Amazing service from the moment we checked in. Timothy, the manager, went over and beyond to smoothen out initial problems with check-in. We had booked via Booking.com, and somehow, they had booked a 4 adult stay even though we are 2 adults and 3 children. We had also booked the half board option, but again Booking.com had only booked this for 4 adults. Initially, we were told we had to pay extra for the additional meal, but Timothy thr manager went out of his way to rectify the issue. He had a word with the restaurant manager, and they agreed to add on an extra person for free for the meal options. Timothy and all his colleagues treated us with respect, and every day, we had someone check in with us to make sure we were OK and our needs were being meant. The restaurant staff were also amazing. we had fantastic food and service. The plat du jour was always a bonus surprise. It was not available on weekends, but that was fine. We recommend this hotel for the service, care and attention, great good and atmosphere. We loved the fresh water dispenser and the table football/soccer in the accueil. We loved that we were in the heart of the city. We loved the housekeeping service and once again the amazing food! Well done, Ibis Meriadeck !

Clean facilities and no bedbugs. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location fairly central and all a short walking distance. There is also free cold water and sparkling water in the lobby area you can refill anytime. Great value for money.

The air-conditioning unit there doesn't function properly to cool the room, despite changing the temperature and giving it time. Sadly, more like a fan mounted to the wall, pointed to the ceiling circulating existing air. The main reason for booking ibis in summer was due to the ac unit, so this was quite disappointing. It was incredibly stuffy, and ventilation was difficult. The shower head height could not be adjusted as this was broken as well - but this might be just that particular room.

It had a good carpark below and is right on a principle tram route giving access to lots of city attractions. We had an inner courtyard room which was very quiet, surprising given the the hôtels location on a busy road intersection.

The only real problem was exiting the car park as the steep ramp, wide enough for one car has to accommodation flows in and out wherein we were waiting at the bottom and 3+ cars were trying to enter, so we had to reverse several times to make way for cars coming down the ramp, which is difficult in narrow space. there is no assistance call point and the control system is rather poor when leaving.

Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable bed and spacious room, excellent room cleaning, great quality meals and service at the onsite Bistro. Very handy to be so close to excellent public transport and shopping centre. I also loved the option to swap a room cleaning for a drinks token! Great idea!

My room heating did not work, so the staff provided me with a small fan heater. There no pool/spa/sauna/gym facilities - I would have loved that after spending a long day at the cold ice rink! The small windows are a shame also, as I love looking out at the view, makes a room feel much more relaxing!

Great location within walking distance of sites we went to. Hotel lobby was clean and welcoming. It's a convenient place to stay. staff was very helpful getting us a taxi. It was short 6 minute walk to nearby laundry mat. Maid was very helpful and gave me extra towels when I asked.

When I first arrived the room had an old shoe insert left in the closet. The empty bottles (I think for bottled water) are gross and dirty. I did not use it and put it on the floor.

The ibis was about 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Bordeaux,lots of bars and restaurants on the way so made the walk very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful the breakfast was very good lots of choice. The room we did find very warm at times but didn't feel the need to put the air-conditioning on.We were able to open windows. Bed was extremely comfortable. I would say if you are staying at the ibis and arriving by tram from the airport go to the next stop after meriadeck it's literally round the corner,walk a few paces back and the hotel is smack bang in front of you. There's a Carrefour directly opposite too which we found very handy. When you come out of the ibis go right and you will see a spire with a gold top head for that and that takes you into the centre and the lovely river front.

The room is conveniently located near the Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux and Rue Sainte-Catherine, the longest pedestrian street in Europe. Reaching the hotel from the train station was simple, and there’s a tram stop right outside, providing easy access to other parts of the city. The hotel features a beautiful bar with great craft beers, an excellent breakfast with plenty of options, and outstanding staff.

We wish the rooms were a little bigger, but we understand that the hotel rooms are usually smaller in European countries.

* The hotel was fantastic, the staff were super friendly (and even better that they didn't mind our poor attempt to speak French but we tried), * The mattress was so comfortable, firm but also soft. I haven't slept so well in a hotel before ! * The restaurant was great too, whilst we didn't eat there, we had drinks when we arrived and coffee in the morning before checking out. * The hotel was also very clean and even better that there was a water fountain (near reception) plus water bottle in our room

The room was a little small but for the price, what can I expect. There was still room to walk around but if you had any challenges to walk in narrow spaces, I'd check if they had larger rooms.

Staff very helpful and friendly, bar/ restaurant very good for a hotel, Location perfect for airport and city centre. Getting about Bordeaux very easy using trams and buses. The Bar/ restaurant seemed to attract locals as well as tourists so always a wee buzz there. Meals/drinks prices similar to UK average, but the wine was much better as you can imagine.

Room could had had a few more facilities. Could have been a wee bit bigger but no complaints, we got great value for what we paid.

Excellent location. It was quite easy and cheap to reach the hotel coming from the airport. Easy to reach town city center as many good spots are at a walking distance.

When we arrive, nobody told us that there are two different spaces for breakfast. So, the breakfast in the first day was not what we pay for. Thankful, on the second day, a nice lady from the staff alerted us that our breakfast room was the other one.
