Amazing location, steps from the beach, and a great view of the ocean from the hotel. Santa Monica peer was just a short walk. Lots of restaurants in the area. It’s a short bike ride or a cheap Uber to the busier Venice beach. Our room was nice and modern. Very nice bathroom and shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Keurig and pods in the room. Cable tv. Extra pillows on the bed. Beach towels included. Ample closet space to unpack our things. Bike rentals available. Front desk man was very friendly and helpful. Gave us an early check-in, as we arrived on an early flight. Held our luggage for us when we were leaving on a late flight. The area around the hotel was nice. We felt safe there. And access to the rooms and parking was gated with a swipe of the hotel room key. We felt like it was very good value compared to other nice hotels in the area. And it was in the best part of LA, the west side near the beaches.

I really can’t think of anything bad about the place. It’s not a 5 star palace, it was a very nice hotel.

Very close to beach and pier. The room was clean and had a good view of the sunset. Staff were very helpful. Also very quiet to say you are so in the busy area. Would recommend the Hotel it was excellent value.

Some outside stairs and no service for help to room. But I think they would help if you asked them. Santa Monica have a lot of homeless they need to get that sorted, you don’t fell as safe as you used too. We have been twice before.

The hotel was in a nice location there is no breakfast at this hotel, I believe we didn't get the choice rooms at face the beach because we went through booking.com they gave us an interior room toward the back with no window facing the back we were put in a corner next to the supply room where the maids work out of. The room is clean and quaint I just felt we could have got a better location knowing that those rooms were empty. I checked them every day for the four days we stayed there and the majority of them were empty facing the beach. When I asked about them they said they were none facing the beach available.

The hotel was in an excellent location it didn't have a pool or a Jacuzzi but it did have a good location to the beach. There is no continental breakfast or anything like that but they do offer coffee in the room. We decided to drive down the street, Main Street to go to the Starbucks and get coffee. If you have fair skin be careful because you can get burned at the beach very quickly as my wife did.

Would say this is a 'typical' beach hotel, across from the pacific ocean beach. No nonsense room, very clean, very comfortable bed, nice shower, and good coffee maker. Small fridge contains soft drinks, a small bottle of water and wine are offered as welcome' gesture. Really generous with checkin/checkout times, could leave luggage for several hours. Nearby are over half a dozen bus stops for Santa Monica and Metro busses, making many areas of Los Angeles accessible by bus - clean and comfortable.

While right across from the beach, location is a bit toward the periphery of the 'action' in Santa Monica (e.g. restaurants). Busses, car, bikes are helpful.

I got a free upgrade to an ocean view room when I told them that there was noise from the side building and street noise. They put me in a nice big room with a king bed, a big bathroom facing the garden, and a kitchenette and dining area facing the ocean. It was very relaxing and quiet there. Everything was clean and bright. Lots of light in the room. I could easily walk to nice cafes close by and the beach and pier. Excellent location.

The first night I was in a cheaper room that was close to Neilson Way. The room itself was fine, but it was facing the next building where there was noise from the street and from some work going on. Then they moved me to the oceanview room. The building was a bit confusing to drive to.

The room was extremely clean, chic and comfortable. Outside doesn’t look great but inside exceeded my expectations. The patio out front was great. Wish I stayed longer. Location can’t be beat. Could hear the waves from the beach.

Paid parking isn’t guaranteed on site which I was not aware of. I arrived late at night and their were no spots left. During the off season street parking was plentiful so I didn’t have an issue and parked right it front but peak season would be an issue.

We loved the location, it was excellent. The hotel was very cosy and very clean, we enjoyed our breakfast in the courtyard in the morning and a short walk to Santa Monica pier in the evening. Late checkout was a very welcomed bonus and the reception staff could not be more helpful, especially with the parking.

Our only window in our room faced a wall across the balcony, making the room very dark. Unfortunately, we could not get two rooms close to each other but it was close enough, just one floor apart, so that was not a big problem.

The location is perfect - right opposite Santa Monica beach and only a few steps from the eateries and boutiques on Main Street. The room has everything you need, including a coffee machine, and the bed is comfy. You enter the rooms via a secure gate which meant I felt safe during my stay. Important as a solo female traveller. I checked in with Chris and he was super helpful and accommodating. It was good to be able to leave my luggage after check-out and I noticed the staff locked the office if they left it, even briefly, so it felt secure.

The price is steep for the room category, but in keeping with the rates of the area and with a better location than many others. The side rooms are a bit dark in the day so I wouldn't want to work from there, however Mud/Wtr is a co-working/cafe space nearby should the need have arisen.

Loved the location right next to the beach.

A full length mirror would have been great and some utensils. Also the floor was quite squeaky - mot sure of the room downstairs were able to hear it.
