This comfortable hotel is right on the beach; better than all the other places I have stayed at because there is a clear natural path through the coral reef right in front of the hotel (so no need for water shoes). The water is warm, calm and crystal clear, perfect for snorkelling to see the colourful fish straight off your doorstep, it’s great. The Swimming Pool is spectacular, has a large jacuzzi in one corner and a mini diving board - Perfect length for that “i think i will dive in - glide - to emerge the other side of the pool; Perfect for ordering a cold drink from Mohamed who is always helpful and many thanks to Yasser the best manger. The staff are so friendly and nice that if they notice you don’t have one of their provided fluffy towels with you they’ll be one ready for you without even asking, 5 Star service i must say. Very cool peaceful area, ideal for the chillaxer. Great sky view of the Moon, Jupiter and Orion’s Belt. The Scenery is Beautiful - desert mountains to your left (that i swear can look like a camal laying down) pretty tropical fish coral reef in front of you, peace and quite though not far from the action, shop to buy drinks, fags, caviar, rolling papers - around the corner. We liked the value for the money as it was a beachfront property. It was a lot bigger than expected and the staff was friendly. We didn;t use the pool as we ran out of time but it was nice and great views. The property was about a 20 minute walk along the water to the town which was convenient.

It was clean but we did see several cockroaches in our room which was a little unnerving as we killed a few but still was a large one we only saw once. But otherwise, it was very clean.

The hotel was clean. The amenities were fair. But when asked for more toilet paper or another sheet or towel, it was bright right away. breakfast was fair. Staff were great.

Amenities. Soap, bath gel, shampoo were all purchased by me. I expected it would be provided by hotel.

Amazing value. Lovely sea view from the balcony and quiet location north of the major thoroughfare. A small beach on the doorstep with the reef a 5 minute snorkel away. The staff were friendly and very responsive to verbal requests.

A basic but big apartment with dated, heavy furniture. The rooms could do with an upgrade and more kitchen utensils. Messages got a slow response.

In the heart of Assala, the view to the sea and the Sinai mountains you get from the property is breathtaking. At Lucky Palace you get absolute peace, while still being just a few minutes away from Assala square where you have many restaurants and shops. It is right at the beach, but also offers a pool to relax in non-salty waters. Mohamed is always around making sure you got everything you need at the glimps of a message and ensures you will feel home from minute one. Can only recommend the place.

We booked for 5 days at Lucky Palace and needed an extension due to a riding accident. The staff were very helpful and we were able to stay longer. The staff are very friendly, attentive and are always concerned if you need anything. The hotel is beautifully situated. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea is fantastic. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast is plentiful and tastes very good. We will be back as soon as possible.

We do not recommend travelling at night as the reception is not manned.

the apartment is very old, and bathroom was dirty and it has some strong smell! it needs some renovation! it might be that other apartments are nicer but ours was not! Not good value for the money

The location was perfect, right on the beach and only a short distance from stores, shops, restaurants, etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating -- we asked for late check out, which they allowed us to do with no problem. We were 3 people and the space was large enough that we could spread out and didn't feel like we were on top of each other.

Not necessarily a criticism, but if you book, you should know the kitchen had no pots and very few other items and bathroom was a bit dingy. But they had a hot pot for coffee/tea, it's summer in Dahab (very hot and sunny!) and we were on vacation, so who wants to cook anyway! The shower worked and we could rinse off, so it wasn't an issue. Anyway, not a problem for us, but just mentioned it so folks know what to expect.
