The location was quite beautiful and peaceful, and easily accessible with our rental car. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 10 days. It was the perfect option to serve as our home base to tour around Provence. After a full day of exploring the area, we returned to a relaxing evening sitting in the garden enjoying wine, reflecting on the amazing things we'd seen and done that day. The beds were very comfy. We brought snacks and groceries into the apartment to supplement the big meals eaten out daily as we ventured into the countryside, often with no set plan in mind. I enjoyed staying at Mas de Capelou very much and would encourage you to try it. We were treated as VIP guests.

Perfect place to stay, very relaxing atmosphere in the beatiful gardens. Our host Valerie was most friendly, even when we arrived very early in the morning (as we had discussed prior to our arrival), it was no problem at all for her to welcome us to our family room. The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was also very good, including freshly made Bread and croissants and lots of delicious homemade jam and juices. The city of Avignon was about ten minutes drive away. We parked on the isle side, and too the free ferry to the city. Our kids loves the ferry ride!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mas De Capelou, the grounds are so so beautiful. Valerie and the other owners have really thought of absolutely everything to make your stay as relaxing and special as possible. Things like a drawing room for the kids, yoga mats to use in the garden, a stocked fridge in the pool area that you can charge to your room. We travelled with our two girls and they loved the pool, exploring the gardens and pear orchard. There’s a fab tapas restaurant on site we had dinner at one night with delicious cocktails and there’s a full kitchen to use in the pool area which we cooked in on the second night. Breakfast is also so fresh and delicious. Thank you! We can’t wait to come back.

We loved everything about the property, including Valérie, Tom and Jules. It is so relaxing so peaceful. It’s like you’re on a different planet when you’re there absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and you have your own private spaces throughout the property to relax. We also ate at the restaurant twice and the food and drinks are incredible. Jules and Tom (who looks like the actor Andrew Garfield) run it and are the nicest guys. We had a car and drive to Avignon city, Nîmes to see the Aquaduc Pont de Gord, Saint Remy and Isle la Sorge for the markets. Easy to get everywhere from here. You’ll love it.

INCREDIBLE PLACE!! This place is a gem and our host was also incredible. A short drive from Avignon’s old town but feels like a peaceful haven. The grounds have multiple places to stroll, relax and sit and even paint if you so wish. The room was furnished beautifully and classically. Awesome breakfast, parking on site, efficient aircon, honestly we have no notes. Also the restaurant on site is a unique setting recommended to visit.

Nothing!! Just lots of mosquitoes (no surprises due to the green surrounding you) so be prepared!

The natural surroundings of Mas de Capelou are beautiful, and the well-equipped kitchen made it feel just like home. It’s a place I’d love to return to when staying in Avignon.

Some of the furniture feels outdated, and the sofa was a bit uncomfortable—updating the furnishings would greatly improve the experience. Also, the on-site restaurant may not be the best choice if you’re looking for a traditional French dinner.

The location was perfect... situated in the quiet area just north of Avignon. The compound was well designed and it had everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. We rented bikes for a day and they delivered the bikes to the hotel, which was really great. The owner Valerie was very nice and the Wifi was good. The rooms had A/C, which was very much needed because of the hot temperature throughout our stay.

We rented a duplex apartment for 6 people. Unfortunately, there was only 1 bathroom and it was on the ground floor. For our elderly parents, it was not easy climbing up and down the stairs just to use bathroom. It would have been nice to have the bathroom on the 1st floor. I wished they clean the pool more frequently. It had quite a bit of debris and dead insects from the surrounding area.

Where do I start? This property and the staff and owners are exceptional in every way! Magnificent, spacious room. The breakfast buffet was wonderful! Valerie, (the owner of the property), made us an omelette each morning and special little touches like homemade jam and fresh baked breads and pastries were amazing! There is an adorable outdoor restaurant on the property, (run by Valerie's son). Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the restauruant; Other guests we spoke to said it was very good. It seemed to be quite busy. There was a little outdoor kitchen area and one evening we picked up some lovely food from the Avignon market and made ourselves a fantastic home cooked meal- which was a treat! A 10 minute drive from Avignon- you will need a car. Don't hesitate. This place is fantastic!

Valerie was an amazing host. The place was amazing! Clean, big and comfy, cozy and out of a dream. It was just what we needed to be out of the city and just relax. Jules and Tom were just as inviting and wonderful at the restaurant La Brousse . The room was so comfortable and big and clean. Everything was truly exceptional! I would definitely come again for a longer amount of time. Thank you for everything!

I loved EVERYTHING!

Clean, comfortable , quiet, excellent air conditioning ☺️. Lovely views of the garden (which was splendid). On site restaurant was superb, only a limited selection of small plates, but perfect for our family. Valerie and her family were lovely, spoke great English and were kind and helpful. Pool was great . Avignon is stunning.
