Welcoming staff, in a beautiful environment. Excellent food. Beautiful view of the lake from our room.

The hotel felt very luxurious like a 5-star resort. We stayed in room 1320 in a suite with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Room was spacious, AC was strong, the pillows were comfortable. The indoor swimming pool is children-free from 12-4pm which I found reasonable, as it’s opened early until late at night which worked well for my family of 4. There’s plenty of activities offered in the hotel such as tennis, paddle board, gym, pool table, swimming, e-bikes, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and kids club, all free of charge for hotel guests. I loved how even after we checked out of the hotel, we were still able to use the facilities that day which is a definite plus. The navette was reliable and would drop us off into town centre and pick us up from the casino free of charge. There is a horseback riding school located 2 mins drive away which was great for kids to do private lessons. Would definitely return!

The jacuzzi water temperature was borderline luke warm, definitely wasn’t hot enough so it wasn’t as relaxing as I would’ve liked, but that’s hardly anything I would complain about given all the positives with the hotel.

This is one of those rare hotels where everything is perfect. The bedrooms and ensuite are impeccably done. Very comfortable beds. Quiet surroundings for restful sleep. Truly perfect. The pool is an exceptional facility, accessible by elevator on each floor. The different lounging areas (bar, library, and endless terraces) were lovely and inviting. The staff meet the highest standards and are professional without being stuffy. A brilliant choice for a relaxing stay with panoramic views of Lac Leman.

Road signs to the hotel could be improved.

The lake view room was superb. Plenty of space and luxurious. The hotel is very large with lots of seating and large well tended grounds. We ate at la table. The food was superb. Sat on the outdoor terrace and watched the sunset. The hotel is set high on the hill giving amazing views but if you want to go down into the town there is a free funicular tram or courtesy bus.

There is nothing to dislike.

Beautiful historic hotel and great facility with Spa, pool, golf and restaurant/cafe. The hotel is located at the hill overlooking Lake Geneva, wonderful views. It has a very nice spa and a nice indoor pool (a bit small) very clean . There is a vey nice main restaurant for breakfast/brunch and dinner. Also there's a bar menu that can be ordered until late. Room Service is great and the staff is very nice and helpful. We also used the baby center for our baby and they took very good care of the baby. Everyone we met was very nice, attentive and hospitable.

It's that kind of hotel for rich people where the staff expects to get a tip for opening your door or showing your room and I am not at all confortable with this attitude so no tips from me.

Very attentive and kind staff group, supportive with my requirements. Breathtaking views and outlook from our room. Beautiful room, I upgraded to a Castle Room on the first floor as the deluxe room we were originally booked into (as a joint room with my family) was not big enough for my requirements. Although my Deluxe room on the second floor was beautifully appointed. My daughter's deluxe room however, was much bigger. Excellent cuisine and wine choices. Beautiful hotel.

The second deluxe room in our group was not as spacious as some other deluxe rooms but this is not a problem in itself and would suffice if there were children in a group as it has adjoining door. L'Occitaine products are beautiful but the tiny containers are very difficult to use and sometimes product was not replenished.

The location of Hotel Ermitage is perfect with glorious views of the Lac Leman / Lake Garda. The Deluxe lake view room was beautiful, well appointed with very comfortable large bed, excellent views of the garden and lake beyond, from a loggia which had enough room for chair and desk. My mother requested an upgrade at her own cost and her Castle Room was just wonderful, spacious with excellent amenities, a seating area which doubled up as a lounge area and a Loggia and separate spacious balcony area - very much worth the additional cost. There was very much attention to detail, such as beautiful furnishings and little details such as eco coffee pods for the machine, which we very much appreciated. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely gorgeous and linked to the grounds of the sister hotel, The Hotel Royale. The Ermitage is beautiful hotel, very quite, beautifully decorated and the dining experience very much what we would expect from a quality French restaurant. None of this would mean anything without the wonderful hospitality of the staff. All individual staff members had a lovely approach, with typical French manners, discreet and gracious service throughout. In particular, the gentleman who assisted us with room change for my mother was particularly attentive and supportive with our needs as was the young woman serving us in the restaurant on Sunday evening. However all members of staff were wonderful and attentive. Absolutely, faultless service throughout. We cannot wait to return to the Hotel Ermitage and Evian and thank you so much for making my Mother's birthday so special. With all due apologies for my school girl French - Merci beaucoup pour votre merveilleuse hospitalité.

Nothing of great significance but the hotel/ housekeeping should consider improving the availability of toiletries in the bathroom. L' Occitane range is lovely but the small bottles were not enough for 2 people.

The room was very spacious for two adults, a 4 year old and a baby. The view from the balcony was excellent. WE LOVED the pool. Our children were treated so well - they even prepared a robe for our 4 year old daughter and 9 months old baby. Everything was super clean. Thank you so much!

I tried to iron my clothes but the iron was very old and it did not iron even the simplest shirts. I had to pay for ironing service. At least a small hand steamer would be a much nicer option. I really recommend the hotel to switch to a regular baby crib because it was really difficult to use the one you had.

We had massages which were excellent. The hotel has a beautiful lake view. Unfortunately our room doesn't have the lake view, however it is quite and comfortable.

There is not bottle water offered in the room
