We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a good experience. The hotel is clean and cozy.

There were a few issues that affected our stay. When we checked in, the receptionist didn’t inform us about the breakfast hours, even though breakfast was included in our stay. The next morning, we came down with our kids around 9:00 AM only to be told that breakfast was already over. We ended up leaving hungry and had to look for a café nearby. Luckily, there was a McDonald’s close by, as most other restaurants in the area opened only after 11 AM. Also, the sink in our bathroom was clogged, which made using it quite inconvenient. These issues were disappointing, especially when travelling with children. A simple explanation at check-in and a quick maintenance check would have made a big difference. Hopefully, the hotel can improve communication and room upkeep in the future.

The breakfast was great and the cook was wonderful, a great person and enjoyable to talk too. The front desk and cleaning staff were exemplary in their work and very caring about my needs. I thought I had left something in the room and they immediately went up and looked after I called and also left me a message later in the day to see how I made out when they couldn’t find Yet which a fortunately found at work I would definitely stay here again

I would have preferred there be a fitness centre on site, but definitely not a dealbreaker due to the professionalism and courtesy of the staff.

I thought it was a good find for the cost. There was breakfast included which was nice. They had a waffle maker to make your own waffles. The rooms were pretty decent and so were the bathrooms. The tubs are stained from being used. But overall was clean. I didn’t like that our room had carpet, the other room we booked, didn’t and it gives you the illusion it’s more modern and clean. Staff was super friendly. I would come back, if for nothing else, for the great staff!

The location is great with lots of nearby restaurants. The hotel serves a good breakfast and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There is also an outside green area in the back of the hotel, and they allow pets! This is why I keep going back there!

The rooms are a bit old, although clean! The heating system in some rooms is a bit old and harder to figure out.

Conveniently located, clean and quiet for sleeping. The pillows were amazing. :) The shower was clean and worked well.A small hot breakfast was very good with fruit, cereal and hot choices as well.

The bed that I had could have been more comfortable. It didn’t keep me awake or anything but most beds are now standard comfy, not just serviceable. A friend who stayed in opposite wing said hers was more comfortable so maybe they just haven’t replaced these yet.

Breakfast was excellent value - I appreciated that there was real cooked food (ie, eggs, sausage, waffles) rather than just cold cereals. Breakfast dining area was overcrowded, but I suspect that is because hotel was booked solid with people there to view the eclipse, and wouldn't be a regular occurrence. We were able to take food to our room and eat there.

Cleaning staff left their items in the hall for extended time such as bagged garbage that needed to go out.

The location is really good, close to many restaurants. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is good and they offer a 24/7 coffee, juice and water bar. There is even a small park in the back, which especially good for people travelling with their dogs!

Some of the rooms are starting to show their age; especially in the bathrooms. The heating / colling systems have not been updated in all the rooms.

We drove from Ottawa for a funeral at 1PM. The normal check in time is 3>PM . and we had to change clothes for the funeral. We asked if we could use the main floor washsroom to change, but to our suprise the hotel accomodated us and our room was ready at noon. Wonderful.Very courteous and accomodating staff.

The breakfast had a variety of choices. It was fresh and the eggs, sausages and home fries were hot and tasty. The lady in charge was pleasant and helpful. It was only her second day at work but she was very efficient and wet out of her way to make us feel comfortable

I liked the convenience driving up to a sliding door that enters my room. I loved the big tv and big bath tub. I loved the back area designated for smoking and walking the dog. Lovely wooded area that was quiet and spacious.

The AC was ice cold in my room which typically I love but it was either full blast or off, and the room was very clean but also smelled to much like cleaner for me.
