Beautiful property in a lovely village location. Our room was spacious and the bed so comfortable. We were travelling to Wales from the South of France and it was a great relaxing location for both my husband and I and our three dogs. Our hosts were very accommodating in letting the dogs enjoy the back garden, which was fenced and therefore safe to let them run free. Our hosts cooked us a very nice evening meal, very welcomed after a long drive.

Chateau de Moulin le Comte is a lovely 19th century manor house hotel. It is full of character and our bedroom was massive with lovely traditional furnishings but with a great modern bathroom, again ,massive. It is located in a peaceful part of France that people usually drive past either to or from the ports. We would happily stay in this peaceful picturesque part of France for longer and definitely stay at this hotel. The owners are friendly,attentive and efficient. We had dinner the hotel, set menu which was lovely and incredibly good value.

Our host spoke perfect English with no French accent although he was born in the area.He was charming and his wife was the chef and the food was excellent.I would highly recommend a visit. The only downside was the location as it was in the middle of the town overlooked by housing, but there was a lovely garden at the rear.

Gracious hosts into their home, the building is stunning, and the meals were exceptional. A fitting end to a week long trip for me and my son. The rooms were large and very comfortable, and we were made to feel welcome and at home here.

The only thing that I would say is yes, there is a bit of dust as per some of the other reviews, but it is an old chateau with period pieces all over the house and rooms so would be a more than full time position to keep everything dust free. Go to a hotel chain for that and respect the history.

A lovely property that is family run by a husband and wife team. A super old building with large rooms and good decor.

No problem of the Chateau but Booking.com did not tell us that check in was not possible until after 1600.

Wet clean, beautiful gardens. Excellent evening meal. Superb location from Channel Tunnel. Fabulous staff.

The new owners have recently taken over - a few small improvements could be made. We suggest good decaf coffee rather than sachets. Proper cups and glasses in room - not paper cups. This is being picky, it certainly didn’t make our stay any less comfortable.

Beautiful property with a real sense of grandeur, with very high ceilings and a huge room. Our room overlooked the large garden to the rear, which was lovely. Location is very quiet, which was nice to escape the day to day noise and the local bar, just 50m away was superb. The hosts (new owners) were very attentive and helpful.

Thomas and Alienor were very welcoming we stayed 2 nights due to car trouble Thomas was brilliant and helped with the language and communicating with the garage we really would of been stuck without their help they both work so hard and have only owned the chateau since june 2023 also the property is pet friendly

Great welcome both hosts are fluent English/French speakers, amazing building, huge room, super bed. Beautifully decorated. Great dinner option , good wine. Had a nice glass of wine in the garden on our arrival. The hosts served aperitifs before dinner with friendly engaging conversation. An interesting couple with a great story.

The hosting was exceptional - extremely attentive and very welcoming. The Chateau is lovely and the decor eccentric but attractive. Beautiful garden and lovely patio. Good breakfast served in an elegant dining room. In house bar which was great. Excellent value for money.
