I started staying here about 25 years ago when I did a project in the area. Although the exterior was rather basic we were comfortable here, so continued to return en route to the mountains. It's actually a brilliant motel just off the motorway and what I like is the single storey rooms ( no one above you!)and parking directly outside your room. The food is really very nice and all v good value. Since my last stay the bathrooms have been redone - great power shower, v good mattresses. Room heating pretty instant ( rooms are not very insulated) and plenty hot water. Rooms facing away from the motorway side are quiet. Easy to book, good information. Rooms are small but we had a twin and it really was enough space. I find it hard to beat for a practical stop over. The current owners bought it 10 years ago and run it professionally and personally. They know what's needed for a stopover . It has a bit more than the anonymous chain feel despite its rather average exterior. It's a cluster of bungalows and a central restaurant/reception effectively. Petrol station close by, just off the payage exit. If you have time Belleville is quite nice.

I liked how well maintained and taken care of the hotel was. every detail in the rooms had been thought of, such as plenty of hooks for the towels, a nice little desk, and the room was not large but very practical. I also really liked the location, I was on foot yet able to do everything: go for a jog near the river, shop in Fnac across the street and walk to town and restaurants very easily…. I also loved the mineral water at breakfast buffet. They didn’t cheap out and that was appreciated. Also the rooms open to the outside which I loved… I was able to open the door in the morning and breathe the fresh air and hear the rain.

We have stayed at Charme en Beaujolais many times before and every time it is excellent, with a clean comfortable room. The layout of the hotel is especially practical for us with a big car and our dog. The restaurant is always open for dinner, and the food is very good indeed, served with a smile. It is quick to check in and out and the autoroute is just round the corner, which makes our onward travel easy, whether going South on holiday or returning home to the UK. We wish we could find other hotels on our route with the same design and good value. Thank you.

We have stayed here many times over the years and have always found it perfect. Just off the autoroute, clean and comfortable rooms, dogs welcome in the rooms and in the restaurant, good food for good prices, all round a good experience every time.

This time the hotel was unable to allocate us a room where we could park outside it. We had a full car and a dog and found it inconvenient to park at the front of the hotel instead of outside our room where we could see it. A small problem but we thought we should mention it.

This was a surprising hotel, it looks just functional but the restaurant dinner and breakfast were superb and well managed- there was a large party on a group tour having dinner at the same time but we were served without delay to a great meal. Interestingly the bedrooms are arranged in small pods of 4 (like being on the moon!) and you can park right outside your room near grass and shrubs. The nearby river at the old Port is a pretty short walk away, (dog enjoyed it), as is in the opposite direction even nearer the old town with its church and a high street. Just moments from the autoroute, but quiet! It seems Family run and deserves a good feedback!

Nothing really! Before arriving I wondered if I'd made the right choice, and I am happy to report I did!

Rooms are placed like small Bongalows, so each has direct access to the ground. Also Parking just in front of the door was possible. Very close to the Motorway and shopping mall. Good Shower.

With a fridge will be 5 Stars. Rooms a little bit small. Also the Toilette. The loo was so close to the wall that was not possible to sit down straight. It took time the hot water to come ( I was the 1st one :( )

The pretty lady with short white hair on reception was outstanding, the hotel is lucky to have her. The room was quiet, and the proximity to the motorway was excellent.

Our experience with a different receptionist when checking out the following morning was less favourable.

The proximity to the autoroute, the ease of parking and the convenience of a restaurant after long days travelling made this an ideal stop over for my family. We were very well treated by the lovely lady in charge and our thanks to her for all her hard work on behalf of all the guests.

The staff and the restaurant. Really lovely and great food. Like many people we were just on a long drive south to north so this was a break in the journey. Having such an easy, pleasant and good quality restaurant right there was incredibly welcome

Nice atmosphere, lovely place in arrangement, silent although near the motorway, breakfast had lot of variety and fresh. I liked the bathroom and the comfortable bed.

That insonorisation cannot hinder lorries or industrial devices to protrude with noise. I was able to sleep continuosly.
