The welcome and service is always amazing; they make you feel at home. It's a very central location and this time we can at Xmas, with the market and therefore one of the busiest times of the year. The restaurant downstairs was packed, the staff were on their knees, but they had time for us and treated us well. The room met expectations - spacious and comfortable. Any additions we would need can be met given the location at the centre of the city.

The noise - they can't really do much about it, you're on the main town plazza... so don't expect a quiet night. The wifi still leaves a bit to desire and when my husband got on with his, it wasn't safe. My Apple devices simply refused to allow the connection.

The location was good. Lovely view over the square. Good to have a lift. Bed very comfortable. Shower excellent. Restaurant great food and reasonable. Learned about ‘Welsh’ a local dish introduced by the Welsh. Reception excellent and helpful.

Parking not free except overnight. However the receptionist explained that after 6pm no charge as a public car park. It wasn’t that expensive but in high season would be an issue. Woken by some ‘happy’ pub drinkers so had there been air con the window would have been closed.

Unusual to find a comfortable small family type hotel .Right on the towns main square ,but quiet during the night .Friendly helpful staff.Clean modern rooms and an excellent restaurant serving a great variety of dishes both traditional and modern .A real treat was breakfast was available until 10.a.m. We hope to return some day .

The restaurant found it difficult to offer allium free food .Otherwise it was excellent.

The location, the familiarity. We go there every year on our journey home and it’s always welcoming. And a relief to get there. It’s a beautiful town.

We didn’t have breakfast as we were in a hurry but it all seemed rather casual to me. There is a Gaggia machine for good coffee but the breakfast coffee was a do-it-yourself machine dispensing less good coffee than the big Gaggia, which seemed odd. Also the new lighting system in our room did not seem an improvement The. lights had a life of their own and one light didn't work. But as that happens in most hotels it didn't worry us.

The restaurant attached to the hotel meant once I arrived I didn't have to go out again. For the price it was excellent all round. The location was superb, and my window afforded me beautiful views of the historic town square

Not the hotel's fault, but if you arrive by car you have to hope you can park somewhere nearby. I was okay, but at busy times of year it might be a problem.

Good sized room and good bathroom facilities with shower, although the bathroom area was behind a curtain and not a door, not ideal. Great restaurant with wide choice, including regional dishes and specials, friendly service Wide buffet range for breakfast,

Be aware that being on the main square is two edged! Lovely view of the belfry and a central location, but we coincided with a three day biker festival, so there was a lot of noise! No hair drier, something we think should be provided.

Situated right in the centre of the town, overlooking the Grand'Place. Welcoming staff. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast buffet, and lovely evening meal with good choice at good price. Manage very helpful.

Shower was hand-held over the bath.

Fantastic position, staff very kind and available, great breakfast, very good restaurant at the hotel, beautiful hotel. Absolutely recommended (In particular if you travel with a pet. They are fantastic (also) with pets.)

Saturday night it was a bit loud until 1 am due to a club close to the hotel. If you want to rest, better to ask for a room far from the square. However, this was a detail. We loved this hotel.

Our stay at Le Vieux Beffroi, as usual, was lovely. Sitting directly on the square in town, our view over the Christmas market was superb. We had an executive style room, which gave us more space over the standard rooms. Service at reception was very good staff were cheery and the meals in the restaurant were good. Breakfast was varied, and the buffet food was good. All in all, a great stay fere again.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay

Excellent location looking out onto a delightful market square. The restaurant provides delicious food at a reasonable price. The staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room free of charge. We are returning for another night soon on our way to the Alps.
