El Sant Cugat has friendly and helpful staff, at the reception desk and in the bar/restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable, just as I remember it from a few years ago. I had a fine view of the monastery, as requested. The buffet breakfast has a satisfactory variety of fruit, cereal, eggs and bacon, bread/toast, croissants, cake, jam, cheese, meats etc, plus self-serve coffee and juice. The dining/lounge area is very pleasant for couples, groups or solo guests. I had some dishes from the restaurant, and was very pleased with them. I really like this hotel, the only one in the heart of Sant Cugat del Valles, just a short walk from the famous monastery, the main square and lots of pedestrians-only streets.

This hotel is a little on the expensive side, even if the standard is pleasing. The wifi performs just adequately, but it's a very open network providing little online security with its simple password.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area not far by train from Barcelona. The room was clean and comfortable. We chose the larger corner rooms which were very comfortable. I only had breakfast 1 day and there was a very nice selection considering the cost of the breakfast.

They added a charge of 150 euros, 1 day after I left without even sending me a message as to what the charge was for. After I messaged them, they stated that we took two Kimonos from the room. We did not even use the kimonos let alone take them. They eventually removed the charge after I called them, but this was rather upsetting. I have never had an such an experience in the hundreds of hotel nights during my travels. I am assuming that this was an honest mistake.

Not enough free drinking water, breakfast starts too late and was very basic with mostly cold options (chocolate biscuits?) and badly cooked eggs. Rooms are good however glass shower curtain is non movable so to place the plug into the tub one has to either stand in the bath or risk a fall to lean over to run a bath. That’s dangerous for older guests who wish to run a bath. Face washers would also be appreciated.

Nice and clean. Modern feel to deco. Good-sized room. Location is ideal for visiting relatives in Sant Cugat. Staff were friendly and very accomodating.

I would have liked to have had some coffee and milk in the rooms. Having travelled to many hotels around the world, I was a little surprised at the lack of coffee and milk in the rooms.

The hotel is almost a 20-minute walk from the train station of Sant Cugat and approx 30mins train ride to Barcelona (be sure to get Zone 1 and 2 tickets). Sant Cugat is a quiet town and staying in the hotel was a luxury. My spacious room faced the back and was quiet. The huge bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. I slept really well. The housekeeping ensured everything was clean. I also am appreciative of the hotel for receiving and keeping my luggage which I sent through Correos prior to my arrival.

I found the fragrance of the room spray upon check-in quite strong. I opened the window for some time until it wasn't so overwhelming.

A great place to stay in the edge of the city and a 30 minute train ride takes you to right to the heart of it. We had a Superior Room on the 5th floor which was very spacious and quiet. The breakfast choices were great.

We had a Superior Room but one of the coffee mugs was cracked and there were no spoons for stirring etc. Just a minor quibble but there you go!

We only used the room as we left early each morning to attend the MotoGP at Barcelona Circuit so didn't use the restaurant. The hotel was in a great location - we went into the town centre for the evening, which was a few minutes walk away.

Directions to the car park weren't very clear as there is a one way system. Only herbal tea in the room - luckily we always take some coffee sachets with us!

The staff are top class; nothing was too much trouble; excellent service.

I am not a fan of fusion cooking… My amazing Catalan paella was ruined by the addition of a very overpowering teriyaki type sauce. Please revert to the amazing Spanish cuisine I know you are renowned for. Highly recommend the veggie salad 🤤

It is a very modern hotel. Very well designed and decorated. The rooms are spacious. The WiFi is good. The lounge was comfortable and beautiful. And the best was the staff - they were all excellent.

The beds were a bit hard. The shower had a good pressure but the temperature was not stable. The breakfast was good but basic and monotonous (always the same things every day).

The room service is great and delicious. The staff are so kind and helpful! And the rooms are so clean and housekeeping so kind and good in keeping it clean! Went here for a wedding and would just come back for Sant Cugat and this hotel!
