The property is quite big and situated directly at the lake. There is a reception that is open until 9pm officially, however, I believe the owners live there, so I guess there is always someone there. I'd booked the standard twin room by mistake. However, due to a cancellation, the nice host lady (who also speaks German) gave us one of the 6 Chalets for the second night. Twin room: Cozy but on the small side. Has a fridge and a small table, the two beds, other than that not much space there. The bathroom was small, maybe even too cramped for larger people. Chalet: Wood everywhere, a sauna, a fireplace, very spacious. Unlike the Twin room, you don't require a key but receive a code for the door instead. You can rent some snow shoes at the reception to walk on the lake, which we unfortunatly haven't done. There are some dark areas on the premise, which was good for aurora spotting.
The property is over half an hour by car away from Saariselkä. Having stayed in Saariselkä direktly a night after I have to say that not having to drive there everytime is much more convenient. On the other hand you pay considerably less.

Comfortable room. Beautiful big window looking out to the snow. Friendly host who greeted me on arrival and worker who shared some food and even took me into town out of the kindness of himself as it had recently snowed a lot. Beautiful lake a short walk and a cosy kitchen which is basic but has everything you need. For some people to be mindful, the location is out of town. The bus stop is only a 1.4km walk away but if you want to be in the heart of town, this location isn’t for you. For me it was seen as a positive to be out of town and in nature.

Friendly helpful staff. Simple checkin process. A clean and tidy site in a lovely quiet location. Great facilities like the shared kitchen where we found everything we needed. Also fridge and microwave in the rooms. Everything was comfortable and well thought out and provided for.
No fault of the site bet lots of mosquitos in the room and it was very hot. A mosquito net on the window so you can have it open without the problem would be a simple cheap and great addition 👍🏼

This location was about 15 min from the town of Ivalo (you need a car to get here). It was a beautiful and quiet location on Lake Inari with lake access. We enjoyed snow shoeing on the frozen lake! Our chalet had 2 bedrooms (two single beds in each room), 1 bathroom (heated floors) that had a sauna attached, a kitchen (coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle), dining table, living room area with a smart tv and access to streaming services (you need to use your own login), and fireplace (wood provided).
This was a great place however there is no washer/dryer in the property but there is a communal one near reception.

This location on the lake was perfect and felt secluded from the town of Ivalo but was not too far away- make sure you have a car. We could book a time to use the sauna (30 euros) as long as we told them when we wanted it ready so there was enough time for it to warm up. We were also able to borrow snowshoes for free. There was a communal kitchen that we were able to use and we had a kettle, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. The beds were very comfortable and it was a small, cozy place to be for a few days.
The bathroom in our room was tiny and the tiles did not look clean. It felt a little worn and old and needs an update.

This place became our regular place to stay during our travels. This time we stayed almost a week and it was the best stay. The cabin has everything you need, it feels like a home. We were also very lucky with a beautiful aurora. The owners are very friendly, they take care of the place nicely. Can't wait to see it in the summer. Thank you very much, and we will be back again :)

Very nice cabin, beautifull sorroundings and everything you need for an overnight stay. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was warm inside. Sauna is also good to get warm. It was clean inside. For the price a very good option, we liked it a lot, and would like to come back again.
Despite reading that the receptionist is grumpy, i think it depends on your personality. Everybody is different, and there are also grumpy people on the planet. But if you show respect, understanding and kindness, the other people are also kindy to you.

Easy-to-use indoor sauna. Comfortable and warm beds. Kitchen is well equipped with some basic and less-basic (coffee machine, toaster…) kitchenware. The village is a bit isolated, which is very nice since everything is so calm. You hear only the wind rustling the leaves on the trees.
The village is a bit isolated, so you can basically reach it by car or taxi only.

The location and accommodation is perfect and relaxing. The cabin was clean and the views across the lake from the many windows were exceptional. Had the Northern Lights been active, we could have seen them easily from the living room. It is located an easy distance from both Ivalo and Inari for dining options. Parking was directly beside the cabin. SmartTV and WiFi worked great.
It would be helpful to include sauna directions in the cabin.

Perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature. A snowy paradise between woods at the shore of a lake under northern lights. Big warm chalet with clean and cozy rooms and sauna. Very friendly and helpful reception :)
