Beautiful very spacious house in a lovely quiet garden setting with views across the river. Room was very well appointed with kettle, coffee machine & fridge. Breakfast was great and included freshly squeezed orange juice. Bed was incredibly comfortable. What really made our stay were our hosts who made us feel right at home.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Le Prieuré Saint Agnan. It is the most charming boutique hotel with the most delightful hosts EVER! It was like being guests in their home with so much charming care & delightful touches … the most delicious breakfasts in their beautiful dining room and wonderful conversations. It is so peaceful with gorgeous views onto the river. We felt so at home & spoilt with our charming hosts who went a thousand extra miles for us .. even fetching us from the station and at the end taking us half an hour away to collect our rented car. It honestly was the most wonderful perfect start to out cycle trip along the Loire River. We would love to go back!! 10 stars 🌟!! 🥰

This is a beautiful setting, right along & in view of the Loire river. Our stay felt very private & secluded as the priory is accessed behind a set of gates & very secure. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Gilles, who generously offered suggestions for sites to see in the area & shared his personal time with us on more than one occasion. A very nice breakfast is offered in a room where you are surrounded by some of the family’s exquisite glassware & dish collections. The various jams are fait maison (homemade), along with fresh pressed orange juice & a selection of pastries. Our room was comfortable (a bit chilly on arrival, but we were given a heater to use which was perfect) and we were provided with fresh towels every day. In summary, our stay here was the epitome of French hospitality. We would highly recommend a stay at Le Prieuré & would definitely return.

This is an incredible place to stay. We were here for three nights and Giles and his wife (the owners) were brilliant. So helpful with everything - from serving breakfast in our room (overlooking the river) to providing ice buckets for our wine. The guest house is beautiful and the garden - with seating overlooking the Loire - is wonderful. The town of Cosne Cours sur Loire (two minute walk) has plenty of bars and restaurants and you're only 15 minutes drive from Sancerre. It's an amazing location and great value.

Quality of furnishings, decor etc very plush. Perfect location for Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire. Would highly recommend

Beautiful grounds, beautiful art everywhere. Hosts were wonderful, breakfast was absolutely delicious with fresh local produce, homemade jams…Quiet and very comfortable room. Easy bike storage. Easy walk to restaurants.

Very comfortable and stylish B&B with a lovely pool. The owners were very friendly and accommodating; they served a great breakfast and made our previous evening with a very good restaurant recommendation.

The local town was not the best in France, but it suited our need as a stopover

The location was alsolutely perfect. The gardens were so lovely with a nice seating area and magnificent flowers. It is located very close to town and we enjoyed the town market while we were there. The breakfast was so fresh and just right to start the day. Beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful property both the exterior and stylish interior and excellent hosts. Spacious rooms, joint sitting area, lovely breakfast. Excellent location for exploring the Sancerre and Pouilly-Loire area.

Stunning property presented very well, good private parking, lovely garden with pool, nice hosts.

The breakfast choice was limited for the price paid.
