Our hosts Brigette, Francis and Olivier made us feel so welcome and were genuine in making our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. The Chateau is filled with history and has been magnificently renovated - a true labour of love. We used the Chateau as a base camp to visit the WWI sites which were all within 15-30 minutes drive. We were given water each day and offered a beverage (beer included) at no extra cost. Communication was via google app which helped. I will make sure to learn as much French as possible before my next visit to France

The only thing that could possibly make this a better stay would be the a small fan to use of a night for some ‘air flow’.

Spacious rooms with high ceiling, very beautiful decor and furniture, bathroom, very pleasant and nice hosts, best breakfast in France so far. Very beautiful building and it was very interesting to read about chateau history and watch in photo albums on how they brought it back to life. They also have games room with board games, football table and billiards table. Small playground in the garden, maybe for kids up to 5 years. Dinner is not served, but in 10 mins drive there is a town with good number of restaurants, cafes, and takeaways, but call to book table for restaurants beforehand to ensure you have a table (especially if you plan to sit inside).

Well renovated chateau run by kind and friendly hosts. Information on places to go was available as an English video and a booklet on the WW1 memorials. Breakfast was very generous and the room was of a high standard and comfortable. There was plenty of furniture to sit outside and enjoy the garden Top marks because the hosts went out of their way to make us welcome, took time to show us the restorations and information on the fate of the chateau during WW1 and even provided us with a dessert one evening.

We were blown away by this Beautiful house, our last stop on what had been a 3.5 weeks tour of France, and a fitting place for us to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. The hosts were very accommodating, making restaurant reservations for both nights we were there. The breakfast is lovely and location perfect for touring the Battle of the Somme area. Bridget was very helpful and offered us a warm welcome when we arrived and ongoing. They are a lovely family who’ve done an amazing job at renovating this beautiful chateau.

The hotels historic significance. The family who run the hotel are simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms, on both occasions we have stayed there, were simply fantastic. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished in keeping with the building's history. Breakfast was well set out and of excellent quality. We are certainly going back next year en-route to Italy. Thank you to everyone there.

There was nothing negative from our point of view. We loved the place.

Amazing property, with large, well appointed rooms. All you could imagine of a French Chateau. We cooked our own meal on the BBQ and enjoyed the ambience of the location. As the evening cooled, we retreated inside to the games room. The owners ensured we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

I think the marketing of the chateau is understated and does not do justice to the quality of the package

What a privilege it was to stay in such a beautiful Chateau. Our room was cosy with comfy beds and a great shower. Our hosts were fabulous. So helpful, kind and generous. It was wonderful hearing about the history of the Chateau and its various stages of renovation. The location is great. Only 15 minutes from Albert and well located for exploring several of the WW1 sites. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

A delightful stay in a beautifully genuine, though renovated 1880s French chateau. Mme. Olivier was very keen to ensure every aspect of our stay was the best it could be. An excellent location to explore the lower regions of The Somme… Fromelles, Villers-Bretonneux and The John Monash Centre, etc.

Nothing.

We had a wonderful time here! The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and made our stay very special by having a drink with us while talking about the history of the area. We don't speak any French but the hosts were great and with some help from our smartphones we could communicate. The place is very impressive and pretty, the bathrooms absolutely clean and the bed very comfortable. We felt like royals for a night. For breakfast we had, besides a large choice of bread and cheese, also freshly made omelettes for us and I loved the homemade jam! I would love to stay here again!

This property was a great surprise - we did not know the history before hand and really enjoyed the owners explanations. They went to great lengths to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Even put on a video and some welcome drinks to help us understand the significance of the property in the region. I love discovering places like this - much better that the run-of-the-mill hotels that are the same everywhere! Breakfast was in a light and airy dining area with views over the gardens. Plenty of choices and all local food and fresh. And the puppies!

You need to be aware that a car is essential, as cafes etc for dinner are a few kms away. We knew this beforehand, so not a problem for us.
