A really comfortable family hotel, with generations of history. Super friendly staff and a really excellent restaurant, packed out by locals at lunchtime, which shows that it is good. It has both an outdoor and indoor swimming pool and a sauna. There is a good outside children’s play area. Very convenient for the ski area of Vallter 2000, which has good tobogganing, so great for families with young children.

The lounge area is a bit dated, dark and in a corner. It could do with updating.

Real problems with booking. The booking engine did not work properly and could not handle a couple, plus a Mum with two children. Called the hotel, but no-one spoke English or French, so very limited communication. Tried via email using Google translate, but got no reply. If I had not been determined, I would have ended up elsewhere.

The location is perfect for spending time in the area. We could easily walk to the village, start our walks/trekking from the village. Nearby to restaurants and small business local producers shops. Very peaceful and silent/ tranquil place. Nice garden. Perfect small size sauna, not crowded. Excellent well served at the table breakfast. Staff bery kind, attention to the detail. The cleanliness is absolutely perfect!! Can't imagine it better and I am usually very fussy about it....well done. Decorations very interesting, showcased images of the early century ski and mountain activities in the area, including a very old pair of ski equipment....amazing! I admired the owner of the hotel, despite her age was still around attending customers and attending to details. Admirable. In general staff was also kind to recommend activities in the area, I am grateful. I hope such kind of businesses can continue offering this kind of accommodation in traditional locations where modernity needs to embrace local aesthetic, history, traditions. I did not find anything of my dislike.

I highly recommend La Coma to anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty. It’s a haven for both the soul and the senses. We can’t wait to return!

One area that could use improvement, however, is the dinner service. While the setting of the dining area was lovely, the meals themselves fell short of expectations.

Staff was simply lovely. Breakfast was amazing. We went in May, had the place practically to ourselves.

It helped a great deal, to know a little bit of Spanish, because there was only one staff member who understood English, and he was only available in the morning. In a way, though this created a nice bond.

Service was fantastic and they couldn’t do any more for us. This including making us sandwiches for our walk within 2 mins of asking. They always went the extra mile. Excellent

Nice breakfast with omelette and bacon, plus all the usual things for continental breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Good coffee.

Difficult entry to bathroom as not enough room for door to open properly due to wall being in the way.

The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Lovely, helpful staff and the breakfast was fantastic.

We have stayed in one of their apartments (breakfast was not included) and it was very well equipped and new. We had access to the hotel facilities - swimming pool, restaurant, etc - and all went exceptionally well. The location is absolutely fantastic, if you like hiking, trail running, cycling or skying (in the winter) this is a destination to consider for sure! Loved it!
