We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hôtel du Golfe. The room was beautiful, everything in the hotel has been renovated, and the result is stunning. The design is modern and elegant, and we felt great from the moment we arrived. The room was air-conditioned (which we really appreciated), with a super modern bathroom and shower. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the pool was fantastic. There’s also access to a spa, which we didn’t have time to try, but we’re already planning to book it for our next visit. The location is perfect, just a stone’s throw from Collioure. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive, truly top-notch service. We had a great night at this hotel and highly, highly recommend it!

Everything was perfect!

Great place for a relaxing break the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable light and clean with tea coffee making facilities. The swimming pool was wonderful especially as it was so hot. Probably best if you have a car but we did walk to and from Collioure several times.

We hadn't realised the hotel was so far out so definitely a taxi to and from the station. However that took nothing from the lovely location and the staff were great organising taxis if needed and recommending lovely walks and locations to visit.

We paid extra for balcony and sea view which was worth it as a lovely view of the sea (albeit with trees slightly obscuring view from 1st floor, 2nd floor view better). Great to have twin bed availability as I came with my mum, good breakfast (€16 p/h), friendly, helpful staff. Great facilities in the room including a kettle and good bath products. Comfortable bed and very good pillows. The best bit was the massage in the spa - absolutely fabulous.

Note: The main road is very close so the view is over the road with the sea behind. Unfortunately our room (1st floor) was above the restaurant so we were woken very early with banging and scraping of chairs as breakfast was being prepared. Also, the shower screen is fixed to the bath so my elderly mum wasn’t able to reach around to turn on the taps to the bath/shower without getting into the bath first.

This worked well for an overnight halt close to Collioure, particularly because it has plenty of parking. A beautiful setting, good soundproofing (the road and railway run just below but with the windows shut silence reigns), top quality fixtures and fittings, an exceptionally comfortable bed with good bed linen. Fridge and kettle both provided (a rarity in French hotels). We enjoyed our short stay but didn't sample the pool or spa.

Our only issue was with the restaurant, important to us since no others are in walking distance and we didn't want to go out at the end of a long day. The 45 euro menu was of a 'haute cuisine' style, with few choices for each course, hardly any of them suitable for a vegetarian with coeliac disease. But there was zero flexibility from the staff - even the suggestion of a salad from the room service menu received a brusque 'non'. This spoiled the experience (and suggested that perhaps no actual cooking takes place on site, perhaps pre-prepared dishes are served). Look elsewhere if you have special dietary needs!

well situated. being close to ARGELES, La Racou and Colioure town. pleasant rooms, parking, outlook great. The pool is excellent and food is consistently good.

Milk wasn’t supplied with the tea and coffee in the rooms. You had to ask for it. I was told at the desk that the French don’t drink milk with their coffee.’ Really? cafe au lait!

The pool is nice and the restaurant has very good food and a great wine selection. It's a short (five minute) walk to the beach, and they provide towels for the beach and the pool.

Breakfast was a bit overpriced, and our ground floor room smelled a bit damp/moldy (as did the AC when you first turn it on), with a very strong scented oil diffuser to cover it up.

Spacious room with a balcony and view. Free and convenient parking. We had a couple of special requests which the front desk staff quickly and efficiently met. A request for something to eat outside of restaurant hours was provided by the chef in minutes.

We didn't think that we needed to book a table for dinner on an off season Monday evening. Our mistake as the restaurant was fully booked until 9:00 PM. They did offer to seat us after that time, but we declined.

Fantastic location, excellent breakfast plus the breakfast staff are very nice, good swimming pool with plenty of loungers and never too crowded

No smart tv with only French channels. Room was a little on the small side for a longer stay. No beer on tap at the bar, a ridiculous €7 for a 25cl bottle of beer.
