Everything was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous—so fresh, delicious, and set in such a beautiful atmosphere. We loved it so much that we tried dinner too, and it was beyond our expectations. Only then we realized we were staying at a Michelin-starred chef’s home! Clare and Mark are warm hosts, we had a truly memorable experience!

What a lovely place. The rooms were really comfortable, with lovely little touches everywhere e.g the nomad Bluetooth speaker. The food off the scale good and ridiculous value for money. But what makes it stand out are Mark & Clare. This is a labour of love and it shows Thank you for putting us up for 2 great nights . Norman & Odile Btw I found my Monzo . This is exactly the type of place I love to stay at when visiting Europe from the USA. Sharing meals prepared by the hosts with other guests from other countries is so fun, so invigorating, so inspiring. And the meals at Les Metairie des Songes are unbeatable, imaginative and exquisite. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and were close to all the beauty of Perigord Noir.

Clare & Mark run a fantastic bed & breakfast. The attention to detail is outstanding with the rooms and the food service. Mark's cooking in our opinion makes many of the celebrity chefs look like amateurs. If you are reading this review with a view to staying here, you MUST dine in at least one evening. We guarantee you will walk away from the table in absolute amazement at what you have just eaten. Clare has thought of everything with regards to the rooms, which are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend it.

This is a French gem. The place is located in the country with wonderful views. The house is over 200 years old but remodeled with keeping charm of old house. Clara beautifully decorated and keep it very clean. Location is very convenient to visit different sites if you have a car. It was very easy to find different beautiful villages around. Everything you need was provided including cold water in the refrigerator, bathroom items, slippers. Mark treated us with delicious meals and amazing service. Every dish was an art for breakfast and dinner. Clara and Mark wonderful hostesses and I would really like to visit this place again and recommend to everyone who appreciate great food and service.

Great hosts! Quaint and cosy, beautifully decorated house with attention to detail. EXTRAORDINARY cuisine. Would be challenging to find better quality meals!

Situated in a quiet, rural location. Building well maintained and thoughtfully developed to a high standard. Everywhere clean and tidy. Gardens and walks very nice. Easy proximity to Gourdon, a very interesting, small, medieval town.
