Everything was perfect. Breakfast was generous and delicious: bread/pastries /juice etc Our hosts, Niko and Christianne, were really lovely, helpful, generous, and just a tiny bit eccentric 😍 They did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable and fun. Their house was beautiful - aged and atmospheric but perfectly arranged to blend the old with the new and comfortable, and the bed was so very comfortable! We had an amazing meal in their garden which was the icing on the cake.

The owner / manager Nico is professional, welcoming and engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is steeped in history and lovingly converted into a very comfortable lodge without detracting from its origins. Our night's rest was blissful in a very comfortable bed and the following day started on a high with a breakfast of substance eaten in just the most beautiful dining venue steeped in history

Our only regret was that we would have like to have stayed on !

La Maison au Puits was like living with medieval history but with modern day comfort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amidst in this historical village and home. Nicholas and his wife were excellent, warm and friendly hosts. Nicholas even gave us a short tour of the village and history in the morning which made our stay meaningful. Breakfast was enjoyable. Definitely a recommended stay if you wish to spend the evening and morning at Cordes-sur Ciel.

We travelled during a particularly hot day but the property was kept cool because of the ancient stone walls. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. We highly recommend you book the dinner there. It was a 3 course meal cooked by the owner themselves. It was the perfect bed & breakfast & dinner.

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in France. The centuries-old building is beautifully restored and kept, with hosts Nico and Christiane pulling out all the stops to make guests welcome. There's wonderful dining on offer, the rooms are comfortable, Nico is generous with his local advice and history, and it’s an easy walk from the unique Cordes-sur-Ciel. Highly recommendable!

great location and atmosphere , a very nice quaint place I love the fact that the house conserves the typical flavor of the region with modern comfortable touches owners are very nice and flexible we were able to check in way in advance , a very welcome situation on a rainy October day

we would have liked to know that the invitation to appero was a paid event not an invitation , we would have paid without hesitation but the surprise came when we were charged for the wine at checkout the next day ......

The tiny village and house itself were so pretty and well preserved, our room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the village. Unfortunately we were not able to experience Nico’s cooking but the two local restaurants he recommended were amazing, as were the tips for things to see along our route.

We had a great two nights at La Maison au Puits. The highlight was the dinner, it was a really unique experience with exceptional food. The accommodation was a great base for exploring Cordes-Sur-Ciel and the local area. Highly recommend.

We stayed there for 8 nights. Great place. Very beautifuly decorated. Nice comfy room. Great breakfast. Don't miss the excellent dinner cooked by Niko, the owner.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodation couldn’t have been better!! The breakfast was very lovely and delicious! The dining room it was served in was idlic French. We also chose to have dinner there at our place. The owner/ chef provided us with an exceptional meal and experience. One of the best meals we’ve ever had…..
