I absolutely loved this hotel. It had Everything you could ask for. Plus a huge Grocery store right across the street so convenient. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Oh yes and in room sauna is wonderful. Book all your tours through this hotel it was so easy meeting each tour right from our hotel. We did Ice Fishing, Dog Sledding, Crab Safari, Snow Mobile all from our hotel. Ice fishing tour was awesome. Even for someone who never fished before. I caught 3. And the guide was so kind and informative. He gets a 10 for this tour from me and my husband.

I hate to say this but, I didn’t care for the breakfast. Bacon was soggy and no salmon.

As we were a group of 4 friends, we had taken an apartment and the experience was simply extraordinary. We had a very spacious apartment with all the amenities and facilities listed in the listing. The highlight was the sauna and the fireplace in the apartment which were the highlights of our stay. The staff was also friendly and there were many activities provided by the hotel which we booked at the last minute and the prices were super competitive. They were very punctual and friendly and had an amazing experience staying at Kultahippu

Everything was really smooth and have no complaints whatsoever

The staff was so wonderful and really helped us craft the perfect agenda. They organized airport pickup and dropoff, super easy, and helped us with a tour, taxis, and buses. We knew we wanted to go aurora hunting, but couldn't find a good tour/date. Tommi picked us up from the airport and told us that was our best night to hunt--he found us our first aurora and we were so lucky! Highly recommend the hotel aurora tour with Tommi. The breakfast is tasty and the grocery store across the street is convenient for everything else. It was our honeymoon weekend trip and Kultahippu made it very special!

The sauna timings are a bit tricky.

We were picked up at the airport on time by Tommy, super friendly, he helped us with our rental gear. He also gave us a tip as to where to go for a nice walk. We liked our room, very modern,clean and comfortable. Front desk help (Sonja?) was great. The waiter at dinner was fabulous (as was our meal) and the morning waitress at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is across the street from a supermarket should you need anything (including clothing). Overall a great value.

We liked everything.

This hotel is exceptionally clean and well-designed. Breakfasts were very good as well. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant and had exceptional meals. I especially liked their sweet potato soup. The two ladies who staffed the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the toilet and the lady on duty immediately fixed it herself. The other lady helped us with our taxi and questions about getting to Inari, the next town with the Sami museum, and advised us about the nightclub. This was a wonderful way to end our excellent trip to Finland!

My room was located in the annex building called “the Bank”. The room was a bit small but very comfortable and well decorated. ( but I do recommend to book the deluxe rooms facing the river for a better experience ) The room temperature was perfect and it was very cold outside (average of -20 c) . I had dinner in the restaurant . The food was good but a bit overpriced. Breakfast was included and was very good. Choice of savoury and sweet. The hotel staff are amazing and always pleased to help. I did 3 excursions organized by the hotel. Altai ski, ice fishing and the aurora tour.. all of them were an amazing experience. The tour guides Tommy and Matilda are fantastic.. they will do everything to make the tour the most enjoyable possible! Matilda took us to an amazing spot to watch the aurora!!! This was fantastic. I really recommend to book the tours with the hotel.

The hours for the sauna. ( men 6.30pm-8pm) Will be nice to have the option to use it during the day too

Rooms were clean and spacious with lots of storage, and were super clean. Bathrooms were wonderful. Proximity to everything was fantastic. WiFi was phenomenal. Staff were very friendly. It is right across the road from a MASSIVE supermarket where you can purchase food, alcohol, toiletries, and even some clothing. It was also very close to a pharmacy and probably one of the best and biggest souvenir shops I have ever seen, selling all manner of Lapland and Finland items. The hotel also has a restaurant offering a buffet for around €16. The a' la carte is a bit more expensive. Rather eat a big lunch at the buffet, and get a salad, sub or sandwich for dinner from the supermarket. There are also other restaurants nearby. The hotel can also arrange all manner of tours for you.

The Sauna is only open for a short period, which was disappointing. Also, the breakfast was not great. I arrived with an hour left on a Saturday, and a lot of items had not been replenished. Pastries only arrived again later. I couldn't find yoghurt anywhere for the muesli. I would have scored this place a 10 if the breakfast was better and the sauna was more available.

The hotel's facilities are functioning well, and the staff are generally friendly and kind, except for an older lady at the front desk who wears glasses. Whenever I asked her questions, her response was often "I don't know," especially when I reported issues with the hotel's internet. If you don't know, should the guest be expected to contact the engineering department themselves? This is a highly unprofessional attitude.

Absolutely amazing hotel, everything was highly satisfying and exceptional. The apartment is clean, spacious and modern, features a very well equipped kitchen, a private sauna, a great sized bathroom, a nicely furnished living room with a dining area and a separate bedroom. We liked that here are enough place for your stuff as there are spacious wardrobes in the apartment, so you could feel yourself totally at home, as you don't need to dress up from your luggage. Heat was perfect, we never felt cold. Bed is very comfy and has a great size. The area is quiet, calm and yet centered, easy to reach anything by walk. Last, but not least the staff was very nice and friendly all the time, they helped us whenever we had a question and never had to wait even for a minute at the reception to get someone who could help us. We liked that there are photos on the wall, which shows you how this building served the society in the past. I have stayed at most of the worldwide known hotel chains and this hotel has definitely overperformed many of the big names. Would love to come back and I wish we could stay here for weeks or even for months as well. :)

There is nothing to complain about, everything was exceptional and super.

Spacious and renovated apartment, great sauna

The bulk of satisfaction came from the fact that apartment is renovated. It would be great to have bath robes (not only a towel) given that there is sauna, and a kitchen towel. In general, this kind of little things were missing so it felt like maintenance of the apartment is overlooked. But as long as it is clean and in near mint condition, it is not a big problem.
