On Aleta is located right next to the beach. Most of the rooms face the ocean and have a balcony to sit out and enjoy the view. The bar on the top floor also offers lounge chairs for sunbathing and has a pool. They also rent paddle boats, beach chairs, cycles, and whatnot at a marginal rate. Covered parking is a bonus, but it is chargeable. The rooms are clean and are maintained well, and the housekeeping staff is quick to clean the rooms every day. The mini fridge has a few free drinks and is restocked throughout the stay.

The breakfast buffet was average and had room for improvement. The in-room dining menu is a set menu with limited options and offers portions that are too large for one person. The ground-floor restaurant also has a limited selection. However, every dish we tried was top-notch and cooked to perfection. No complaints whatsoever on the preparation.

I had been there two weeks ago for one nite and I was so impressed with the high standard of cleanliness and staff control that I rebooked again and stayed three nites ...honestly quirky and five star staff from the reception staff to the bar staff to the maid cleaning the rooms ....altea rooms I have to say above and beyond my expectations your hotel was and I will be back again

Small negitive is food menu in bar could be done with charging it around a bit and no a4 paper menu maybe a bit of higher standard menu (laminated menu maybe) Also wish I could of stayed longer and next time I will

Bed, view, breakfast everything great. The place is quiet, piece full, and no much tourists. Clean and nice staff.

The night buffet was no my favorite. It is far from other cities, without car it is impossible to move. Booking.com doesn’t let to cancel the reservation and that is a huge problem. Booking.com make us believe that they try to talk to the hotel but it’s not true. Be careful about that.

Location and the view is amazing m. It’s a t the quiet end of the beach (which is what we wanted) and the staff are very friendly. This is our second visit to the hotel

Whilst I accept 30th September is towards the end of the season, we were disappointed that both the roof top bar and service at the beach were both closed. It was still 29 degrees when we stayed so if you wanted a drink you either had to take the elevator down 5 floors to the restaurant to ask for a drink or if on the beach you had to cross the road and queue up. This took an element of relaxation away, particularly given the charge to use the sun beds was still levied and there were big signs saying you can’t bring any food or drink not purchased in the hotel into the premises/onto the beach. One of the nights we stayed the hotel was full so I think it was short sighted to end such services this early and it would make me think twice about staying again at certain times of the year.

The location was good but a little isolated and a long walk into Almunecar (very pleasant walk along the seafront). Buses run regularly and are very cheap. The hotel was very clean with lovely staff. The breakfast selection was incredible, with hot food cooked to order

Parking was supposed to be included but the hotel car park costs 20 euros per night. There is plenty of free parking very close by but the staff don't tell you that. The infinity pool is not a swimming pool! It has a fabulous view but the water comes up to your knees. Describing it as an infinity paddling pool would be accurate.

The location, the design, the vibe, the staff were all amazing! The bed mattress was superb, the view from our room was breathtaking! We definitely come back next year! 😍

Unfortunately the bar at the pool (on the 5th floor) wasn't opened, so every time if we wanted to drink something, we had to go down to the ground floor. There was a fragrance machine on every floor which had a very intense, mawkish smell. At breakfast there could have been more vegetables.

The staff especially, the location and the styling were fab.mattress excellent and the little touches like free drinks in Mini bar were fab. The views from our seafront room were spectacular.

The evening buffet. Sadly the food on display was cold unless there at opening of restaurant at 20.00 sharp. There were long hairs everywhere in the bathroom (I'm bald ) and the cleaning could have been sharper. The music from the bar area was a bit intrusive if you're on a lower floor. For a place of this quality a coffee machine in the bedroom would enhance the stay.

The location was great & extremely peaceful. The rooftop pool / chairs were lovely. Room was cleaned everyday no matter the time. My favourite part was the smell in the corridors, absolutely divine! Also, the food in the restaurant exceeded our expectations, 10/10, great value for money.

The rooftop bar was not open. Also, the tv in the room kept showing connect to the internet page which you could not fill in so every 10 minutes the same screen would pop up.

My second home! I fell in love from the first moment and it just kept getting better and better from there ON… And now I can’t wait to go back. Spectacular design! Breathtaking views rooftop - cute infinity pool, extremely comfortable puffs there! Clean, wonderful smell! All the staff (reception, restaurant,…) very kind and correct! Perfect breakfast buffet! Truly magnificent place! Unbeatable location! I really appreciated the possibility to stay until 15:00 for an extra charge. One night is not enough! Oh and the bicycles! Gym! Haven’t tried the paddle-board - next time! And complimentary drinks! I’m sure I forgot to mention something, great, but let’s just say that I loved everything so far, no pink glasses on. ;)

Not a big deal, just to say something. The fact that smoking is allowed on the balcony kind of bothered me. When both neighbours smoking, you in the middle, you can imagine - bye fresh sea air. I understand that smoking is a serious addiction and some can’t help it and it just has to be part of their: “I enjoyed my stay.” I also understand that you can't ban everything. So, just, smokers, I hope you’ll find help one day, and not this hotel. Sorry not sorry.

Fantastic hotel with great decor. The room we had was very spacious with a terrace that over looked the beach and came with a fridge with complimentary drinks. The room was clean and the bed was very big and comfortable. Nice bathroom with a great shower. There is a roof top pool with plenty of sun beds. All the staff were very friendly and checkin was quick and easy. The hotel is situated at the far end of the town in a quiet area, there is on street parking near to the hotel and it was about a 30 minute walk along the seafront to the centre of Almunecar. There is a bus service and the bus stop is right outside the hotel.
