I had an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel is very charming and cosy, located very conveniently just outside the boulevard ring but still very close to everything. The famous Rotonde is just 5 minutes away, but the location is very calm. The hotel has been very nicely renovated, it has lots of typical features of Provence but at the same time the equipment is very modern. The bed is very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room are excellent. The AC worked really good. The breakfast was very diverse and you can have it in the internal courtyard. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and responsive. I loved absolutely everything. I hope to be back.

We spent 5 nights at Hotel Cezanne as one of the stops in our 2 week holiday in France. The entire experience was amazing. We were greeted at check in by Serena who not only told us that our room was ready (great news after a 15 hour flight) but also that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great location, just 100m from the train station and less than 10 min walk from the main thoroughfare, Cours Mirabeau. Most of the town centre with key attractions is walkable from the hotel. It is also just off the busy area so it is an ideal location to have a restful stay and yet be able to have the rest of the town within walking distance. The hotel serves an impressive western breakfast comprising hot dishes (eggs, bacon, sausages, sautéed mushrooms, etc.), an amazing spread of breads and pastries, cereals with an assortment of dried fruit and nut that you can add, juices, and coffee and tea. The staff are friendly and are always at hand to help. We arrived from Lyon Saint Exupery airport via TGV to Aix-en-Provence TGV station, and then via an Uber to the hotel. Uber rides are generally expensive. On hindsight, a better option would be to take the TGV from Lyon Saint Exupery to Marseilles, and then switch to an SNEF train direct to Aix-en-Provence (station just 100m from the hotel). This would be the most convenient and cost-effective, especially if you have luggage to lug along.

Nothing really. It exceeded our expectations both in terms of the hotel stay experience as well as proximity to the train station and attractions. Perhaps one thing to note is to ask if the toilet in your room comes with a wash basin. In our case the toilet was separate from the bath area (which was excellent and spacious), but the toilet did not have a wash basin. This, according to staff is not a standard feature but guests can query on this before checking in. Overall, not an issue.

Our bedroom decoration was beautifully done; the bed exceptionally comfortable, modern bathroom; super rare quiet air conditioning. Excellent choice of food for breakfast inside or outside seating, exceptionally helpful and smiling staff. Front desk cheerful welcome and v helpful. Excellent efficient and helpful booking team. Hotel parking close by but reserve in advance. Location right next to beautiful city centre but still in a v quiet location. This has to be the best place to stay for anyone visiting Aix-en Provence!

Some rooms have bigger bathrooms than others but a minor inconvenience.

Beautiful hotel located in a perfect place to discover Aix. A cozy design hotel with a provencal touch located 5 min walk from the center with many stores, bars and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful with any question. The breakfast buffet is standard but ample in its offerings. Pleasant to be offered some free drinks in the room. Perfect hotel to discover the city with very good value for money.

The service from the reception staff was exceptional, they couldn’t have done more for us from start to finish - with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations, taking our bags up to the room and organising us a taxi to the station. Breakfast was also fantastic, a very broad high quality selection. We only stayed one night and they upgraded us to their prestige suite which was lovely. The complimentary drinks in the fridge were also a nice surprise!

The toilet was in a separate room to the hand basin on opposite sides of the room.

The location is very good for the car travel as it is nearly at the very center, but easily approacheable by car. The garage is spacious and is just 100 metres away from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is quite generous, but if you do not want to take a big one, there is an express option as well, which is great if you are not too hungry in the mornings. This is a good place to stay if you travel around.

I am not sure why the hotel has 4 stars as the facilities are not that plenty. I was quite surprised that the bar worked only till 11 PM and while there was a person at the reception, who is normally is a bartender as well, he rejected to sell us anything after that time. The rules are the rules, but the additional money would not harm the hotel either. The exit from the hotel is a bit narrow and we have witnessed as the big car had some challenges to come out without too many back and forth movements.

About 8-12 mins walk into the center of Aix. It was quite convenient to get in out of Aix if you want to drive around. They have private parking for 25 euros/day which I found helpful to not stress about finding parking. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The doubles are a bit sad and bare bones but the junior suite is quite large and airy. For a longer stay I would go for the suite. Staff was always available and very attentive and kind. I would stay here again if ever in Aix.

Hotel Cezanne was exactly as pictured - clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The L'Occitane toiletries were a lovely Provençal touch. Our room was spacious and cool, and the air conditioning was a real relief during the heatwave. We also appreciated the daily room service and well-maintained facilities.

Parking is charged at €25 per day, and breakfast is €22 per person - these extras can add up quite quickly, so it’s worth factoring them into your budget.

There is a wonderful breakfast at the hotel in the morning with an option to sit outside if the weather permits. The staff welcoming and helpful and rooms on the patio are quiet.

I feel like the room advertised in the pictures did not compare to the actual room I received. I reserved a deluxe room and while big enough, it didn't have the amenities pictured, like a terrace/balcony for example. Also, the room was very warm at night. The windows could be opened but without screens, bugs were flying in.

Breakfast food choice was very good. Location was excellent being close to the old town but in a quieter area. We loved the garden area, it was pretty and very peaceful. The main thing we liked about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly to us, from Muhammad who checked us in to Omar who looked after us extremely well in the garden.

The coffee frequently ran out at breakfast and was slow to be replaced.......something to do with a slow machine in the kitchen I was told. Also on two of the 3 mornings of our stay, the bacon was finished at 9.45 and was not replenished.
