A beautiful location, a beautiful full of character building, stunning Woodland, and a beautiful pond with the most interesting friendly funny frogs chatting to each other all the time, love that xxx But, not impressed with the long wait we had for dinner, my in-laws walked out after one hour waiting, and other people were served in front of us that we arrived before, and the food and portions were tiny, but amazingly tasty, we all know no places perfect,

The setting of the Chateau and grounds surrounded by vineyards is stunning. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite. We very much enjoyed the swimming pool especially after a 6 hour drive on a very hot day! The location is perfect for anyone driving North-South on the A6 motorway or touring Beaujolais. Dining in the courtyard made for a delightful evening assisted by good and friendly service. Breakfast is more than adequate with multiple options.

Despite the impressive dinner setting in the courtyard in front of the Chateau, the inventive visual presentation of the food and the excellent service, unfortunately the dinner was bland with little flavour. By comparison to the food in Lyons and Piemonte/Barolo where we had been the week before, the food was flavourless.

The chateau is gorgeous set amongst vineyards and open countryside. The bedrooms are located alongside the chateau in separate low-level buildings. Our room was spacious with a very nice bathroom and a lovely comfy bed. A highlight of our stay was a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant. The food was fantastic - fresh produce carefully prepared and exquisitely presented. A particular highlight was our dessert - the best one we have had in a long time!

It's tricky to walk to and from your room in the rain! Although the hotel does provide lovely large umbrellas. It was a long way to the breakfast room and breakfast was a little disappointing after such a great meal the night before. But these are only minor quibbles in what was a lovely stay!

The room was spacious, with a view of Mont Blanc wayyy in the distance. The grounds of the chateau are absolutely gorgeous. And the aquasens spa was a great way to spend a nice morning, which my husband and I loved. I messaged the staff my questions about booking spa time and wine tours, and they were very responsive and friendly. The amenities are the best part. 10/10 stay and if we lived closer, we'd definitely would be back!

Having a car is a must, as it is in a rural area. The room itself was plain and standard compared to the outside of the chateau and the chateau grounds.

Didn’t like as we walked in reception the first thing spoken of was restaurant was fully booked said they had emailed but they had not so no dinner let’s be serious if you book a chateau for one night you are obviously travelling away or home and would obviously want to eat otherwise you would of stayed some where else staying in chateau is all about food,drink band staying some where special having said that breakfast was very good rooms were lovely and pool was nice and relaxing just a shame we had to go out for dinner

Chateau de Pizey was very impressive from arrival to departure. A wonderful chateau with comfy seating,tables and umbrellas for guests. Reception very friendly and helpful. The food was great and our waitress Channone stood out, she was excellent and helpful in translation. In fact all the staff were helpful as much as possible. The gardens were vast and perfectly manicured in every way. The outside pool area was a bonus especially as it was so hot. Our room was tastefully done with the right mix of character and modern features. We stayed 2 nights but wished we had stayed one more - we will return !! Thanks for a great stay.

We are being picky now however the translated menu card wasn’t very clear and could be improved, it seemed to be an afterthought and not as professional as everything else.

The air conditioning in the room was great on the ground floor but unfortunately did not reach the bedroom on the mezzanine so it was an uncomfortable sleep. The room itself was like a motel room with no character. The Restaurant outside was situated in a beautiful setting in the courtyard. Unfortunately the food, although beautifully presented, was underwhelming. The entree was bland and the plat of risotto was way too salty.

It’s beautiful. The only reason was not quite a ten was we were not able to eat in restaurant as very busy but there was a small selection of bar food so not really a big problem . We paid extra for breakfast which was very good

Service at dinner was rushed and forgetful. We left our passports in the safe realising after a two hour drive. We found they had been discovered earlier but no effort was made to contact us.

This is a well situated hotel with beautiful grounds and well equipped rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a swim in the very nice pool. The staff were welcoming and helpful

The beautiful room had the bed on a raised level. In consequence it was necessary to negotiate a short flight of stairs to reach the bathroom downstairs. Which might be difficult for some in the dark at night.
