I removed one point because there was no bottle of water in the room the first day and they didn’t bring any even though we asked the reception for it…

Cleaning can be better : windows in room & rooftop terrace are not well cleaned. In the bedroom the wooden wall is full of dust. (-1,5 point) Rainshower is on saving water modus (-0,5 point)

We stayed in a club suite, which was clean and very spacious. The separate lounge and entry half bathroom meant we could organize private business meeting in room if needed. Happy hour in the foyer which is included in the price of suite meant we never paid for dinner during our stay, NOTE we are early diners and early risers. Staff are very helpful and the cleaners are next level.

The club room is very average in terms of what is available, so if really basic is all you need than it's fine pay the extra for the club suite or room, but this service alone doesn't justify the extra cost. But happy hour in the foyer was a real advantage for me on our long stay.

It was very modern. The lift system was excellent, it told you which lift to take & how long til it arrived. Parking was good but a little expensive, as not owned by the hotel.

We had 2 trips to the rooftop bar. We were seated quickly & given menus but after 25 minutes no-one came to take our order so we left. We returned a couple of hours later with friends, waited again & had to go in & ask for service. Around Midnight we went to the tapas bar in reception & the service couldn't have been more different. Very attentive & friendly staff.

Reception staff were very accommodating.

We loved everything about this hotel, our room, the location and the amenities! I highly recommend this hotel! The rooftop restaurant, Maymanta is one of the best restaurants we’ve been to.

The Rooftop bar and Peruvian restaurant is special. We ate there repeatedly for the amazing views and marvelous cuisine. The breakfasts were fantastic; plenty of options and delicious. The Hyatt has several different outside and inside eating areas; all pleasant with different menus and wonderful wait staff. The staff overall was AMAZING, Top notch. Curious about our needs. Accommodating, kind, helpful and extremely professional. The staff made us feel like royalty! Special accolades to our concierge Luis Pena and his colleagues. Michael is the smoothest, most delightful Reception manager We have ever met in all our travels. The staff across the Hotel Is Five stars plus absolutely!

The TV reception and menu is the worst we have dealt with in all our 25 years of travel as a professional couple. Other conference colleagues at less expensive hotels in the area were enjoying the Olympics and we were not able to enjoy any US channels for the first 10 days of a two week stay, even after repeated complaints to management. Finally a supervisor was able to get us one US channel even though several US stations were indicated as possible on the menu. Also the bed mattress was surprisingly uncomfortable; too stiff. These two issues should be easily remediable so we could give the Sophia Hyatt the 5 star review we would love to give it.

I had requested for an early check in due to an early flight in from Asia, thankfully that request was met. Daily breakfast from 7AM-10AM was hearty, buffet style with quality ingredients. The rooms were very clean and the bed was luxurious for a good night's sleep. The hotel was within walking distance to the congress venue at Palau de Congressos de Catalunya and the Green L3 line which was convenient for us to travel into the shopping district/tourist attractions and down to the beach. Lovely stay

The queue into the breakfast cafe had a long waiting time during peak hours including at 7AM which was a bit inconvenient especially if the meetings start at 8AM.

Seriousely everything amazing about Sofia .. Starting from the smile of that staff when you just enter the hotel and quick check in. Location just 5 mins walk to the Metro station and the area surrounded by cafes, resturants, mall and Elcorto Ingles. Rooms are spacious and so clean. A varity range of breakfast with great service makes you feels so welcome.

The hotel was very lovely, I have stayed in a lot of high end hotels before but this was honestly one of my top experiences. The room was very unique and spacious and the staff could not do enough to make our stay special. This was for my partners birthday and they brought up a lovely cake to the room on his birthday which was so lovely. As you arrive you will be greeted at the cab by a friendly staff member. They are so helpful if you need cabs, things to do, money changes anything they will assist. The overall vibe was so friendly and welcoming . As I didn’t speak Spanish they would kindly tell the driver where we are going to avoid any confusing. All the staff are very intelligent and speak many languages so it is super helpful if you don’t speak the native language. I will definitely be coming back.

I love everything only thing I thought could be improved is the transfer rate at the property. It’s not a very good rate as I receive only 10.60€ for every £10 I changed which is a very bad rate as on my card i get a much better rate. This is such a small thing and did not take away from the experience I would just advise anyone coming here to change money before hand for things like tips etc and use a travel friendly card for all other transactions
