Nice hotel, liked the balcony and the beautiful rooms. Bar area / patio was very cool place for some drinks. Restaurant also very good. Good location, staff is nice and attentive. Parking at site (16 euro per day) but staff also guided me to the best free spots. Special shout out to the young woman working at the pool! She was always making sure everyone was safe, attentive if someone needed something and in the spare time she did al kind of other tasks like cleaning the beds and tables, give water to the plants and other small tasks which was very nice to see. That will be the hotel director some day for sure!

Hotel needs some maintenance, bathrooms could have some attention and in the outside area of the restaurant there was some minor things which should have been cleaned (fountain out of order but full with leaves for example). Beds in the room where not great. It sometimes unclear where to the get the pool towels. In the afternoon at the pool, but during the day at the middle hours, you go to the reception desk. This was not clear to a lot of newcomers, us included.

The parador is stunning, ideally located in the heart of the city, with charming and authentic facilities. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is really friendly. The gardens are stunning and meticulously maintained. While we didn’t dine there, the menu appeared to be extensive and well-priced, offering a great alternative, especially compared to some of the nearby restaurants in the square, where the value for money is just average.

While maintaining the hotel's signature style, the rooms could benefit from a bit of modernization. Additionally, the pool hours could be extended during the summer, as it currently closes while it’s still daylight and days are hot.

Great location and building

The wifi was not working. When we mentioned this to the receptionist we were told that it was perhaps because of the weather (it was raining a bit) and anyway they did not know what to do about it. Next sunny day it was still not working of course. The new receptionist at least tried to do something about it but it would not get fixed during our stay. In the end we complained that this was not what we paid for and only then some small compensation was given, which we happily accepted.

Perfectly located, within 1 minute walk to the village square with its several bars and restaurants. Friendly staff, lovely grounds full of lemon and orange trees and large, clean, comfortable rooms. For breakfast there is a cooked option. For motorcycles parking is very easy and secure. The car park entrance is almost right next to the main entrance. Parking is plentiful and the doors are locked at night.

All good

Property was very historic and beautiful. The location could not be any better. The restaurant was also excellent. Be sure to get the room you paid for as our first room was not as expected. They graciously moved us to a superior room with balcony and a view. We visited in January which is low season and there were no crowds.

Everything was as expected. Some restaurants were closed due to low season.

A terrific location and a stunning building. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good indeed. Secure parking. Very close to the centre and the small square.

Tricky to find down narrow, steep roads and, on a market day you must access the hotel/parking the wrong way down a one-way street. It is signed, with an arrow, but it's a narrow street down a steep hill with a 90 degree corner and I was glad we didn't meet oncoming vehicles. It wasn't actually a problem in practice though.

A lovely Parador in the middle of rural Spain. Beautiful cool courtyards to relax in. Room had a very generous balcony with views and the swimming pool is and changing rooms and sunbeds are brand new. Eating outside at night in the grounds in the evening was a highlight.

Nothing to not like.

We stayed in one of the old rooms in the main building, which was lovely and full of character. Very attractive central courtyard with fountain, and spacious, pleasant lounge area for guests. The pool was quiet and good for swimming lengths. The restaurant meals were very good quality and a lovely experience sitting outside. (Although the usual problem in Spain of lack of choice for vegetarians).

The breakfast was very overpriced at 19 euros per person - it was good enough, but nothing exceptional about it. (We had one just as good in Segovia for just 9 euros each). Although they appeared to have plenty of parking space, we would have had to have paid extra to use it! So we street-parked for free 5 mins walk away.

Beautiful architecture, including the conversion of its original purpose to a hotel. Design top class. Bar person (female) willingly took a picture of our group and followed up with asking if the photos were acceptable.

Detail was lacking. Bathrooms whilst having high quality materials such as marble is showing it’s age in a way that looks unclean or hard to clean. Difficult way finding to the pool when trying yo access it for the first time. Bird droppings on courtyard seating. Rooms 20 and 21 safes not operable. Label on safe say no management responsibility for valuables in safe, but no management facility for safe keeping of valuables on asking the reception staff. Staff did their job but not warm and friendly. It’s as though they are there to perform a function but not to enhance a positive client experience. That was experienced at reception, breakfast room, swimming pool.

This hotel is steeped in history and is located beside the Monastery of Santa Maria. The central courtyard is the best way to unwind and relax with some lunch and a cold drink. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The pool was amazing, with sun loungers and service too.

I know this is not relevant, but it was quite a trek to our rooms from the reception, but that's not a fault or a criticism.
