Our serene warm comfortable room contrasted with a mesmerising view of the wildly tumbling Arctic river, Juutuanjoki - such infectious enthusiasm!! We came in May and would love to come back at another time just to see what it gets upto in other seasons! Easy walking distance of the excellent Siida museum and the village and the trail upto the rapids upstream.

Dinner was great but breakfast felt rather corporate. It would’ve been good to have a simpler eating offer (eg: bar meals) for the second night. But we had beautiful sunshine (all night!) so ended up taking a K-mart picnic off to the Pielpajärvi church trail for the evening.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff extremely kind and the tours really good organised. We came with our 1 year old daughter and had a few requests and the staff made everything possible. They answered every email right away and made sure we had a lovely stay. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and we were lucky and saw the amazing aurora lights every night! One night they were so strong, that we could even see them from our bedroom. We had a sauna in our room and it was easy to use. We can recommend the hotel to everyone who wants an authentic (and very delicious) trip to Lapland.

The bed kept slipping apart and the rooms were pretty small.

The room was a lot larger than I expected and very comfortable. Also the room was quiet, even though one night there was a loud party going on pretty much next door in the same building (which I only noticed when I was actually outside the building). The breakfast buffet was also good with a large selection.

I would really have liked more light in the bathroom. Also they were apparently still doing the final touches on the building I was in, since some handymen knocked on my door one day and then walked in. A small thing: they really need more wafflemakers at breakfast. Everyone ends up hanging around the one that's there but on the other hand, people queueing end up talking to each other :D

Great Service attitude, well appointed rooms and very nice dining experience. Overall ambience was really great with the scenic views. Staff were friendly and menu offerings are quite intriguing.

There were rough patches here and there for the hotel like shower design not making sense, issues with hot/cold water flow, giving me two bottles of hand soap instead of shampoo/conditioner, etc. Service while friendly wasn't always on point. I would be less critical if the cost were less.

I'd come again hundred times! We loved the restaurant (a little expensive and they should make bigger portions, but it was super) where we had dinner once. Breakfast was the best ever! So many choices and a very high-quality level. Our room was nice, bathroom was not that big, especially shower, but had all the necessery. Very well-located. The position was great, and we could spot aurora on the river just behind the hotel. Staff was very kind and helpful. Bed was super comfortable.

As already said, if I have to find something not totally positive, I'd say restaurant prices and shower dimensions. You could see a little bit from the outside when you are in your room.

Wilderness Hotel Juutua is close to the centre of Inari, but still having a ‘nature’ feeling, located nicely along a river, just next to the Sami parliament and close to the Siida museum. The restaurant is amazing, including great breakfast. We also booked a snowmobile excursion; everything organised well and we had a great time. The hotel facilities are pretty outdated and the rooms are small; its waiting for an update.

Loved every aspect of our stay here. A kind of quiet, understated sense of beauty, peace, elegance pervades everything: from the kind, professional engagement of the entire staff to the Michelin level cuisine, to the presence of the natural world. A slice of something rare and precious.

Almost everything -location, staff, facilities & food.

If i have to point out anything at all - it will be the food quantity at dinner - would be nice if the portions are a bit bigger. For example at 43 eur for the raindeer maincouse, I would expect a bigger portion to fill the stomach. Ofcourse taste was delicious- no complaint on that at all.

Very helpful service when we had to book a room last minute due to a small car issue, staff even looked for a screwdriver for us. Breakfast buffet was on par for lapland.

Room as a bit small and bathroom outdated and under the bed was an old shot glass from some prevoius guest, so hence the deduction. All in all a good place.

The restaurant is of course among the best in Finland, definitely among the best in Northern Finland. Rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable with excellent views of the river. Tasty breakfast too. No complaints.

The new look is a bit clinical compared to the old one, but it's not bad. Still highly recommended.
