The Château is a stunning building. The bedroom was huge, clean and the bed very comfortable. Excellent chef. The dinner on the Tuesday evening was amazing but let down by a very bland looking dining room. The main restaurant was a much nicer room but unfortunately wasn’t open during our visit.

There was no atmosphere. I think we were the only residents that evening. The waiter couldn’t speak English so couldn’t offer any assistance with understanding the menu. Location wise there’s nothing else in the town.

We were greeted warmly upon our arrival at The Chateau and enjoyed friendly, helpful interactions with the staff. We loved this place - great historic buildings and beautifully appointed. We had a wonderful “gastronomique” dining experience at the restaurant - great food and excellent service. Bonus: The little bakery across the street had fabulous pastries.

There was no lobby sitting area and only one normal chair in our room - this made the morning coffee experience less than ideal.

Property was beautiful. Like a fairly tale castle! Room was large and clean, great shower! Elevator helpful. Location perfect for day- tripping to many of the Loire Valley chateaus I came to tour. Close enough to town. Breakfast nice. Would have liked to enjoyed dinner but restaurant closed due to their annual plant festival.

Spectacular building in beautiful setting. The restaurant serves a truly gourmet dinner. The interior ground level rooms are magnificent.

While the sweeping staircase is impressive elderly people might require lift facilities. There was no hot water to our shower or basin. I understand this was a boiler problem and not normal.

The staff were very good and helpful however they were over worked! We wish them the best!!

We do not like to see staff worked that hard, however they were working to make the hotel sucessful and that was nice to see!

We had a fabulous room in the main part of the chateau - spacious and extremely comfortable, overlooking the grounds. Wonderful dinner, even though there were only two choices per course. Lovely breakfast in the most beautiful breakfast room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy to find and easy to park. Had a lovely walk round the grounds and woods in the morning.

The Breakfast was ok, the lady on reception was the Jacky of all trades, she booked us in on arrival, carried the luggage and made the breakfast? The Dinner was expensive but absolutely superb.

There were only 2 towels in the bathroom and the bathroom was very small. There were no tea or coffee making facilities, and there was no aircon

A fabulous and small hotel set in the most amazing chateau. History all around and a massive room. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing with lots of additional extra little courses. The wine list was extensive and varied. The bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the hotel and it was obvious they were working hard to bring it up to standard. A charming place to stay and thoroughly recommend it.

The hotel room we stayed in (no. 1) would not have been suitable for anyone with mobility problems as it was up the main stairs and then down a tight spiral staircase. Areas of the hotel were not that clean with dead flies and cobwebs on the window sills in some of the main stair case areas. The carpet in some places was worn and stained.

Beautiful building.

Bathrooms are not to an acceptable standard. Need a shower. A general sifting room would be nice. Gardens need some TLC

This is a property in restoration mode, yet the professional manner in which it is being done does not create a distraction for guests. This property is worth at least one night’s stay and more due to the overwhelming amount of history, culture, and pleasure that is there.

Nothing…there is no way to find fault.
