Serenity and close to nature.Amazing and attentive staff from the reception desk to the restaurant and to the kitchen area.The delectable restaurant spread with lots of choices.The outdoor activities was great. Ice fishing with Justin and Zali was the best and one of the highlights our stay.They were a tandem of professionalism with excellent work ethics,They also put safety first as the priority. And of course our experience with nightly spectacular and dazzling show of the Aurora Borialis which is just visible within our Aurora Cabin…PRICELESS

I recently stayed at Wilderness Hotel Muotka & Igloos and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Room: My room was an absolute dream. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had every modern comfort you could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail was evident in everything. Facilities: The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. I enjoyed the all the activities immensely except for the Husky sled ride. I had breakfast and dinner at the buffet, and the selection was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and varied. Location: The location of the hotel was also perfect. It offered a peaceful retreat away from the bustle. Whether I was walking around or taking a short ride to nearby attractions, everything was within easy reach. Service: What really stood out was the service. The staff was attentive, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay as enjoyable as possible. They anticipated my needs without being intrusive, and I always felt well taken care of. The concierge helped me book fantastic activities, and I was impressed by their local knowledge and suggestions.

The ladies at the arrival desk were not very friendly. Other staff members from the head chef, Carlos and activity guides were totally amazing. Claudia was kind, warm and extremely helpful. The Husky sled ride was not enjoyable. it was snowing and windy. The guide didn't offer goggles nor make mention of them. The snow was hitting hard onto my face making it hard to see. The dogs were running quite fast and catching up with the sled in front of me. It was hard to see and slow them down. The guide yelled at me which I didn't appreciate.

The location is amazing, there are more properties up north you can go to but you’ll be able to see the lights from here too. The food was amazing every evening - soft and tender meats and tasty sauces. The women at the bar and restaurant were the loveliest staff!

For some it may be an issue, for us it wasn’t as we were covered by our UK data, but there wasn’t any WiFi outside of the main building. No issues from us really - they did forget to clean our room but we messaged and someone came in minutes to do so.

We liked the stay at this resort. It was priced a bit on the higher side but the excellent breakfast and dinner which was a part of the inclusive half board compensated for the price. The hotel staff were really helpful and welcoming. We didnt have a kettle in the room and was provided by the staff at an instant request. It is a wilderness resort and so its completely calm place to stay. They also provide all kinds of winter sport activities but we didnt book anything here as ours was a short stay. A special mention for the awesome food spread , especially the reindeer curry.

Wilderness is too much wilderness :D , getting to this place to/from Ivalo airport is easy(1-2 buses each day, specific timing) but its really difficult if one wants to catch a bus to Rovaniemi like we did. Taxis are available to get to the nearest bus stop but of course its pricey.

A beautiful location. The view of the forest from the huge window in the log cabin was stunning. The woodfire made our stay there particularly cosy, atmospheric and comfortable. Since there is very little to do there in the evenings, no tv and it is quite far from town, it would be nice if the log cabins came with some boardgames. There are some basic games available at reception but the selection could be improved. The shower is nice and hot and the sauna in the log cabins is a nice touch. The staff onsite are very friendly and there is a good selection of good quality food available daily at the buffet breakfast and dinner. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a stunning location.

The property is in a great, wilderness location. Perfect spring-board for nature-focused walks and tours, you really feel like you're in a winter wonder-land. The room was huge, albeit lacked some amenities. We saw wild Reindeer multiple times in and around the property which was quite magical. The staff were very friendly, the food was great, and there was adequate parking.

Despite the room being very large, there was no microwave and limited wardrobe size which are things that there was plenty of room to provide. These amenities weren't advertised for our room-type, but given how spacious the room was it was surprising they haven't added a few extras like a microwave/kitchenette which would make the more basic rooms perfect.

we booked the igloo stay which came with a private sauna. The room also had wine and chocolate awaiting for us. We reached early and they were happy to accommodate us with an early check in. We dined in their dining hall and loved the food. Staff ensured our drinks were made just the way we like it. We also booked a cross country ski and the they were very patient with us cause we knew nothing about it and kept fall. We also booked a northern lights tour and though we din't spot the northern light on that day our guide ensured we were entertained through out.

Location is amazing. I was lucky to see northern lights right above the hotel. Food was actually very good l, they offer several options.

Seemed a bit overpriced 110 EUR for the airport transfer - it was shared but they should charge per person. I paid 35 EUR when I first arrived. Would have loved to control the room temperature but was overall okay. Also toiletries were a bit simple/scarce.

The igloo had very limited storage, so once your outerwear was hanging up, it took over a large proportion of the storage identified.

Very nice and comfortable room with a great view. Breakfast was also good. Great location with direct access to the nature.

A little remote location, which I would keep in mind if travelling without a car. When travelling with a car, location was very nice as it was a little away from Saariselkä centre.
