It is a beautiful property. The room was large, very spacious and clean. The room has a bed and a sitting area with facilities for making tea. The hostess is very friendly and offers interesting conversation as she has traveled and lived abroad. We had an excellent breakfast in the morning, especially the freshly prepared rice pudding with fresh fruit and cakes. The area is quiet, and you can park next to the entrance.

This is not related to the accommodation or the hostess, but we stayed in Châtellerault on a Sunday night in December, and on this day, there were not a lot of restaurants open.

The house was charming, as per its name. Typically french with an eclectic mix of treasured possessions. Christine was also the perfect hostess. Speaking to us in French or English as we wished - so thoughtful and making us feel so welcome. We had a very restful stay and the breakfast was delicious; fresh fruits, homemade yoghurt and wonderful french bread all made for a great start to the day.

Beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious and well furnished room (essentially a suite!) The attention to detail of the owner and hostess Christine is superb. Little decorative touches that make it true to its name “charming”. Very comfortable and warm bed. Dog friendly (but there are two cats - but they avoid the dogs so that’s not a problem). The garden is beautiful. The location is quiet and yet walking distance of the river and town. The conversations with Christine over breakfast were delightful. This personal level of service and impeccable taste is why it is a pleasure to stay at an owned and operated B&B

Christine is the most lovely host and was very welcoming, the breakfast was presented on beautiful china quite a memorable meal. The choice of food was impressive as was the quality.

Most of the restaurants were shut on Sunday and Monday evening but we managed to get a take away pizza from just down the road which was super, this was not Christine’s fault but apart from that we enjoyed the stay.

It is just beautiful! I have never experienced a home with so much charm, attention to detail and French/Moroccan style and beauty. It is an utter delight in every respect. The owner, who lives in the property, is charming, elegant, kind and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return often on my way through France from the UK to my home in Spain.

A stunning eclectic home that had me mesmerised; Christine has literally sprinkled her personality in every nook and cranny and I loved it! The garden was magical too! She was also a superb host who allowed me to go at my own pace and her breakfast was homemade and delicious. Touches like this make all the difference and it was lovely to chat over a cup of breakfast tea. My pooch Evie was also made to feel very welcome. Her recommendation for dinner was top notch too! Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’ll be back! X

Absolutely nothing!

We had a very pleasant stay at La Maison Charmante. The room is very spacious and cozy with big comfortable bed. The house is as the name says very “Charmante” very well decorated, comfortable, clean and cozy. The owner is such a sweet and nice lady. She suggested us very good restaurants for dinner and the breakfast was beautifully presented in the garden table. We shared a nice conversation with her during breakfast ! Excellent place with great quality in all subjects! We recommend this place very much!

FANTASTIC experience! This place is decorated just by Love! I absolutely enjoyed my stay there! Christine is an incredibly nice & friendly host! I am also Host, therefore I can judge how flexible and lovely, generous a host could be. Apart from the breakfast, she even shared her personal handmade food with me! And it was super delicious! The room is very spacious (it is actually a living room with coach, chairs tables etc!), so you have everything you need. You also have private bathroom and shower. The TV has endless channel accessibilities (Netflix etc). You have refrigerator, boiler and microwave etc. You can also park for free just in front of the house. The house is decorated like a palace! There is also pretty garden where you can chill out. Many cute details all over the place, forced me to take some video shots. I will definitely will stay there again. Highly recommended.

We loved this BnB. Christine is a wonderful and delightful host. Her beautiful home exudes character and her love for her home is everywhere. Artistic and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We absolutely loved our short stay here and will definitely stay when we're in the area again. Perfect. Thanks so much.

Excellent location, charming and friendly host. Lovely to stay somewhere a bit different from the average hotel. We had a very good stay indeed. The electric car charger 4 minutes walk at the end of the road was a bonus
