The location to visit the battlefields of WW1 was excellent. The room was simply, practically and sufficiently furnished, cool for the hot days of summer, adequate for our purposes i.e. being out for a large part of the day. The bathroom facilities and toiletries were good. The room was clean. Breakfast was good, with fresh pastried, healthy options and an adequated warm breakfast of eggs and bacon. The terrace and the restaurant provided good evening meals and an opportunity to have drinks after a long day of touring. Parking was free and very convenient.

Fantastic position. Very easy to find. Food very good. Lovely bar/eating area. Great outdoor terrace space. Excellent ‘jumping off’ position for touring around. More umbrellas would have helped in sun. I would be more than happy to stay again.

Travelling with daughter and dog. Booked 1room with dbl and single. Dbl great but single too much like a camp bed for comfort (great for a child though). Should have booked 2 single beds. Bathroom facilities were excellent but the high step in was tricky for me as I need to use a crutch. Next time I stay, I’ll be more specific about my individual needs.

Friendly and easy checkin. We had two rooms including one for wheelchair access, which was on the first floor near the lift. Both rooms clean and tidy. We ate in the bar/restaurant on the Sunday evening as many of the restaurants in town were closed, food was very good quality. Pool table and electronic darts available, as well as English football on the tv. 25 min walk into town. Would definitely recommend a stay here whilst visiting The Somme. Plenty of free parking.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great with lots of choice including fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts & seeds, eggs, bacon, cereals along with pastries, breads, meats and cheeses. Parking is free with plenty of room on site. The evening meals are average but very convenient after a full day's site seeing. The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the sites and cemeteries of the Somme and situated on the edge of the town of Albert, about 2kms from the centre. Albert is a lovely town with some interesting sites, especially the tunnels at the Somme 1916 Museum. For a three star hotel, the Ibis Albert is definitely a great place to stay.

There were no facilities for tea and coffee in the rooms. Despite that, we would go back to the hotel if we were to visit again. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs which we made use of in the evenings. We were there from Thursday to Sunday, and the restaurant was open every day despite what the website states.

Very good hotel. Stayed 3 nights whilst on a self guided battlefield tour. Check in very easy. I like to speak French when visiting France but the staff here speak English so no problems if you get stuck with French. I was first floor at the rear of the hotel in a nice big room with tv, comfortable bed and en suite with good shower. The room was quiet apart from the usual noisy guest that finds it necessary to slam doors and stamp about, obviously this issue beyond the hotels control. Good size free car park. Very good restaurant and reasonably priced. Good continental breakfast but also had boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon, plenty of choice. The reception has some armchairs to sit with a drink from the bar and a pool table, also some tables and chairs outside. It’s about 30 minutes to walk into Albert where there are numerous restaurants but most don’t open until 6pm so best to check timings. Good bakery 5 minute walk away next to a McDonalds if that suits you. I’d return here to stay.

I've stayed at Ibis Albert previously when visiting the Somme. It's ideally located. Staff are friendly and our stay was pleasant. Breakfast had a fair buffet style selection of cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, juices, cereals etc. Our room was clean and quiet and had all we needed.

Bacon and scrambled eggs at breakfast were the hot choice and were first come first served and not replenished which was disappointing. We went for breakfast at 08.30 and they were all gone. That's the only negative.

good parking. quick and efficient check in. Accommodated arriving a day earlier with no issues. liked to pool table in reception even though we did not have time to use it. Just a little thing, but the shower doors open both ways which avoids all the fuss getting in and out and all the water over the floor.

nothing, it was ideally located, good value for money and importantly it was clean.

Location to The Somme visit points, the hotel & local facilities together with the friendliness of the staff are the main reasons we like to return when visiting the region

Beds are a little small for an ‘average’ sized couple sharing which can impact on sleep. Bar prices can be a little costly compared to the local bars & restaurants but doesn’t dampen the visit.

We wanted a hotel close to Albert town centre and within the Somme battlefields. The Hotel was everything we needed. Situated on the deg of town and within 2 minutes of the battlefields and cemeteries, a walk into town can be taken in half an hour but Albert has plenty of free parking so after a day wandering the sights we chose to drive in. there is a large supermarket very close. Breakfast is a buffet style, and very nice. Dinner from a menu is also very good and well served with pleasant staff

I can't think of anything really. The hotel is what it sets out to be and we have no complaints. It suited us very well.

As basic hotels go, this was a good one. Clean facilities, comfy bed, nice size shower. Alexia at front desk was particularly helpful, other staff not so much. For some odd reason, their dining room was closed on a Friday and Saturday nights. Fast food within walking distance, but better restaurants are available in town if you’re willing to drive.
