After reading so many reviews and making a shortlist of different all-inclusives, we decided to go with this one (the cheapest on our list) but then pay for the Royal upgrade. We loved the VIP feeling of Royal, with access to bar with better liquor, VIP pool and beach booths, VIP check in with welcome drink, and VIP restaurant. Breakfast main buffet and Mexican restaurant lunch buffet were excellent. The international restaurants were nice but most dishes not really authentic, for example VIP steak was weird, Italian pastas a little different than they should be, etc. Manage expectations. Pool is great, beach is nice, and the grounds are lovely. Loved the body board rentals, tennis, and gym. In June (low season), I would say 70% of guests were locals and it was not hard to get pool chairs. Staff was great and there was no pressure for excursions or time shares – they weren't even mentioned.

The performances (mostly 9 PM) were too late for our kids so we didn't catch any of them. The kids center looked like nothing special and was empty most of the time so we never used it (note, we were there in June low season). Music and activities/announcements at the pool were kind of loud – honestly would prefer just silence or quieter music. Wish the bars had cocktail lists – we'd see so many bottles but had to Google for ideas of drinks to order, and had to learn how to ask for no/less sugar because they add a ton if you don't. Also wished they had more beers than just Corona and Modelo. Local craft beers or international beers would be welcome. There was no option for Royal + balcony room on Booking – no idea why but would have paid more for it.

A nice getaway for the price. My group upgraded yet staff did not highlight all the perks. The resort was large enough and had plenty of chairs to layout and use.

My group upgraded to the Royal level, yet the perks were not highlighted since introductions or location of the concierge was not provided. No refunds or discount for the short comings of our stay. I would've appreciated a discount after paying over $400 for the upgrade. I wouldn't upgrade in the future, instead I would use the money to eat elsewhere or venture out. I also would've preferred queen beds in the room verses the full bed. Two larger adults do not fit on the adequately. Also had loud neighbors that made early mornings difficult to sleep in.

Wonderful experience, friendly staff. Beautiful beachfront. Very family friendly, but worth the Royal level upgrade to access all areas.

Evening reservations were hard to book decent times as the main restaurants were limited capacity and could not accommodate groups larger than 6 at one table. All restaurants did their best to accommodate at the time once we arrived, but it would be nice if the concierge would have informed us of this as we booked.

We had a balcony room which was very comfortable and clean. The food was very good and varied; everything was well prepared and the service everywhere was excellent. The lounge and bar service was really excellent. They kept a high energy and spirit of positivity around the pool with music and zumba. The hotel is located on the best part of the beach. The sand is fine and soft with no rocks.

We didn't really enjoy the evening entertainment but there were many people who did attend. The music around the pool was sometimes loud and annoying. There isn't much around the area to do, so it's better set up for people who want to relax and stay around the hotel.

Shower head was broken. Water was shut off for a few hours one day, unacceptable. Especially after we asked the front desk once, then they didn’t do anything. Had to go ask again and the lady at the desk was very helpful getting someone to fix the problem (they had turned the water off by accident while working on a nearby room). Don’t get your hopes up at all for the restaurants.

The location and beach. It is a well maintained property that offers good amenities and a nice assortment of food. The pool and entertainment staff were wonderful, the bar and drinks satisfying. Your staff are wonderful, never saw a grumpy person.

One of the main restaurants is encased by glass windows and is extremely noisy as a result. Remove the windows or make them so they slide open. Also show a little more flexibility to guests at checkout. Allow them to have a light lunch before their departure as most flights don’t leave until late afternoon.

The room was very comfortable, and the balcony view was terrific. The bathroom and shower were modern and spacious. We really enjoyed hanging by the pool with great service and entertainment staff. The Ala Carte restaurants were good. Buffet lunch at the Mexican was always very good, especially the soups!

The breakfast and dinner main buffet meals were only adequate at best and the buffet seating was uncomfortable in some seatings. There was always a good enough variety though.

Wonderful layout, lots of great food options with very friendly staff, tons of fun activities with great live music, drinks were fantastic and service was very prompt

Some restaurants require a dress code which is totally understandable but was never communicated when we made the reservation. Wish there was a hot tub for non royal members. Had some issues with our AC but it was promptly taken care of by staff. Wish the pool staff could serve guests when they’re on the lounge chairs by the beach

This was my second stay and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you for the wonderful sweets and champagne! We had a great time. I like the hotel's buffet, which has a wide variety of food and lots of fruit.

It would have been nice if there were more amenities in the bathroom.

loved the natural shade of the palm trees. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good. we will be back. Bed was comfortable.
