Staff was fantastic! Upon check in, they were able to switch us from the 3rd floor to 1st floor so we could easily move our bikes in and out of the rooms. We were also moved to a quieter area, and they did not charge us for the upgraded rooms. Navigating the property was a little tricky at first but not too bad. I love that breakfast was included and they had LOTS of great options to eat. The showers were fantastic with great water pressure and temperatures. I would definitely consider staying here again!

The only issue we had was our hotel door did not shut automatically. We had to pull it shut every time. I was also bummed we had to pay a $10 parking fee per day (we stayed 3 days) but the parking lot itself was very convenient.

Extremely close to Santa Monica Pier. They had plenty of breakfast options. The room’s beds were as advertised, queen size. You needed a key to enter the elevator, and then again to enter the area where the rooms are, which made us feel secure. Free on site parking. The room was clean. Towels were neatly folded in the bathroom. bathroom has been recently renovated. Shampoo and Conditioner in the shower were nice. not those tiny travel size bottles that always smell badly. Free Wi-Fi. Pool was open.

Some of the reviews alluding to “paper thin walls” have merit. We could hear every time surrounding toilets flushed. They did have a roll away bed, which was appreciated. Online it said there was a sofa bed, which there is, it is just locked to prevent use. The sofa bed was thin enough there’s a very clear indention from where/how it folds up. It made trying to sleep on it rather uncomfortable even for our youngest child. Our children, ages 10,14 and 15, ended up sleeping 3 to a queen bed. If we had known prior this would be the case we would have opted for a different place to stay. We try to book our hotels based on comfort as we are traveling for several weeks with 5+ hours drive every other day.

Staff was excellent especially the housekeepers actually they were more attentive and friendlier than the front desk staff. The front desk staff acted like they were just paid to be nice it did not come off natural which I felt being a supervisor myself of one of the largest hospitals myself it rubbed the wrong way but we loved comfort inn and will go again

Just the front desk staff needs more training or learn to be more attentive they couldn’t be bothered with little things and my family and I felt it

good contact from the Hotel via text before warning us about car parking rates. Lovely man at the front desk who automatically upgraded us based on the size of our family to a larger room. We unfortunately lost a piece of jewellery at the hotel and decided not being found they had been very responsive to contact the housekeeping, and keep in touch. Well located. We’re just Hope for Paul heating to improve the experience and slightly better quality breakfast. like the banana and plain waffle making.

The location, of course you need car to go anywhere in LA, but it was 20 min driving from almost everywhere. Breakfast was simple but good, there were plenty of quantity of what they had, the parking lot it’s big and it’s in a good and secure neighborhood. The room had a little fridge and a microwave to heat whatever you want as well as a two big and confy beds and a table to sit and eat whatever you want.

The space for breakfast was not big enough for all the people who are staying in the hotel, so you had to be there quite early to get a table.

Our flights were at 9pm and we made the plan from the start of the trip to spend the last day at Hollywood BLVD and when checking out they would not store our bags. This really buggered up our last day. They ended up letting me check out at 1pm but all this did was give us 2 hours at Hollywood BLVD instead of 5 hours like we planned. As a result we then had to head to the airport at 1pm for a 9pm flight. We were not going to the airport until 5pm. This is the first ever hotel that had no where to store bags.

We keep coming back because this hotel is so clean, close to the beach but not too close that it's annoying lol...this is on Santa Monica Blvd yes but its basically in a nice residential neighborhood and we really like it. Covered parking in the garage too..

Really I can't complain at all, thats why this is our hotel for all LA area trips

The Santa Monica comfort inn is very easy to find, the room is nice and large, comes with a tv, a fridge and a microwave and a little table. It was very quiet, even though it's close to the road. The parking is just behind and there is plenty of space available. If you don't have a car, the bus to Santa Monica or Downtown LA runs quite frequently and is a few minutes walk from the hotel. This bus also goes quite close to Hollywood Blvd. If you don't mind walking further the metro station is maybe 15-20 min walk? Shower was decent, so no complaints. Breakfast is served in the morning and you may need to look for it a little bit but is easy to find. It is quite simple though, so I usually brought some bagels, bread and peanut butter. Coffee, tea, juice, milk is all there; toaster, bread, cereal and a waffle iron also. Ice machine near the lift/stairs. Wifi worked fine but sometimes apple has some issues logging in, this is an apple thing :) Staff was very friendly and helpful. No weird smells from AC or noisy, but I sleep without AC. If you want you can open the window too. Drive to LAX was 20 minutes in the late morning.

Overall the hotel needs some refurbishing, the carpet in the room looked a bit gross and not something I would want to walk on with bare feet, so I just kept my flipflops on. Might just be that I prefer wooden floors that are easy to keep clean. Price might be a bit high for what it was in total, but I still would keep this as an option in the future.

The inn was clean, and the service staff were pleasant and easy to work with, especially Michael, who received us very warmly and responded promptly and efficiently to all our requests. I asked for a late checkout from one of the rooms, and they left no stone upturned to ensure I got what I needed. Breakfast was very delicious with a decent variety of pastries, cereals, and fruits. I highly recommend this inn. My children loved it!

The location is perfect. Very close to Santa Monica boulevard. We walked to the pier, but the bus is also convenient so you save your energy to walk on the boulevard. We were doubting if it would be save around the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was and have not seen strange or homeless people. Mc Donalds around the corner is very handy for the first night of arrival. After that we usually took some very good dinner from the supermarket nearby. Breakfast can be rated by some people as poor. But I think that for the price paid and the location it is ok. Especially if you compare what you pay for breakfast in a restaurant. But there are on walking distance enough places to get some more healthy breakfast. For us it was really ok. You could eat eggs, there was fresh fruit, water and if you liked you could make freshly baked waffles yourself. Not healthy but very nice with some coffee in the morning :-). There was enough space outside to eat. We also had one swim one morning in the pool, but in April it was still a bit cold. However after a while it was ok. We had a big family room with two bedrooms and one bathroom near the parking lot. Very quiet and spacious. Concerning cleaning. You have to be pro active on that yourself. They do not come automatically, but if you hand in the note at the reception that you want anything of every thing done, you have a clean room at the end of the day. But as said, you must take action yourself on that. Don't understand why they still use covid as a reason for not cleaning?

The outside place to eat breakfast is some kind of patio where a lot of rooms are. If people have turned on their airco you are eating with a lot of noise and warm wind. Not very pleasant.
