We enjoyed the breakfast. At first glance you may think there's not a huge selection. In actuality there are any number of choices to be made, and everything from the main buffet turned out to be exquisite, as were the juices and coffee. My guess is it's best to take it slow and look carefully before making your selections. The waiter will offer you eggs, and we went for omelettes which were extremely well prepared. In the bedroom... the bedding is particularly high quality.

There's very little not to like. I had a tiny problem getting the plug to seal in our sink, but is that actually a problem? There's too much good about the place to waste time nitpicking things that always happen during the general day to day of any hotel.

The hotel was so quaint and peaceful. It's in a small town with really good, local restaurants surrounding. You do need a car to drive to town, but it's a great escape to be with nature.

They even brought me to the room, but I had to carry all the luggage for one week €35 for breakfast, €8 for one bad cappuccino, I mean, no price relation and nothing to add No spa, just a little pool which couldn’t be entered for few days, because water was not ready No fitness Entry part of the hotel is cold, not chilly, the entry door has to be open manually by your own, it’s pretty heavy and it was horrible with all the luggage. There are no beauty products, e.g. cotton pads, ear sticks, etc. in your room. In general there is just the body cream and shower gel, not really evaluated or thigh quality. I mean, headquarters of l’Occitane is just around the corner, for a so called 5stars hotel I would at least expect that, and not a €5 shower gel. Second what I have to complain: who in the world came up with the idea put glass bottles in the shower? Even if the hotel has not had an anniversary, the shower floor has been already broken. I was afraid not to cut my feed. When I was trying to give a feedback, they try to shut me up politely. Hopefully now they learn and increase or remove 1-2 stars of their plate. I don’t know who gave them these 5 stars, absolutely not worth it

The mattress is fantastic.

Several serious issues made our stay deeply unpleasant. First, the receptionist was visibly irritated, raised his voice, and gestured aggressively when we questioned why we had been placed in a downgraded room — essentially a basement with a window facing a wall less than a metre away. At night, the noise from motorcyclists revving their engines at the nearby crossroads made it nearly impossible to sleep. There was no hot water in our room on the first day — we were told to use a shower on another floor. For the rest of our stay, the shower in our room was missing a glass panel, causing water to flood the bathroom each time. Breakfast was poor and unsanitary: flies were crawling over the sliced fruit, and the limited selection of cold cuts and cheese was of questionable freshness. The information about the rooms on Booking.com is misleading and outdated — descriptions, categories, and photos do not reflect reality. In the end, we were placed in a room without a balcony, despite what was advertised. There is no hair conditioner, no facial sponges, no hand cream — nothing. When asked, staff simply replied, “we’re eco-friendly.” That doesn’t justify forcing guests to beg for basic essentials. There is also no duty manager on site — or at least never when you need one. We spent over an hour on the phone with Booking.com support, only to find out that the hotel simply does not have the room category shown in the listing — the ones with balconies and misleading photos. While some renovation work appears to have been done, the overall quality is disappointing — at best, this is a 4-star property, not more. I would also not recommend the on-site Michelin-starred restaurant. The award is highly questionable: we paid over €200 for appetizers without alcohol. The presentation was decent, but the plates smelled strongly of dishwasher detergent. Booking.com will do absolutely nothing in such cases, regardless of your membership tier or loyalty status.
