Since travelling by myself for the first time ever, and being my first time ever outside of Europe, it almost couldn't have went better. This hotel was perfect for my trip. Four major reasons. - A Walking distance to Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. - A convenience store right outside of the hotel. - Lot's of close-by stores, bars, liqour stores, restaurants (including In-N-Out Burger, McDonalds, Subway and Taco-Bell). But the best thing for my trip was 100% the bus-stop right beside the hotel. Everyday i took the bus (BBB 18) to the Downtown Santa Monica station. Hopped on the Metro train it took me everywhere i wanted to go (Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood, Downtown, Studio City, Griffith Observatory etc). Back to the hotel, it was a very good experience too. Very comfortable king-size bed, bathroom with shower/bath, Fridge, TV. Everything it Said it should be. Great cleaning and room service. Easy to check in & out. Priceworthy.

Sometimes it could get really loud thanks to traffic, but it usually got better during night-time. Personell were really nice, but i didn't recieve very much information about the hotel. But i found everything out on my own so it's no big deal.

The Pool was small and didn’t look too attractive to try out.

The location, the price, the cleanest of the rooms, and mostly the staff were very friendly.

I only have two suggestions, one that they change the knobs on the bathroom doors as they are very difficult to maneuver with wet hands and are not ADA accessible for handicapped people. The second suggestion that I have is that they provide additional parking other than just under the hotel as the parking spots are very narrow, and my car was actually hit by another car underneath while I was staying there with significant damage. There are double parking spots and if you park in front, then you get blocked in if you park behind someone you block them in so maybe additional parking Somewhere around the hotel would be helpful for their patrons. Other than that, have a great stay!

Very large room (#238), very hot shower, great location at end of Abbot Kinney Road and walkable to stores there, parking under building included, friendly desk staff (John and Luke), daily room cleaning, it felt secure. Would recommend a room facing courtyard for privacy. Hair blower broke and they replaced it immediately. Had working refrigerator. AC worked very well but it was in the low 60s outside so not fully tested.

Our room had some nighttime street traffic noise but not bad, could hear other rooms running shower or toilet flush but not all the time, TV is small (but we used iPad on our lap), hotel and rooms are a little run down but suitable for price point. WiFi not very strong and not secure — they offered a password but it wasn’t needed. The restaurant was not in service.

Nice big room, clean, comfy bed, plenty of towels. Fridge, coffee maker, iron. Staff very helpful and friendly. Free car parking You can walk to the beach where there are lots of cafes and restaurants takes about 30mins or you can drive $6 to park. Beaches very clean. Area felt safe. Nice path along to Santa Monica, we hired bikes for the day and there is a cycle path all the way. Good coffee and danish pastries at The Cow Shed. Lots of bars on the front, good for watching the sunset. We got the 'Big Bus' open top from Santa Monica which meets another bus and then you can go into Los Angeles, one ticket covers both buses aprox £85 for two people.

All the food and drinks very expensive.

I loved that the room was super clean. Check in/out was fast.

The person at the front desk was rude.. and looked as if we were asking him to let us stay there for FREE. Parking lot, TERRIBLE. They tried to send us to park in an alley.. obviously i didnt. Thankfully we bumped into the owner in the parking lot and he let us park in a good space in their parking lot, super nice and understanding.

The room was spacious and clean, and the AC was wonderful. There was a curtain to black out the light. I was able to check in earlier at no additional cost, so the hotel was very accommodating. It is close to Venice beach (I walked for about 40 minutes to get there in time to watch a beautiful sunset), and I felt very safe walking around the area. The hotel also had a door before reaching the rooms that required a key-card to access, making it safer.

The toilet wasn't caulked properly and shifted when you sat on it. It worked perfectly, it was clean, and there was no leakage/unpleasant sights or smells of any kind, but it was not placed properly. The shower curtain was flimsy and the exhaust from the bathroom kept blowing it into the tub, making it unpleasant.

The location is perfect for exploring the Venice Beach area. Even tough the hotel is not new, it is really tidy. The receptionist at the front desk was also polite and helpful. Also free parking was included!

Well, a breakfast would have been nice, but this was no surprise. There was a fridge and a possibility to make coffee in the room, so we managed all right.

I like the quiet atmosphere. I was able to practice my cello in mid-day and there were no complaints. I like that the windows open. I like the feeling of privacy. I go to the beach every morning and it is a short drive and parking spaces are usually available seaside.

There is no guest laundry facilities nor is there a rest room in the lobby. I didn't even ask about the pool, because cheap hotels have cold water.
