culture off the building , food was good, location good, staff were good, drinks were a bit pricey, rooms big, with all the facilities. air con, fridge, big bed, bath/shower, TV (no English) we booked several months in advance and got a really good price,

parking,BEWARE off the gentleman who hovers about outside and pounces when you try and park, he catches you off guard, no English spoken, but makes out to help you park your vehicle and helps with your luggage , then demands money, HE IS NOT PART OFF THE HOTEL, so tell him to buggur off, Parking is very limited, there is a Hotel Garage where you can pay to park,

The position of this parador couldn't be better ...right by the bridge to walk into Cuenca. It is stunning and the building beautiful too. We had a large room for the 3 of us. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and there is also a cafe serving food in the day and evening if preferred The parking is a bit tricky but you can offload your luggage outside then park in the garage which is good but you pay daily but we found this easier albeit expensive

Our only criticism was the live music at dinner at the weekend which was a bit too loud so we ate in the courtyard instead but this is a minor point and will vary depending on the music being played.

Beautiful, historical site. Breakfast was wonderful. They prepared a take-away breakfast for me on the day of my departure because I had to catch the train before breakfast was served.

One receptionist was a little short with me. The others were wonderful. Wished they had another option for me other than stepping in and out of a deep tub to take a shower. They said that was all they had, and all rooms were identical. I didn't think to ask for a disability friendly room because I only have minor leg and balance issues. It was pretty scary. The bed was like a rock. I couldn't get comfortable and awoke with a backache.

The Parador de Cuenca is in a wonderful location, with views of the Hanging Houses and a quick walk across the bridge to the Old City. The rooms are good sized and the beds comfortable. The bathroom had everything we needed. Our safe wasn't working and the maintenance staff showed up within 15 minutes to fix it. Be sure to eat in the restaurant - food was delicious.

The only breakfast option in the hotel before 11 am is the breakfast buffet which is around 23 Euro. I didn't find much on the buffet that I cared for, the servers didn't ask us if we wanted the ala carte items or offer more coffee. We had to keep flagging them down repeatedly.

The location and the hotel itself are what it's all about here. Both are simply stunning and worth the premium. The staff at the front desk are polite and helpful at check-in. The room was as expected, very well presented for its age, and it felt authentic, despite the presence of air-con, although we didn't use it, and aluminium double glazing, nicely concealed with a timber sub-window with shutters. We also thought the mosquito screen was a nice touch. A well furnished bathroom, very clean, but it is beginning to show signs of its age and possibly due a re-fit in the near future. First class linen. Both on the bed and in the bathroom. The breakfast was exquisite. A real must if you're staying here. Well catered for all tastes and dietary requirements. Our motorcycle was parked just outside the front doors and felt secure.

We thought, for the price one pays for a stay here, that complementary bottled water in the room would be in order. Bar prices, too, are truly shocking, way above even those in central London.

This Parador is in a gorgeous setting, at the edge of a cliff overlooking Cuenca. The former monastery has been nicely renovated and our room was very large, clean and comfortable.

The breakfasts are very expensive. We found that the Seminario in the historic center of Cuenca had an excellent full breakfast at half the price. For those who have vertigo issues, this may not be the place for you because the easiest way to get to the old town is by crossing a several hundred foot chasm, on a very high and long foot bridge. When it’s windy, it can get exciting.

Loved the architecture of the old convent. Felt like going back in time. Beautiful view from our room of the Casa Colgada. Very comfortable room, and large for a standard room.Staff were lovely, especially bar and restaurant staff. Lovely meal in patio restaurant, albeit at 32 degrees! No restaurant service at night inside in summer!

Downstairs carpets could be cleaner around tables in corridors. Same tooth pick by our feet and sofa 2 days running. Also plasters round pool more than one day. Downstairs Ladies needed cleaning round lunchtime.None of these issues took away from our stay, but things to be addressed.

We loved everything! Our room #305 had just the best view and according to the reception staff previous occupants included the King & Queen of Spain. Ive provided some details about parking below.

Parking: As you approach the hotel there is an in & out drive where you may be able to stop whist registering. Alternatively, stay on main road as it continues, when level with the hotel you’ll see the hotel’s garage on the right, this is 25€ per night. There are no parking restrictions on this road, however, an unofficial parking attendant ( common in Spain ) will ask for payment to help you park and keep an eye on your car. Personally, I was happy to pay him 20€ rather than negotiate a typical Spanish garage:-) You could park and refuse to pay anything, I would advise against that. Hope this helps

Location and the building itself. The breakfast was excellent, hard to beat. Very close to the old footbridge leading across to the old town. There is a garage available if required for 25 euros per night but we decided to park the motorbike outside the main reception where there was a few places for bikes to park.

Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Additional staff at breakfast would have made for a better experience, the 3 ladies did seem to have their hands full but food was very good.

Amazing location with great views of Old Town Cuenca and the hanging houses, as well as the beautiful nature around it! Spacious room and bathroom with everything we needed like safe and fridge Very generous breakfast buffet We really enjoyed drinks and snacks in the courtyard at night to relax from the day and hikes. Our main meal is lunch and we are fine having a smaller/light dinner.

This didn't apply to us as we have a light dinner in the courtyard and ordered from the bar menu; however, the hotel restaurant opens at 20:30 for dinner
