Staff has always been very pleasant and always responsive to needs. For instance, staff responded right away with a mop when we reported water standing on the bathroom floor. We didn't have any other needs on this trip.

There seems to be a problem with water leaking from the shower cubicle onto the main bathroom floor. We are an 83-yr old and a younger person with a bad knee problem, so of course we both wanted to avoid any chance of slipping/falling from water on the tiles. It seems like the water could have been coming from under the floor tile space, as we did not see enough quantity of standing water from the shower stall floor to account for the quantity that appeared on the non-shower floor. I'm sure the problem is connected to the shower stall though (no showers = no water on floor outside shower). We just turned the shower head to send the water down the wall instead of straight down on the bather, and there was very little seepage (but still some).

The room was very comfortable and the location was just high enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of Suva.

Seeing as reception was manned 24hrs and our room was the first room, it could get rather noisy throughout the night or early in the morning with the team talking to one another or telling each other off which also happened a couple of mornings.

Having read a number of reviews and checking star levels on Trip Advisor, having heard from other persons, some who had stayed some time ago and others whom only 'presumed' the quality of stay, we looked at Booking.com which provided higher scores. We decided to try this hotel and were very surprised with the friendliness of both staff and management. In fact we were 'impressed' with both. Nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff. The rooms were cleaned and all linen, towels etc replaced every day. The shower and bathroom areas were in a better state than some of the much more Fijian hotels that we have previously stayed at. The Superior room we stayed in for 4 nights was double the size usually supplied at most other hotels. Oh, and heaps of GPO outlets.

For known business travellers, the inclusion of a reasonable sized desk and chair, with a lamp over the working area prior to arrival would have topped the stay off. There was, however, no hesitation in providing such after our request.

The frontline staff and the lady Manager are friendly and helpful especially the day shift staff. The room we stayed in was neat and tidy with a nice balcony facing the swimming pool. The beds were nice and comfortable. Room service was done daily and whatever we needed was provided in the room. Nice and quiet area with beautiful views of the harbour and sunset. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn, Tanoa hotel & Bidesi Apartment. This is my first time here and it’s quite nice.

No taxis available every night when asked the night staff to call for one. I would suggest they be more helpful and stand outside and try stopping taxis for the guests. Otherwise all good.

This was my first time staying at Capricorn Hotel Suva, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Right from the get-go, the location blew me away — right in the heart of Suva with everything so close by, from shops and cafes to local sights and business centres. The room was spacious, spotless, and super comfy, with fresh linens and air conditioning that made relaxing easy after a long day. One of the standout features was the amazing view from the upper floors. The pool was fantastic — crystal clear and perfect for cooling off and unwinding after a busy day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making me feel genuinely welcome and looked after throughout. Their warm Fijian hospitality really made a difference. Although there’s no restaurant on-site, the hotel is surrounded by great dining options — from casual spots to more upmarket cafes, you’re never far from a delicious meal or a good coffee. The hotel is impeccably clean and has a modern, welcoming vibe that’s ideal whether you’re here for business or just to explore Suva. Overall, my first stay at Capricorn Hotel Suva was excellent, and I’m already planning to return. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Fiji’s capital!

The two bedroom apartment we booked was very clean, accessible, spacious and nicely renovated! The room fit my group of 4 very well , and as requested for an easily accessible room for the elderly I was travelling with , we were assigned a ground floor room with a lovely view of Suva harbour!

Maybe more bathmats for toilet and shower. And an iron for the room, as we had to request the iron from reception, and drop back to reception after use. Maybe for future planning of hotel , include an elevator for higher floors and a gym, as I had to seek alternative training options at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

This hotel is special with wonderful big rooms and full kitchen facilities. Ashmin and her great team including lotte, lo, and the sweet housekeeping staff make u feel welcome and valued! Beautiful gardens maintained lovingly by sai with a pool make u feel tropical vibe in the city. 24 hr great security team where all the staff are willing to help you with any requests.Views of the sea and port are tranquil. 5 mins walk up a hill from main city hub to enjoy an oasis atmosphere! Arguably the best bed in fiji. 2nd time stay definitely my go to hotel in Suva!

The bathroom/toilet facilities were generously spacious. Everything inside the Room was new, which was absolute value for money. Great location close to town. Definitely a value-for-money Accommodation option and I would come again without a second thought!

Housekeeping/Room Service (when I requested it) for my long-term stay seemed to just tidy and re-use the same USED linen/beddings when I was expecting new beddings like the new towles/bath mats etc they gave me during Room Service. Maybe I had to ask/specify/request for it; not sure. When I finally asked they obliged so I guess you have to ask for it. But no biggie at all, you just have to request new linens is all I guess.

Everything was great and easy to get to. Room I had was clean although the side of the bed was broken but I still slept well. Beautiful view from my balcony, the staff were all nice and very welcoming.

Broken bed and the bath towels looked very old and used a lot. They could really use new towels, kettle was rusty In the inside so I decided not to use it. I think $220FJD a night was too overpriced for this accommodation esp with no breakfast included

The Capricorn Hotel was great. I got to the hotel at 8pm and it had well lit lights at the front with security and friendly staff. It’s 200m walk to TappooCity which is one of the main shopping centres so everything is nice and close. The room was spacious and very clean. The hot water worked great and so did the air-con. I would highly recommend the Capricorn to anyone. Especially paying that little bit extra for the top floor. The views are nice and it’s nice and peaceful.

The only thing that I think could have made this stay better was if the staff were a bit more talkative. They don’t really interact with you other than saying Bula(some didn’t even do that). And if they did breakfast here that would made it a top Hotel in Suva for sure.
