Absolutely adorable. We were beyond excited to see this hotel. Such an authentic Aix building and beautifully styled and equipped. Our room was petite but perfect and super comfortable. The air con in summer was a godsend. The location was fantastic, one minute walk to the Rue Mirabel and all its charms. The staff were so friendly and helpful and no request was too difficult. Love this place!!!!

It didn’t bother us at all but those who don’t love stairs may possibly find being on the third (top) floor a bit hard. We were fine with it and it was a great way to work off all the food we ate hahaha

The property itself is really nice, in a historical building. The decoration is very typical of the area, with soft muted colors, and there is much attention paid to details. The bed was really comfortable, and we really liked having a window giving onto the quiet street, with typical shutters allowing some daylight without being too bright in the morning.

The room was really small. Although we did expect it not to be big, there was hardly any room to put bags, so i can't imagine if you come with one (or two) big suitcases! The bathroom was also small but functional, however the shower setup was difficult to use: the hand-held wand was attached too low to be of use, and the above "rain" wand took over the entire shower space so you could hardly shower without water all over your face and hair.

Location: a beautiful and characterful street very close to Cours Mirabeau, the main artery of old Aix. Pleasant 14 mins flat walk from.coach station Lovely building tastefully decorated Pretty bedroom, very restful shades, and a very comfortable bed Both receptionists very friendly and helpful

3rd floor bedroom, but the receptionist kindly offered to take our luggage upstairs..although the listing says staff won't do this. I am glad he did and to me it is essential ( if you are over 60 and have travelled from afar!) so THANK YOU! Some disruption from individuals on the street in the night ɓut it is a town centre location

Location was very good: close to public transport and walking distance to the main tourist areas, such as the markets, museums, and restaurants. The hotel has a lot of historical charm (with all the pros and cons that come with that :). Front desk was helpful with questions. AC worked very well and the room was quiet.

Our room (on the top floor) was a bit small (but we had a large bed). As the property notes, there is no elevator, only (narrow) stairs, so be mindful how large of a suitcase you are bringing.

This is a cute little historic hotel! The front desk staff were always very nice and friendly, and kindly stored my bags for me on my final day after check out. The location is pretty good- not too far of a walk from Cours Mirabeau, and also right around the corner from the Quatre Dauphins fountain.

Most of what I didn’t like is not something that can be helped, given the historic nature of the building, and I knew that up front. For example, there is no elevator, but that is the case with many older hotels in France. The room is very small, but again, very common in France. Also there is no parking on site, so having to park a 10 minute walk away was a bit of a hassle.

Charming small hotel with friendly staff. Excellent value. Our room on 3rd Floor was quite small but adequate and clean. Good little bath. We did not take the Petit Dejeuner but good coffee was free. Superb neighborhood, quiet and historic and easy walking distance to everything. Would stay here again without hesitation but would ask for lower floor (no elevator) when making reservation.

Perfect location close to the main boulevard so we were able to do everything on foot. Friendly staff - all students - and good to have someone at reception 24 hrs as we returned late from opera performances.

We knew the room would be small but it was really very cramped - difficult to unpack. Shower doors didn't close properly so difficult to avoid water splashing onto the floor. No hot water in shower at 0700 on our day of departure.

I love this hotel and if I return to Aix, this is the only place I would consider staying. It is quiet and peaceful, and it's the best location possible for easy access to Cours Mirabeau, the outdoor markets, and all the sites. I absolutely loved it! Laurena at the front desk, who is the manager, is top-notch. She arranged taxi service for me twice and was so helpful and welcoming. I felt so well looked-after with her at the helm.

I thought the rooms would have a view. Other than that, there is not a thing I didn't like. It was wonderful.

The hotel is very nice, decorated in French boutique style. It is located very close to the center, and the area is very quiet. The staff is very kind, and there is someone at the reception non-stop. The breakfast was quite Ok, but I didn't have any kind of egg/omelette or vegetables.

The minus would be the very small room, really very small. :) We were warned about this aspect, and for one night it was OK. The biggest minus is the fact that the hotel does not have an elevator (we knew this), and our room was on the 3rd floor, making it very difficult to carry our luggage.

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The location was ideal for walking into the main part of town and close to parking. The breakfast was good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Aix-en-Provence region. The bed was extremely comfortable.

There is no elevator, and narrow stairs to three floors. Carrying heavy bags up and down the stairs is difficult when you get as old as me. The room configuration was a little strange, a lot of space was "wasted" with the corridor in the room. The closet space was limited.
