful and friendly hostel staff, who were always ready to assist when needed. Despite some challenges, the accommodation met basic standards for Egypt.

Unfortunately, there were several drawbacks to our stay. The room lacked essential furniture like wardrobes, cabinets, or chests of drawers, leaving us with nowhere to store our belongings. The mattresses were slightly uncomfortable as I could feel their individual parts. We initially had only one towel for two people and had to request another. During our five-day stay, no room cleaning was offered. The breakfast area on the terrace was problematic - it was an open, windy, and cold space where pigeons roamed freely, leaving droppings on tables and chairs. Small birds attempted to eat the guests' food, which was only protected by plastic film. This unhygienic situation was particularly unpleasant and detracted significantly from the overall experience.

I recently stayed at Cecilia Hotel and had an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure all our needs were met. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a comfortable stay with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace, where singer Karim performed live, creating a lively atmosphere. Guests from all over the world, including both foreigners and Arabs, gathered to enjoy the music. The energy was contagious, and many even joined in to sing along. It was truly an unforgettable experience, blending great hospitality with fantastic entertainment.

One of the best parts of my stay was the lively atmosphere on the rooftop terrace, where guests from different countries, both Arab and foreign, came together to enjoy the energy of the place. It was a fantastic setting for making connections and creating lasting memories.

Everything! The beds were comfy and we stayed in three different rooms during all our stay and they were all clean and good sizes. ( we did all our trips and then came back to the hotel each time ). The amenities were clean and as described in pictures. Location is perfect. Breakfast was good !! Words alone cannot describe the incredible experience we had in Egypt, and it’s all thanks to the amazing staff at Cecilia Hotel. We booked a room online after checking reviews of the best hotels in Cairo, and from the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with the warmest hospitality. We asked them for recommendations on how to get around and what to do in Egypt, and they provided us with so many great options. We decided to book a tour directly with them (which is something we don’t usually do), but trust me—they truly know what they’re doing. The tour included a trip to Siwa, where we spent a few unforgettable days exploring breathtaking sights like the Salt Lake, the desert, and the dunes. We went drifting in a Jeep, danced and sang local songs, tried sandboarding on the desert waves, and experienced the incredible hospitality of the locals. Every detail was perfectly arranged by the staff. Back in Cairo, they went above and beyond, offering us a room to rest and shower at no extra cost. We then booked another tour with them to visit the Pyramids, ride camels, and explore Giza, Memphis, carpet factories, and many other fascinating places—all with a local guide who spoke multiple languages. In the evening, we cruised the Nile while enjoying dinner on a boat, and one of the hotel staff even stayed nearby to ensure everything went smoothly. He gave us our space, but of course, we invited him to join us, and we ended up having a fantastic evening together. There’s so much more I could say, but I don’t want to make this too long. What I will say is that these guys deserve a huge thank you.

"You come as a guest and leave as a friend" This explains pretty much how the atmosphere in this beautiful hotel is :) starting from the first time you are entering the reception area you feel this family atmosphere which is existing.. You are getting warm welcomed by open and friendly stuff... You always find somebody to have a tea, a coffee, some good food and for sure a lovely chat about sightseeing, the pyramids, culture differences and and heartwarming stories... Thanks so much for let me feel like being a part of your family! I am pretty sure I will come back! I really enjoyed the time a could spend in the hotel, in the cosy common area and on the relaxing terrace. I am taking lovely memories with me about all the people I met there :)
