Our room had a private balcony, which was a bonus. The room size was generous and the staff helpful and obliging.....but with varying degrees of English communication skills. Excellent sound-proofing, as there was a music festival occurring all around the hotel area, and we hardly heard any noise.

The breakfast selection was limited for the price. Car parking was not in close proximity, being 250 metres or so from the hotel. The hotel is expensive for what is essentially a fairly basic facility. The shower arrangement over the bath is awkward, and difficult to prevent water spray from the shower head wetting the floor.

The ambiance, the location, the kindness of the staff. Just a wonderful place.

There was a big problem in that the twin room on the top floor had a tiny tub with no shower curtain. The two people we had given the room to who want to double occupancy were shocked at the tininess and how close the beds were so my husband and I took this room and gave them our luxurious room, number 310. I would really have liked to stay in my assigned room but I could not give these two women such a tiny space and with steps up to the shower and no shower curtain! For our sake, I should have told the front desk sooner than I did that there was no shower curtain. I will try not to use double rooms anymore unless they're two full size beds cuz for some adults it's just too close.

It is very historic and quite as well as clean. Right in the center of town. Recommend you park at Migret which is covered and secure and about $25.00/day. It is about 500 yards from the hotel. Pay attention to the elevators if you have baggage as some do not go all the way to street level.

We had a "Travel" suite which was rather large. There is a small window. Apparently one room in this hotel has a balcony and I would go for that room. Small slow elevator and your room might involve also using some stairs. Ours did. Quiet right in the middle of town. Bear in mind this is a 3 star hotel.

The location of the hotel in old town Aix-en-Provence was outstanding, less than 100 yards off the main pedestrian street of Cour Mirabeau where there was a retail street fair on three separate days. It was a matter of steps to restaurants and shops and right in the midst of this very "alive" part of the city. The staff, no matter what time of day, was outstanding; friendly and helpful and responsive to requests (especially "Red" at reception)

The bed was soft and very uncomfortable and the pillows were awful.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location just off Cours Mirabeau, very quiet for a central location, historic building. Walking distance from the bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the airport and TGV train station. Bathrobes provided! We didn't have one of the best rooms, so not much of a view, but the welcome and location made up for it. Re. tourist activities, we got a "city pass" from the tourist office. Good value if you are planning to visit lots of museums, it also gives access to buses for free in the city. The pass includes some treasure hunts, we did one which was great fun.

The location is perfect for exploring the city. We booked three rooms: one spacious and two smaller ones, where I struggled to open my suitcase properly. The small lift is adequate for transporting luggage. The hotel features a beautiful historic building and lobby! We love it! The air conditioning works well for the hot summer months.

Although the kettle was a bit rusty, they provided two complimentary bottles of water.

Situated right off the Cours Mirabeau so excellent location for the town. We had the slightly larger room which was fine; bed comfortable and plenty of space. Not much light and noisy pigeons if you kept the window open at night. Only toiletries supplied was shower gel - no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Reception staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Hotel lobby is beautiful and promises a lot. The rooms don't quite match up but were fine (I did pay for a slightly larger one as some were very small)

Beautiful old building with fabulous architecture and history. Centrally located with loads of cafes, restaurants and the market (which changes daily) all close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose the breakfast option and were not disappointed, the breakfast area was well decorated and stylish.

The rooms were a little on the small side and a little plain but that was ok because we were out exploring most of the time and just needed a place to crash.

The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Aix-en-Provence. Good restaurants are within n easy walk and the staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful with recommendations. We had stayed here once before and returned because ir worked out so well for us the first time.

The hotel is multistoried and has an elevator but it only goes to the first 2 floors. If you are elderly make sure you get a room on the first two floors.

The property is set right in the middle of the old town in Aix-en-Provence- there are more restaurants to choose from that, and you can count, and many places to shop. We arrived on Thursday and there was a very large market in the town Square that included some live singers moving around to entertain- it was fun! When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted warmly, and this very ancient building was once a convent in the 11th century, and the view from our window was across from a beautiful church. The women at the front desk were helpful and kind, and coffee was available any time throughout the day and night. You will step right out of this hotel onto the cobblestone streets of the old village, amidst a lot of activity of locals and vacationers alike. The nights are peaceful and quiet, and the windows kept our room, silent and dark when we were sleeping. The hotel communicated very clearly about parking, and where to go, as you cannot drive right up to this hotel. The lift/elevator is small don’t bring large luggage. The stairs are beautiful, steep stone. We loved our stay, and we’re very glad to have visited this hotel! The hotel communicated very clearly about parking, and where to go, as you cannot drive right up to this hotel. We did see a taxi waiting for someone in front of the hotel, but it appeared that most people coming in and out of the town were parking in the public lot which cost about $25 for 24 hours (nearby).
