We stayed at La Maison Gustave for a couple of days — and it was an absolute delight! A cozy boutique hotel full of charm and attention to detail. The location is perfect: right in the city center, close to the Cathedral and the beautiful Canal de la Robine. The room was clean, stylishly decorated, with vintage furniture and modern amenities. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed — it made for a great night’s sleep! The atmosphere felt like home: warm, quiet, and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. They were always ready to help with local tips or recommend a good place to eat. If you're looking for a place with character and soul, La Maison Gustave is absolutely worth your attention. We'd love to come back again!

the place is unusual and absolutely lovely with a view straight onto the old cathedral garden... it´s an unusual setting in that there is only one room per floor, so quiet in terms of not having any neighbours. Lovely room, nicely - and unusually - decorated and very clean and tidy. There´s a fridge in the room where some of the things for breakfast are already stored; you get fresh baguette and croissants in the morning.

everything was special and nice. However, as you will be told, there´s no lift , so you might have to walk up to three flights of stairs, which is not a problem unless you are carrying heavy luggage.

We loved the location and convenience of this property for our one night stay. The host was very welcoming and the sights are all in easy walking distance. The room had everything we needed and we especially appreciated the breakfast already prepared in our fridge so that we could take it at our leisure in the room. Fresh bread and croissants delivered in the morning to accompany the chilled items was lovely. We would definitely stay again and recommend this as a great stopover in a lovely city.

Everything was great. Nothing at all to dislike.

Fresh baguette and croissants, locally made cheeses, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea for breakfast. We felt very spoiled. Bonus - view out our window to the Cathedral. Many great restaurants nearby, along with Information Centre, just 1/2 a block away.

Not much room for tall people in the toilet. Keep the door ajar. We knew we had stairs to climb. We thought we were on the 2nd floor but we had 2 flights of stairs to climb = 3rd floor. There are 4 floors. No rooms on ground level.

We liked everything about our stay at this property. We are travelling very light so the stairs were not a problem for us. The breakfast is lovely and our bread was so fresh it was still warm. The position of the room is so close to everything making exploring this beautiful town so easy and is only a 10 minute walk from the train station. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Comfortable stay in a great location at the heart of an interesting historic city. Hosts were very helpful in accommodating a late arrival, (but that meant we saw no staff at all during our stay).

Decoration, furnishings and breakfast were all adequate but unfortunately did not match the write-up given to them.

I agree with the earlier reviewer -- what's **not** to like. The location is wonderful, looking into the adjacent cathedral garden area, on a quiet street just steps from a wide array of dining choices. The hotel itself is a tad quirky, but in a charming way -- narrow, steep stairs, to be sure, but quite large rooms with good mattresses, a new and very well appointed bathroom (terrific shower!), breakfast entirely at your leisure, with fresh bread and croissants in the morning and everything else in your room fridge the night before. We actually only saw hotel staff once, a bit coincidentally when we dropped off luggage for our earlier arrival; after that, all communications were via text/app, but it was really perfectly fine, and we had everything we needed. And the concert from the church bells across the street was the cherry on top. A really charming, unique and comfortable stay in all regards.

The room and bathroom were fantastic and the location was perfect

There was no blind on the bathroom velux window so we had to shut the bathroom door. Also the stairs were narrow and steep but we were aware of that before we booked

The location was excellent. The host very friendly and we received fresh bread every morning. The facility was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

It's very quirky, and u do have to go up flights of narrow stairs for entry into your room. It was clean and spacious. The lady that showed us in was lovely but doesn't speak English, so Google translate a must. Breakfast you take in your room and lovely fresh bread, croissants delivered to the lobby in the morning between 7-8. U are next to the narbonne Cathedral, which is stunning and everything is close by.
