The balcony space is always nice in a hotel, the shower was easily accessible (my husband is disabled and need crutches and a wheelchair) and the layout was lovely

The hill is a bugger to walk up and down and parking can be an issue, for those folks who can walk it is not a problem at all but for those who need a wheelchair or have mobility options it could present an issue. I Brough the car to my husband everyday to make transfer easy but he can stand for a little bit and walk a small amount also so we were prepared to give it a shot and for us we would revisit despite the mobility issues - at the end of the day the hotel is where it is and that isn't the fault of the owner 👍

Almost everything was great. The owners/hosts are amazingly welcoming and very helpful. Food was nice. The room was pretty, and comforable enough. The hotel is beautiful and has a wonderful patio. The only problem is the location of the hotel by a dangerous road. This means that you can hardly walk to/from town after dark without risking your life, even if it's just a five minute walk. I strongly advise to bring a reflex if you intend to do so, so you are seen by the cars approaching at high speed.

The location is brilliant for those arriving at Malaga airport and going on towards Almería and the beaches of Cabo de Gata. Just off the motorway and just above the lovely beach of La Herradura. Our room was charming, well furnished and with a great bathroom and large soft towels, comfortable bed, all very clean and well maintained. Best of all perhaps was our host señor Antonio who could not do enough for us. There’s a wonderful terrace looking out the sea – great for breakfast.

Parking is 30 m upper hill but it’s possible to park outside the front door to load and unload your car.

The place is very charming, it is a beautiful house with a really superb central traditional courtyard. Our room was big and the terrace was good for having breakfast. The staff is super nice, they made our accommodation very easy. Perfect as a romantic place.

We did not expect to need the car for going to the town and beach, but well there was always parking nearby.

Great room and view, 4 star facilities, hosts were wonderful, meals for dinner and breakfast were excellent, parking was not a problem

La Herradura was very crowded and too hard to drive into, so a short walk was required along the 340 road

It is nice authentic place with all rooms in its own style, big balconies and nice view. The inner yard is very beautiful. I like to stay in such places where you can feel the spirit of the country, and with not a lot of people at the hotel. I had problems with my room, and I was immediately offered another, even bigger room.

The road near hotel is noisy, and as I slept with opened windows it was loud. You have to go shortly along the road, but even to go two minutes along this road is annoying. Hotel is not so close to the sea, actually. There was unpleasant smell in my bathroom, not something terrible but if I stayed longer I guess it could be a problem.

The owners and staff of the hotel were just lovely- extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel was very charming with a beautiful courtyard and terrace with great views of the bay. The room was very clean, nicely furnished and comfortable.

Although the hotel is located close to the beach and promenade (in walking distance) - it is only connected to the town by a busy road without sidewalk. So either one needs to drive to the beach or walk on the side of this road for a few mins. It’s a bit unfortunate because everything else about this hotel we found wonderful.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The courtyard and the terrace overlooking the sea are brilliant features. Antonio and his staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. Nala the little Bichon Frise is a lovely friendly dog.

We could find no negatives during our stay, everything was just right.

Loved the architecture/lay out of the hotel. Room was lovely and the hotel has a nice vibe about it. Would definitely stay again. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Didn't have breakfast as I was visiting family.

Would have liked access to a fridge to keep my water cold as there is no communal area when the reception closes. But that , I hope is a constructive comment and in no way detracts from the friendly staff and how well the hotel is run!

Very special place. Small scale hotel designed by a renowned architect. Very tasteful interior and nostalgic feeling. Coastal hotels like this are hard to find in this region. Away from the crowds and good parking possibilities yet close to the sea. Staff were attentive and personal. The room looked every day very crisp with fresh linnen. Very nice breakfast and excellent dining possibilities. I strongly recommend and would certainly come back!

The sea view terraces were not available on Sunday.
