Easy stay at Ibis Béthune while travelling to Beziers. Our stay was made so easy thanks to Laurence (I hope I have spelt your name correctly), she is the most incredibly helpful person. We stayed here twice, once en route, and once on return, a fortnight later. She remembered us and made check in easy (while carrying to young sleepy children). Thank you Laurence,

Parking is not very clear. We were driving a car with a roof box, and none of the local car parks were high enough to allow us to park, except for the cinema which is signposted to close overnight. We were reassured that the cinema car park did not get locked, and even if it did, the hotel had a key to open/close to help us out, when leaving early (5am) in the morning!

very nice and modern rooms with decent space, very good restaurant next door, convenient location (100m from train station) and within walking distance from city center and shopping mall (Auchan la Rotonde), private and secure parking available (extra fee)

on one evening after returning by car the gate did not fully open and started closing nearly hitting my car, the next evening we arrived late: my friend went up with me having to pick up something from the trunk, but when I entered the hotel she was actually being annoyed by one of the hotel staff (she did not speak French) for not knowing the room number as she had only the room card (without the additional paper where the room number was hand written); breakfast (13,50 EUR/person) and parking (10 EUR/night) are a bit overpriced

Location was very good, the rooms were very comfortable with convenient amenities for this day and age - including built in wireless charging base. The hotel was clean and very modern, the beds were comfortable, shower was spacious and good, and the breakfast very good for variety, quantity and quality.

No kettle in the room. Having driven 200 miles it would have been nice to have made a brew in the room. Surprised at being charged for parking (€10 - overnight) for the hotel car park.

convenient location (within a 10 minute walk from city center), excellent rooms (spacious, lighting, modern design, clean, comfortable beds), private parking and breakfast options available, card access, elevator, checkout until 12 PM, friendly and relaxed staff

I paid for the room upon arrival, but had also paid on booking.com so there must have been a communication problem between booking.com and the hotel (booking.com refunded me after I wrote to the hotel's reception). The entire process went very fast and despite e-mail with news that refund will be made in 7-12 days, I got it on the same day.

Great hotel. Close to the station if you need it. There is a large free car park behind the hotel which is used for the train station and cinema opposite. The hotel has a secure car park at 10€ per night. The staff were great and helpful. Breakfast is 12€ and is the usual continental fare.

However, there's very little close by for eating etc. Town centre Square is only 5 mins in the car, so it's not too far to go.

It all was good

They gave us a connecting room , without telling us and in the middle of the night a inebriated person was stood over our beds , we were scared stiff by this encounter , thankfully they left our room without incident , we thought we were being robbed , or worse , it’s the worst experience iv had in the ibis chain of hotels , which we use exclusively through ( booking dot com )

We arrived late, met by a very pleasant gentleman, who checked us in promptly as we had two v.tired children. Room was clean and nice decorated. Bathroom was a very good size. Plenty of storage although we didn't need, as only stayed for one night and were leaving early in the morning. Breakfast was fab, lots of choice and even had the perk of a takeout coffee/tea/hot chocolate.

Typical IBIS buffet, with enough choice. Fresh bread, madeleines, pancakes. Rooms were clean, nice shower, enough water pressure. Reasonable prices in the restaurant/bar. Private parking (10€)

You can't reserve the parking, so they have to pay attention that they don't let too many people park. This happened to us, but we got refunded so no problem there.

Very comfortable and perfect to spend the night just 45 minutes from channel tunnel to get early train back to UK.

Parking onsite was not available as full but there was safe free parking opposite which worked just fine. Was initially concerned as our car was full of possessions after a holiday but everything was fine.

Considering the price to stay here everything was excellent. Our room was small, but modern, perfectly designed and laid out to make our short stay enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although I speak some French the staff all had good English so it was easy to explain when I thought I needed a plug with a USB socket to charge my phone. In fact things were even better as the rooms have wireless charging! The menu for dinner is not extensive, but the dishes we chose were excellent in their presentation, amount and taste. Breakfast is buffet style and included excellent scrambled egg, warm pancakes, plus a good variety of the usual cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses and meats - all very fresh and appetising. We will stay here again.

It was a slight surprise to have to pay €10 for the hotel carpark (which is secure), although there is a large, well lit, public carpark directly behind the hotel.
