The grounds were spectacular and very calming to stroll through. Loved the serenity of the hotel. Quiet, quaint, comfortable and wonderful staff who were friendly and extremely helpful. The separate rooms in the main building provided so many options to sit and relax, although we did most of our relaxing at the pools and outside dining area.

The air conditioning could have been cooler. We were in a family room and one room in particular was uncomfortable for sleeping, the other room was ok. It might be a nice touch to have mosquito repellant in the rooms. We were not prepared for the mosquitos and got quite bitten up while sitting outside our rooms.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ We stayed at this hotel for three nights and overall had a great experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained — clean, lush, and truly inviting. It’s clear the hotel takes pride in its appearance and ambiance. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and perfectly functioning air-conditioning, which was appreciated during the warm days. We requested a fan for white noise while sleeping, and the staff brought one up very promptly — excellent service. The hotel recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, and the renovations they’ve done are tasteful and elevate the whole experience while keeping the charm of the original property. The gym is quite small — really only comfortable for one or two people at a time — but if you go during a quiet period, you can still get a decent workout in. As for the location, it was ideal for us. A peaceful and private setting, yet only about a 20–25 minute walk to town, which made everything easily accessible without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. A few small tweaks would elevate the experience even more, but it’s a lovely place to stay and well worth a visit. A special shout out to Alex, who was an amazing source of information he helped make our vacation a memorable one.

While we didn’t dine at the restaurant, we did try the homemade ice cream by the chef, which was fantastic. That said, for a hotel of this caliber and price point, I feel a small gesture like offering one scoop per guest per day would go a long way. It’s not about the cost — just the gesture. Charging for it felt a bit off-brand for a five-star property.

Great restaurant, nice room with huge terrace and a REALLY friendly staff that tried so hard for my family. On New Years Eve Isabelle and her colleague danced with my 7 year old son after dinner - He loved it! The next day as the same colleague sees him she gives him a big hug and a cheek kiss. For a little one feeling appreciated means a lot!

Nothing- if you are a Hollywood star you will always find a way to complain. But you are NOT! There can always be a misunderstanding, but the intention of the staff is kind and customer minded.

We were deeply moved by the beauty and serenity of the place, a true haven of peace in the heart of Aix en provence. Every detail seems to have been thoughtfully designed with great taste and care. Your entire team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and genuine kindness, which significantly contributed to making our stay truly unforgettable.

The dining room could benefit from a bit more light, although the terrace is absolutely beautiful. As for the menu, there’s room for improvement. For example, the choice of a brousse ravioli in a Thai broth felt somewhat out of place, especially given the emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Overall, the menu is classic and decent, though slightly overpriced.

Everything! A friendly and professional welcome. Excellent service from all of the staff throughout. Fabulous traditional gardens, everywhere we looked the eye was delighted by the views within the garden. Apparently Cezanne enjoyed the gardens also, before they were associated with the hotel. Superb Pool with good Pool attendant for drinks, towels etc. Fabulous food, the fine dining was superb, really special as was the Terrace location. Bar food was also excellent. Thoroughly delighted by our stay here, we will return.

This hotel was excaptional! The staff was fantastic, and the property is GORGEOUS! Loved the pool- and particularly Raphael who worked at the pool! Lovely young man. Great drinks! Loved painting at the pool and in the garden- :) Spa was great too- had a massage. And I signed up for the steam room and sauna.

My room was very small. I get that I got a single room, but it was very single! However, I didn't spend much time in the room because the gardens were beyond beautiful and I was out doing many things during the day.

We had to wait about 10 minutes at check-in for someone to check us in and give us a tour of the facilities. I realize this is relatively minor but there was one person/family checking in before us and the staff checking them in took them on a tour, so we had to wait for someone else. Perhaps consider separating the check-in and the tour because waiting for 10 minutes is a long time. Alternatively, perhaps shift staff to check-in duties during the check-in period.

Loved the whole experience of Le Pigonnet - it’s idyllic.

We ate at the restaurant and our drinks order didn’t arrive and despite ordering the wine before anything else, we didn’t receive this until after the main course had arrived which ruined the experience a little bit.

The hotel is close to center of town (10-15 min walk) but far enough from the hustle and bustle. the grounds are idyllic. the rooms were very clean and well appointed. the linens and bedding was excellent— as were the toiletries. Our room had a view of the gardens and the pool. the restaurant was excellent— all be it a bit pricey— but worth it. Breakfasts were outdoors because of the outstanding weather. the food and choices were excellent and any special desires were met by a very engaged and professional staff. the pool was extremely comfortable with comfortable lounge chairs. it was easy to order a chilled bottle of wine (Roses were of course fabulous). there was also a garden bar for a pre or after dinner drink. parking was free and literally outside the front door. we traveled to a winery (Chateau La Coste), a lavender field (too early for all the beautiful buds but great relaxing site). the name was Terre Ugo— family owned and operated, and a few neighboring cities. all these were within 30-60 minutes and again the hotels location made getting on and off the highway simple. we did journey to Marseille one day— here we took the train from the center of town, walked the city and dined at the port. lovely! bottom line: a wonderful, relaxing, delicious and restful experience. cannot say enough about it and we will return!!

Well appointed, clean and cosy boutique hotel. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Absolutely loved my time here.

Honestly cannot think of anything I disliked here. The room was a bit warm but I tend to run hot so I’m not sure there was much that could have been done beyond the offer of a fan which they did provide.
