We loved Casa Guelfucci. We were booking accommodation as we travelled on a road trip around Corsica and were very lucky to be able to get a room at less than a day's notice. Our room, Pascal Paoli, on the second floor was quite magnificent. It was very spacious with a bedroom area and large comfortable bed and also a large lounge area. Also a bathroom complete with bath tub and the best view ever from a bath - of the citadel on top of the hill in Corte. The rooms were very light and airy with lots of windows with spectacular views of Corte and the surrounding mountains. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We walked into Corte in the evening and had a great meal in the old part. It was a lovely 10-15 minute walk. Breakfast was delicious and we ate it on the terrace overlooking the view of Corte and the vineyard. There were many home baked delicacies, both savoury and sweet - all were delicious. Also very nice cheese, meats, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. It was all Corsican fare. We met other guests who told us we were in the best possible room and that they usually had it! There was a shared fridge on the ground floor which we were able to use which was a bonus as we were travelling a lot so keeping things cold was a challenge.

That our room, Pascal Paoli, was only available for one night and that we couldn't stay a lot longer. My home bath has become very dull when I think of the view I had from my bath in Casa Guelfucci!

The house is very characteristic and beautiful. It is located just outside of de city centre, just a 7 minute walk (on a sidewalk)! The house is surrounded by wonderful vineyards where the owners makes his own wines that you can purchase. On Wednesday we got the opportunity to have an absolutely magical diner and taste the good wines. This diner was in the vineyards, absolutely stunning and very intimate. The owners are very helpful and the young staff as well! The room was also very authentic and nicely decorated, as well as the bathroom. The views from the room were great!

The ambiance around the house could use some flowers or decorations. Nevertheless, the house is surrounded by vineyards that are worked in during the summer, this also adds to the French ambiance! Honestly I wouldn’t change a thing and very much recommend this hotel!

Great location …easy walking distance to restaurants and bars …three generations of wonderful and helpful staff ….who helped us with some challenges which included taking my husband to the local hospital for some successful treatment . They were spacious rooms and a simple but pleasant breakfast by the pool was provided each morning.

A little dated … but added to character…would have liked a small bar fridge in room …but there was one to share in a common area downstairs

Casa Guelfucci is a perfect compliment to the beautiful town of Corte. The historic charming house with well appointed rooms has been in the same family since it was built 200 years ago. Marie and Antoine are genial hosts and a quality breakfast is served overlooking the vineyard from which the family produces 10,000 bottles of wine a year. This property is an obvious choice for travellers that enjoy interesting places to stay.

Marina and Antoine were excellent and friendly hosts. The whole place had a very special ambience that would be difficult to find elsewhere. Breakfast was very good with many of their own products. We went in May and evening meals were not provided due to the difficulty of finding staff at that time. This was not a problem because Corte has quite a few excellent restaurants, all within walking distance. We look forward to our next visit.

It was a pity that we could only avail of our room at 16.oo and had to vacate by 10 the next morning. That made the stay in Corte somewhat inconvenient as we had nowhere to freshen up and only a short time to enjoy the beautiful room

The room was awesome - large, spotless, very comfortable bed and pillows, spacious bathroom. The setting was scenic, true to the pictures. The family that operates it is very sweet and we loved the homemade jams, wines made on-site, and especially the cats and massive, gentle dog.

Breakfast was underwhelming, better the day that we went early. A bit expensive for what you get, which admittedly is still very good.

Casa Guelfucci is a lovely converted mansion just on the edge of Corte. The building is beautiful, has great views, and is surrounded by vineyards. Better yet, you can buy the wine directly from the vintner, Antoine, who runs the property himself. It is delicious wine and a great price. But the greatest thing about our stay was the Antoine and his family, who run the property—we were checked in by the Antoine’s daughter, the sixth generation to live on the property. They took very good care of us from the minute we arrived, and they served a generous and delicious breakfast including jams made on site. Antoine chatted with us about the history of the property, the work he has put into converting it, and his life as a winemaker. We cannot recommend Casa Guelfucci enough—you will never forget your stay and you can buy wine and jam directly from them to help remember your experience.

There is no elevator which was not a problem for us, but could be for older guests.

Able to leave car at the hotel car park and walk the short distance to the town. The bed was the most comfortable we had in Corsica, the bed linen high quality, the building itself is old and has real character. However the best thing of all is the breakfast spread, its superb, especially liked the home made yogurt! Would definitely recommend this hotel. I believe it's family run and it shows.

A TV in the room would of been nice.

Old charming vineyard with an easy walk into the town. We had a nice spacious room with lovely view over the mountains. The breakfast was good with both sweet and salt alternatives.
