This is my second stay at this hotel & it's such a great find. I stayed on a work trip & it was 10 mins from where I needed to be & is only a 40 minute drive from Calais. It's super comfortable, really nicely decorated, the staff are super-friendly & very pleasant & as a solo, female traveller, I find it a very safe, comfortable place to stay. I feel very at ease there. The beds are comfy, parking is convenient (€12 per night in secure car park at the back of the hotel) & breakfast is delightful. Dinner is served in the restaurant from 7pm.

The only thing that could be slightly improved for me is the shower - it could be a little more powerful.

I was surprised how good it was,better than Mercure Rouen which I had stayed at the week before.The room was spacious,had a kettle with tea/coffee making facility,a fridge,big bathroom & separate toilet.The car park was good with with a locked gate.The food was very good,again better than in Rouen.

The location isn't good,not a good part of town & quite a long walk into the town centre on dodgy roads littered with dog poo.I didn't fancy trying the walk at night.The bed sheets were too small for the bed so came untucked.I was lying on the bare mattress-not a great thought.

Excellent location for an overnight stay before going to Le Shuttle. A very comfortable 40 minute drive to Le Shuttle. the Toll Road was only a few Euros 😀😀 Breakfast was excellent!! 5* Room was very nice, and beds very comfortable There is a fantastic pizza place (and other food) next to the hotel. Great, very reasonably priced food. A very large Carrefour supermarket about a 5 - 10 minute drive away Great location, and very friendly helpful staff I’d stay there again!!

The staff on reception are outstanding, so helpful, great relationship with guests. A welcome at a Hotel sets the first impression and the reception staff could not have made the check in smoother and were helpful with every question. The Hotel is about 500m from the main bars and restaurants. However the bar at the Hotel is pleasant and again staff helpful. Breakfast is amazing. I can't find enough words to praise it. Rooms spotless.

No milk for tea in the bedroom. That's it just the milk.

Great location on quiet edge of town. Very good bathroom shower, separate toilet. Great storage, shelves, hanging room, mini fridge, kettle. Small desk, comfortable bed. All good. Didn’t have a meal there, just coffee which was excellent. Friendly staff and a storage room for the bikes.

A few hooks needed, especially on the back of the bathroom door and in the room for jackets, coats etc., and a hand towel rail. The fans didn’t work in the bathroom or toilet and so there is a lot of condensation but with the room air conditioning this subsides.

This hotel met all our needs when travelling by car (parking available). The restaurant in the hotel is good and the facility is very clean and tidy. As a Mercure hotel, the rooms are of a good standard.

Be prepared if travelling by car: The twisty, complicated streets of Saint Omer absolutely require a SatNav or navigation app to find the place, or at least a navigator who is a competent map reader.

Food and staff great. Bedrooms inside were comfortable and clean

We emailed beforehand as we had been travelling all day and wanted a quiet room. The hotel emailed us back saying not a problem. We were given room 225 which unfortunately was next to the outside bin and storage area of the restaurant. It was too noisy due to staff emptying into bins etc. I did pass this to the receptionist.

The members of staff on the morning we were leaving were genuinely friendly. I was a bit worried from the so-so experience of checking in the night before, and then having to wait to place a room service order while the receptionist had a long chat with a coworker. All that aside, the room was grand and had a little terrace, was decorated to a high standard, and in a good location. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and had a wide range of options to choose from. During our dining experience, the servers were attentive and friendly; nothing seemed to run out and if an item was running low, it was quickly replaced with a fresh item. The front desk staff in the morning were very kind and patient with my French as I'm learning, and they went above and beyond to assist with requests.

Duvets on the beds in the summer with plastic bed liners. Thank goodness the hotel has air conditioning, but that combination on the bed is uncomfortable.

Wonderful hotel exceptionally clean. Bed extra comfortable and staff so kind and helpful. I can't raote breakfast as we did not stay as we left early for the ferry but I can imagine it would have been lovely. We wish we had had an evening meal here as choice in town is limited and we didnt enjoy the meal in town so we're envious of the guests eating when we returned! Fab parking too...gates and secure.

Hotel centrally located but easy to find. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and their English was much better than my French. Rooms were modern, clean and well decorated. There was a huge range of hot and cold food for the breakfast buffet The hotel restaurant was open every day (unlike most of the restaurants in St Omer which close on a Monday). Choice of food on the menu was very good. A midday checkout meant we could have a leisurely start to our journey home.

Charging extra for the car-park seems a little penny-pinching.
