The hotel is in a quiet location next to the river, but only some ten minutes walk to the city centre. Our room was modern and spacious with a great view over the river, Everything therein was of excellent quality, with a very comfortable bed. There was secure on-site parking. We had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant and although not 'haute cuisine', it was nonetheless very good, even if a little formulaic. The breakfast was either buffet style with a varied choice of quality products or continental, also offering pastries and good quality coffee. There was access to the main riverside walk via a gate in the well-kept hotel gardens, which had seating areas available.

As stated above, the food was very good but as to be expected, typical of the ready-prepared hotel chain style meals, but that aside, in the short time that we stayed, nothing else struck me as needing improved or altered.

The hotel was clean and attractively decorated, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent with a fabulous view of the historic bridge in Cahors. Our room was a good size, well appointed with a terrace and lovely views. Really well made cocktails before we went out for dinner. Breakfast was generous and nicely laid out. Our only quibble was the plug in the bath wouldn't work and the bath didn't drain but the staff were quick to acknowledge it and deal with it. It was an added bonus to have underground parking which was cool and sheltered meaning our car & belongings were safe. We thought it was pretty good value and would definitely stay there again.

View of the bridge wonderful; tranquil environment in general—watching people walk along the river; walk to church about 10 minutes—but worth it! One block from the old bridge. Parking is easy. The front desk staff was exceptionally efficient and clearly explained where to go.

Nothing was a problem—apart from the walk to town being linger than expected. But that was unavoidable if we wanted a view of the old bridge.

Fabulous location next to the medieval bridge over the Lot. Underground parking with EV chargers available to book. Good value bar snacks with pretty open area overlooking the river. Excellent large room with enormous, comfortable bed. Very helpful staff.

Very minor point, the underground parking is claimed to be secure, but the entrance was open late in the evening and early in the morning, so I don’t think it is truly secure.

The modern hotel building is a bit of an eyesore next to the Medieval pedestrian bridge Pont Valentre. But once you are insight the hotel, you are pleasantry surprised by the modern and lightful architecture. All rooms have a great view on the idyllic river Lot and Pont Valentre. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The breakfast sticks out as superb, going far beyond the usual French breakfast options. Staff is very friendly and efficient. And they have a locked bike-room in case you arrive by bicycle.

The staff, room, view and location were all fantastic. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Clearly the management at this hotel really know about hospitality. We only had coffee for breakfast so can’t comment on the food in the morning. We are on the terrace both nights and the food and wine choices were good - a bit limited but they don’t claim to be a full service restaurant. We recommend this hotel without hesitation and would definitely stay here again.

No complaints about anything

We love the combination of sophisticated brutalist architecture, gorgeous nature in which the building is set and super modern facilities like the indoor pool leading to the sun terrace.

It’s our second time there. We love all of this hotel - rooms, setting, staff lovely. In an ideal world would like to have the toilet in the bathroom with a sink rather than separate but that’s minor.

The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the river and the Pont Valentre which could be enjoyed from our room balcony. The room was clean, well maintained and spacious. The breakfast was good. We arrived by car and were pleased to have access to secure parking on site. The staff were delightful. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but is close to a range of good places to eat.

Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff. Our stay of 5 nights was the « Best » birthday treat!! Relaxing highlights: from our balcony - watching the pilgrims crossing the Pont Valentre ( Cahors is on the Santiago de compostella pilgrim route) and watching the river craft passing through the lock by the ancient bridge. Active highlights: Close proximity to excellent restaurants, shops, and the historic centre and easy exit out of town ( once we understood the one way streets better than the sat nav!) The Lot valley is very pretty - Saint -Cirq- Lapopie and the amazing cave drawings at the Grotte Pech Merle are a short drive out of Cahors. Safe hotel parking arrangements were much appreciated.

For a very comfortable luxury hotel the catering arrangements were of a less high standard/ value for money. Breakfasts were expensive but generally very good with lots of choice. ( There is a super river view terrace) But there is no hotel restaurant and the limited light bar menu was disappointing. However only a few minutes walk away there is a superb restaurant, a crêperie and a Boulangerie/ cafe. So this turned out not to be a problem.

I stayed at this Best Western with a friend as we were meeting my uncle and his friend after they finished the French part of the Camino Trail. The dinner was wonderful in the restaurant with fabulous and friendly staff. The room was amazing with a beautiful view of the river and the medieval bridge in Cahors. Everything had been thought of in the room down to a small ledge in the shower to put your foot up when washing, as well as a washing line in the shower space to dry any handwashing done during the stay. We loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone considering a stay in Cahors.
