The location of the property is beautiful and on Lake Inari, which is a stunning backdrop when sitting at the restaurant. The buffet breakfast provide a good range of choices. A pleasant stay , but be prepared to pay for your time there.
Be warned this place requests extra euros for everything. The check-in time is at 3pm, you have to pay 50 euros for an early check in. A request 20 minutes before check in and was told that the room wasn’t ready, which was quite disappointing that you had to wait to 3pm sharp. To use the on premise sauna it’s 10 euros, it’s not complimentary with your room rate. The activities are ridiculously expensive for what you get (an absolute tourist trap). For example, 190 euros to go to the reindeer farm to simply pat and feed the reindeers. The bathroom has a smelly odour that comes out of it. The beds are two single beds put together which create a gap when sleeping if you roll in the middle.

Great experience. The hotel looks smaller than the photos. You can buy a package or do your own. I stayed 4 nights, it was cloudy most of the time but managed to see the auroras 1 night and it was worth it. I recommend the aurora camp, husky safary, cross country skiing(if you are a skiier it might bored you and you can rent just the skiies instead) and snowmobile trips. The staff was really nice and helpeful, and the tour guides too (especially Maria). I stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms: Wilderness room: it's the cheapest room but very comfortable. Nice as an hotel room. It has a mini fridge, a tv (you can cast your phone with Netflix/prime...) and great WIFI connection. You can hear your neighbours BUT the guests aren't party people type so at night you will hear total silence. Close to the reception and road but didn't hear the cars. Aurora Cabin room: No window for fresh air(the only way to get fresh air is opening the door);great sky view(if not cloudy.the view of the auroras during the night were amazing); twin beds put together!; no mini fridge; no tv; no WIFI (not even in the closest one to the reception 501 ,so you won't get the aurora whatsapp alert). Ivalo airport to/from Wilderness Inari hotel transport: I used shuttle bus Ilmari Slant Ky. The hotel can book a private car for 3 people for 120€(on the review people complained that it wasn't a taxi but a shared van though). IF you are traveling solo/couple, Ilmari Slant Ky shared shuttle bus i found is the best/cheapest option that will take you directly to Wilderness Hotel Inari: (30€ adults,15€ kids). You can pay online or directly to the driver (ONLY CARD,no cash as it says on the web) BUT book your seat online so they wait for you. Don't look for the company name on the people waiting at the door,go out the main door and you will see the white van with name logo parked.

So location is top notch for Inari. Attached to the lake which gives you fantastic opportunity to see the northern lights. The cabin we had was nice and cozy, modernly decorated. The bed was great, we could eventually see the Aurora from our bedroom window (north west/west). Parking is free, enough space around the hotel.
The toilet smelled really bad, it must have been the drainage. The personnel felt a bit rushed when we checked in, we had to pull our luggage through the snow, they said there was some sled to make it easier but could t find it.

Nice warm room with very comfortable beds. Lots of activities on offer but we didn't do any of those. Buffet food was ok but not great for vegetarians.
Activities are expensive. We asked about a bus transfer to the airport and were told that there wasn't a bus, but that we could take a shuttle for 110eur for the 2 of us. We then asked at the tourist information centre in town and they told us about a bus which took us from the hotel directly to the airport for only 60eur. The hotel is basically a mass tourism money making machine.

Best location in Inari lake to see Northern Light. Good buffet Breakfast/dinner. Amazing sauna with lake view.
I don't suggest to do "Aurora hunting by car" as activity ( 3 hours outdoor, very cold and no aurora to see) . You can admire Aurora easily outside the hotel between 5 and 8 p.m. It would be great a free shuttle 2/3 times a day to visit Inari (40 minutes walking).

Fabulous location on Lake Inari, we were able to see the northern lights without leaving the room, snowmobiles on the premises for exploring the lake and a variety of excursions to go on. The staff both in the hotel and the guides on the excursions were all really friendly and informative we had a great time. The cabins are warm and snug, it's great to have a personal sauna!
Cocktails weren't very good for the price. The buffet and a la carte was good quality but got a bit monotonous - the emphasis is on locally sourced foods, so lots of reindeer and local fish (e.g. arctic char). There's quite a lot of lighting in the resort at night so it's best to go out for dark skies.

Such a brilliant location and log cabin - couldn’t fault it and exactly as we had hoped. Super comfortable and great food - veggie choices excellent and everyone loved the chance to try local foods and specialities. We did most of our activities independently through our own research and this was far, far better value for money. Did a couple of activities with hotel guides who were super friendly and passionate but activities feel rushed and not in depth. Reception staff are friendly and lovely but there aren’t enough of them so service is very very slow. Would come back tomorrow - a very special stay !

We booked two nights in two different rooms in Inari. The location is stunning, right next to a lake, which you can walk on. Its sooo beautiful at night In the first day, we had the arctic chalet, which was really awesome. We had a smaller issue, which the personnel on the front desk solved quickly. The chalet was big, we had 2 rooms without a bath and toilet. The bed was medium soft but really nice, right next to the bedroom was the sauna, which we used twice. Small problem was that the room got a little bit hot because of the sauna 🙈. The sink in the bathroom was small, so we had not enough space for our things. The main room with the fireplace was cozy. Sadly, it was no real fireplace but rather an electrical one. The second day we had the aurora cabin, its like one big room and a bath and toilet. I also booked the kuskas and a birthday special :) everything was nice there. Sadly, the view for us was cloudy, so there was no aurora for us. But nevertheless, the view at night to the lake is awesome We liked the auroa cabin the most and would definitely recommend it.

Wilderness Inari feedback - Location to watched the northern light, right at our door step and the experience of staying in an igloo. However igloo has no kitchen area, so bath, quite small but love the heated floors. They common hall is big and they service buffet and have lots of sofa to get out of the small igloo space. It was alright for 1 night, The northern light tour with Yoonas was amazing, you should look out for him and he said education stories to share and that night, we share the dancing northern lights called coronas. Wilderness Juutua feedback -We heard about the great customer service at their sister branch Wilderness Juutas and this we booked directly with the hotel for the reminder days. Milia was omg an angel, she emphasized with our situation, helped us on an early bus ride back to Rovaniemi where she called the bus to meet us at the hotel, so we dont have to drag our luggage to the bus stop. They packed an breakfast takeaway for us, as we would be missing breakfast. The food was wayyyyyyyyyy amazing in Juutua, it was by courses but the attention of details in the food was better than the buffet in Inari. I mean we perfer quality versus quantity when it comes to dining. I wish they can bring the staff of Juutua to Inari Wilderness, that would be the perfect fit.
Wilderness Inari feedback - Honestly it is a long journey from rovaniemi to inariand we had a horrible flight, broken luggage and the reception on feb 18th was just a blah. She was not inviting at all and was not accommodating to share this is what we have for you, just to cheer us up. This place aint cheap! The dining servers were better at customer service.
