What a great place to stay! In particular if you're on your way back to the UK, or have just travelled a long way to get to mainland Europe from the UK. Very friendly receptionist guy - he kept the reception open until I'd arrived at 8pm. I got to park right outside the room, which was great as there were patio windows, making it really easy to carry heavy luggage into the room. It was a big room too. Good shower. Clean too.

It was hard to find the hotel from the entrance at the main road! I kept travelling round in the forest in the total darkness until I eventually happened upon the hotel. On the way back in the morning, it was simple enough - there's only two roads from the entrance and I'd taken the wrong one. Take the right hand road! Also, no English TV channels!

A superb place to stay at an excellent price. I've stayed here multiple times when returning to the UK. The room this time appears to have been renovated, making it even better than before! Lovely and warm in the room in November. Excellent shower. Excellent size room. Brilliant!

Maybe put a light switch in the bathroom, as the automatic light stays on for a long time. Just a thought, not a complaint!

Basic, affordable hostel style accommodation (private rooms) in the Parc d’Olhain. Plan ahead if you would like to purchase breakfast/dinner onsite. Hours of breakfast/dinner are limited - check the schedule if you intend to eat there. Breakfast is self serve buffet style (but on croissant per person). Dinner is a set “cafeteria style” dinner. Both were adequate for meeting nourishment needs. Nothing fancy. The Parc is busy during the day but the accommodation was very quiet at night. Expect school groups to be staying/eating there.

Would be helpful if breakfast/dinner hours were listed and instructions to know when you must reserve/pay for each as it is not possible to buy/schedule either last minute. This is especially important for those traveling without a car such as those hiking the Via Francigena.

This was my second time staying here. Great place to stay coming from or returning to the UK. The room is big and clean with a large bathroom. The shower is good and hot. Parking in the car park 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Friendly receptionist who spoke English. Very comfortable bed. Excellent value for money.

In December when I stayed, the room could and should be warmer!

Very easy to collect keys, very clean and breakfast was good. Lot's of facilities on site although just a quick stopover for us on the way to the ferry so didn't have chance to make use.

Parking directions could have been clearer, there was a 'no access' sign which wasn't actually applicable but had to phone reception to clarify. Also the shower curtain was missing in the bathroom which made the floor very wet.

The location in the middle of a forested nature & activities reserve is exceptional and very unique. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is super comfortable, with an enormous bathroom and strong shower. The staff is very welcoming, the bar and terrace simply superb. I regularly come back and the standard is always on the same high level.

Sadly the restaurant is only open in the evening if they have a group booking. So far I have been lucky but if there is no group to tag on, there is no possibility to eat on site which is a great shame.

The park is stunning, and the structure has plenty of things to do. The staff was accommodating! I arrived late because I had a problem and they waited for me. The breakfast room has a splendid view. The park is very relaxing, and it is immersed in the greenery.

The breakfast was basic with not much choice.

Nice clean rooms in a beautiful setting. Cafeteria is located on the premises and we had both supper and breakfast there, both were good. Also when we left we could walk out the door and be on the Via Francigena again. The staff was excellent. Recommended.

Nothing to complain about. There are lots of kids there but they were very well behaved

We booked a room on Booking.com. However this is actually a holiday camp where I expect people stay for longer eg a week. The accommodation was modern and clean but a little minimalist. Dinner is in a cafeteria served on a strict timetable with no choices 7-8pm. We got there at 7:50 pm and there was almost nothing left. By 8:30pm we were the only people left in the bar and food building. Wierd. I guess mostly for young families. Fantastic view from the bar terrace.

Short hours for dining

This is a bit unusual for a hotel. It is in a parc which is half nature reserve on top of the hill and also a family adventure parc. The hotel had a "new" feeling to it, maybe also newly re-opened after Corona shutdown. It has a bit of a youth hostel atmosphere. When I was there the restaurant was closed in the evening, rather inconvenient but not their fault. It was ok though since I could have food delivered. With a car one could also drive to a restaurant (but impractical with bike due to hilltop location). Most remarkable was the staff, all of which were outstandingly friendly and helpful.
