The location is relatively close to namba, and it has good public transport connections without it being super busy. The area has more of an authentic feel. Coffee and toasts are provided for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Checking in tired and yet having to make out own bed; bedding has to be taken off before checking out. Rooms are small (4 people max in each) but it feels like you’re sharing with everyone as noise isolation is non existent between rooms and common areas. Showers are not in the same floor as the rooms.

We had a really good time! We rented some bikes at the hostel and cycled around Osaka which was lovely! The hostel was amazing, all the facilities were clean, and there’s a rooftop you can access and relax at! Loved the stay ☺️🌸💖

This hostel is amazing! The location is great, you can walk to most of the tourist spots or take the metro, which is less than a 10-minute walk away. Everything is super clean, and the hostel itself is really beautiful, with plenty of showers and toilets. And lots of mirrors!! But what I loved the most about this hostel was the staff and the walls full of information! The staff are incredibly helpful — whether it’s finding places nearby or figuring out what to do. Every day, there was a board with nice informations: restaurant recommendations, local summer festivals, and even some Japanese phrases for you to learn. So incredible!

I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Mitsuwaya Hostel in Osaka. The location is quite convenient for me, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were consistently polite and friendly, contributing to a welcoming environment throughout my stay. The hostel facilities were well-maintained, with clean bathrooms and all the essentials provided for a smooth experience. The common areas offered a relaxing space to unwind, and the overall atmosphere was outstanding—especially thanks to the interactions with fellow guests, which added a sense of community to the experience. Overall, Mitsuwaya Hostel provided a solid and enjoyable stay. I would recommend it to travelers looking for a clean, sociable, and conveniently located accommodation in Osaka

Short stay, I should have stayed longer

This was my favourite place we stayed in Japan. It’s so clean. The atmosphere is really calm & relaxing. The common area is a lovely place to chill. The beds were comfortable, so handy to have a washing machine & dryer there too. It’s really good location. Coffee & tea available all day & toast for breakfast was lovely. They had this dryers to dry wet trainers too! Highly recommend.

Hard to fault it but the stairs up to the bunk beds were tricky to manage. Just be careful.

beautiful, modern building with nice atmosphere, very chill and friendly vibe, well equipped kitchen, everything was clean; there’s a box for each bed that you can use to store your belongings, doesn’t fit a suitcase but worked just fine for valuables and other stuff – not equipped with a lock though so better bring your own

the mattress was very thin, didn’t sleep too well as it was really hard

Was very close to Dotonbori and had excellent metro transport links!! The shower pressure was very good, and there was a lot of space plus extra storage inside the bed area, which was a nice change compared to other hostels I've been in that have been quite cramped. Felt very safe and the atmosphere was really nice, the staff were lovely and accommodating when I wanted to check out early, and there is free breakfast with coffee, toast, and a selection of jams. Also their shampoo smells divine. Was really happy with everything and felt safe leaving my things in the room, which is locked with a key code!

The mattress was so thin, I could feel the wooden frame beneath. Not really an issue for me, but just be aware that the thin mattress is no joke - it is REALLY thin!

The hostel is well-located with subway stations at 5 minutes by foot. We could even walk to the main attractions (30 minutes). But still, it was located in a nice and quiet area where we had the chance to go to a local matsuri. The hostel was extra clean. I have never saw a hostel that clean. I have seen staff members literally sweeping the floor with tissues. Unexpected we had a breakfast there. It was actually quite nice. The bread used was the fluffy loathes instead of the thin loathes. We had a variety of jam to choose from and even butter. The bed was comfortable and wide. A large locker was provided, just what I needed. The staff was nice. They gave us advise to go to different matsuri.

It’s only 10-15mins walking to Dotonbori and Kuromon Ichiba Market, lots of convenience store nearby, 10mins walking distance to the nearest metro station and some ramen restaurants. Easy to find. Staffs are very friendly, accommodating, and they speak clear English. Facilities are good. They have flat and curly iron ready (which I always need). Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner ready in the shower. They have some activities at night for the guests, like games or cooking sessions. I’ll definitely stay here again next time!

Other guests that are noisy (it’s not hotel fault, though they have policy that no noise after 11pm) but some guests are so inconsiderate.

Very cozy and comfortable hotel, price are very reasonable and worth it. Is very quiet place at night (in area of some temples, Local resident and school area), nearby have a drug store (Sugi Drug) which can tax free and very less tourists, many local Japanese, can enjoy slowly shopping there (just selections might not sufficient like Shinsaibashi drug store). 15min walk can reach Osaka Uehommachi which can catch the earliest Express Limo Bus to Kansai Airport. And receptionist do speak English and have good guidance where you can travel, very helpful staff (Coco are Cute and Cheerful)

If you carry 2-3 roller luggage, this might not suitable for you (No extra space for more then 2 roller luggage each person). Take like 10min walk to closers + staircase Tanimachi 9 Chome Station. Walk to Dotonbori like 15-18min (At night you might highly chances need to cross by a street full of Host Club before you reach Dotonbori. If you don't mind been disturbing by asking a lot funny questions, I suggest you take another route or take train go). Opposite is a primary school, morning will be a bit noisy (I don't mind). Prepare buy Japan strong deodorant spray, because might be useful for you and others, especially on long day long journey walk, your sock and shoes will be appreciated to have it.
